I believe the issue is that we are aging out of these fragrances and our palettes are changing. I used to love my Versace Eros but now it’s too wild and young. We are maturing and getting better, more refined. Our tastes are elevating. There’s a Huge difference between being 35 and 42. Big leap in taste level and hopefully in life in general.

I don’t really wear my Sauvage anymore just because so many people have it now and I feel like if everybody is wearing I can’t stand out by wearing the same thing

Awesome video. I look at my collection and I see many I never reach for anymore. I’ve grown out of them and my scent profile has increased or changed as I’m older.
That's a great list. I'm still growing my collection and I don't have any of the ones you mentioned in this video. If you in the spirit of giving I'm definitely not Too Proud to Beg. I would love to have them.

Any scent you gravitate away from... is a scent you could rediscover at any point and just fall in love with all over again. Or it's done what it could have done for you in your life. Either way, good end result. Nothing to feel bad about.
I pick based on my mood. I will have to reach for a couple you mentioned this week

Found this video on my recommendations. I agree with you on the montblanc red, it smells like aqua de gio and it's pretty strong.
I used to be a real big RL guy and I still love my RL Blue Parfum, but now that I've gotten into niche colognes I'm loving Sphinx Black Anubis and Sphinx Damascena..... they just smell so good and las all day.

1. SpiceBomb edt (due to harsh opening/also feels like potpourri for men)😅

I keep my collection around 25 bottles, but as I upgrade I ween out my least favorites and my 19 year old son usually is more than happy to take the versace eau fraiche, dolce light blue , most wanted parfum, or whatever else he now has a sizeable free collection. The ones he don't want I pass on to older friends.

Sadly…the one that is getting shuffled to the side is my relatively new purchase of CDNIM EDT. I know that everyone says that the initial synthetic odd scent dries down quite quickly, but for the life of me, it NEVER goes away to where I can’t smell it. Stinks too because when I initially smelled it on the cap/dispenser before even sprayed for the first time..I was completely blown away by how amazing it smelled. I though it was probably the most amazing frag I had ever tested.
Evidently, the EDP has much less of this initial weirdness to it, if any.

For whatever reason, I thought you'd say that you moved on from some of these because they became too popular and everyone else wore them too much. I appreciate that you basically just said that the flanker is better, or that you've found better options.
I totally agree with Sauvage EDT and Eros EDT....I sold mine. I would also throw Dior Homme EDT on this list. I like Dior Homme Intense and Dior Homme Parfum much better.
Agreed with Eros EDT, the EDP is much better. Haven't tried the parfum edition though. I still prefer Eros Flame myself, especially in colder weather. One I have given up on myself is Interlude because I've grown to love iris so Black Iris is the one I reach for nowadays!
The parfum smells just like the edp, but the edp lasts longer, believe it or not. I love the edp

i was expecting for you to have this on ur NOT list: Bentley intense EDP ! Here is a good example of a fragrance reviewer rating this very very good! I cant believe SHE raved about it!

I can’t stop wearing Sauvage EDT, it pulls too many compliments. My wife and daughters love it over any of the other 200+ I’ve owned. Now I don’t wear it all the time, but when I do I usually get the “oh, that’s the one that smells good” comment, or stopped in a store. Like it or hate it, it is what it is.

Bought 200 ml EDT VERSACE Eros and brother, it’s not the same as before. I literally smelled my older bottle and my god it’s a whole different scent. Lasts a few hours on me. I was a HUGE fan of Eros, but now it’s chemical smelly. Still good, but the sweetness and sex appeal from before is not there anymore. Costed me 50 bucks tho, maybe related to why it’s way lower the price nowadays
Legend is still good with me. Definitely good for work. So sick of eros, Paco raban 1 million purfum, amber oud, ultra male, ombre leather, ysl perfume, tom ford costa azzurra, . These I'm definitely sick of. So some lucky teen is getting some perfume this weekend. I've got 38 other brands left in my collection.

Everyone has Dior Sauvage now main reason i dont wear it , I wear Dior Elixir now definitely more expensive but you wont be disappointed i always stand out from the crowd with it on definitely top 1 in my collection !

…i wear a different fragrance everyday and occasionally a different evening scent mostly just to keep it interesting but also to make sure i cycle through my collection…agree MB Legend Red is meh…imo the line is good in 30ml, affordable, stylish bottles and Night is very sexy !
I only get ones I know I will wear and once they are finished I usually upgrade or keep the same...only Dior I liked was Elixir so bought my first 100ml bottle on sale/discount so I should finish the bottle since I really like this one (didn't like the original at all)...and Armani Stronger With You Intensely and Boss 6 Intense....all others I stopped using and did not re-buy....once these finish I am sure some will be completely out of rotation...to give my smells a unique touch...mixing or layering scents can create your own unique signature smell
Just came across your channel today. Great content brother. I scrolled through your videos a bit, but I did not see any skincare topics. I may have missed them, because you have a lot of great videos I have to get to speed on. Skincare is something I want to take a lot more serious. I am mid 50’s, and now live in a tropical country, and I need to learn to take care of my skin better.
I recently gave away Diptyque “Eau Duelle” and BDK “Pas Ce Soir”. They both smell great but they don’t last long so I found myself not reaching for them that much anymore. I like to enjoy my fragrance at least most of the day and neither of those provided that on me.
I too don’t reach for Dior Suvage or Eros edt. Although I have a small collection of 36 fragrances, I blind bought these right when I started collecting two years ago based on the hype especially from Jeremy fragrance. I regret buying them.

Wanted is just completely unremarkable compared to it's flankers, especially at the prices you can get Wanted By Night at discounters for. That stuff is a complete steal.

I know what you mean about the smell of Silverlake…but it is a GREAT fragrance. I may like it better than Acqua di Gio.

One of my favorites I no longer reach for is Issey Miyake L’eau D’Issey. I reach for the Intense version instead for a number night out.
I don’t reach for YSL Y EDT, (to linear), Boss the Scent ( I love it but it only last for 5 mins), Mont Blanc Individual ( I prefer to wear Versace the Dreamer) if i wanna smell like fresh fabric softener, and I find myself wearing Spicebomb Extreme more than the original. Just a few for me.

Wanted is good it's just not attention grabbing. Could easily be a signature scent that can be worn anytime
Monte Blanc explorer because I have aventus and hacivat. I don’t wear really any designers anymore unless it’s the high end private like if a designer.
The Versace Eros EDP was a big disappointment. It doesn't carry the weight of a typical parfum in my opinion. Compared to a Tom Ford or the Valentino EDP the Versace EDP needs work. I found that the Versace EPD lacks hang time and fades out before lunch. Nice vid. Keep'em coming
Funny because eros edp stay pretty long on my shirt and body, but i felt it smelled too feminime, smell like a powdery vanila woman make up.

Body Chemistry also has an impact on how a cologne smells. I can wear any cologne, and it smells great.

I have a polo cologne specifically red and I blind bought it due to a recommendation but I don’t prefer the dna on that one and it doesn’t go best with my chemistry so it’s sitting there most of the time
Oils last longer and everytime I wear oils I get compliments
Some oils depending on where you get it from, smells better and last longer than the $300.00 colognes. So i feel you about the oils.

I can't wear Versace Pour Homme anymore because someone liked the way I smelled and instead of asking me what I was wearing, went through my drawer, found out, and completely swagger jacked me. Pretended like he'd been wearing it and claimed it was a gift once I found a bottle in his car. I wouldn't have cared if he said: "You put me on, thanks." This probably sounds ridiculous but that scent meant a lot to me. It was my signature scent and no one around me was wearing it at the time even though it's a well known classic. I'm still kinda bitter about it lol. Can anyone relate or am I crazy?

I usually don't tell people what I wear. Although most people coworker strangers family friends and especially my woman love what I smell like, they complement me all the time. No one but my lady knows what I wear. All signs that I have a significant smell of cologne and most people only buy what's popular. It's been this way ever since I was in my early 20s and now I'm in my 40s. I also purchase colognes you only can buy from the stores who manufactures it. Yes, I live in NYC. Actually, my recent preferable cologne in the past 5 years can be bought in Macy's and was sold out once. But that was only because of distribution and covid.

I was a Dior man for about a year but all of a sudden it just became blah to me. So I saved some dollars up and bought my first bottle of gold top 540 Rouge and I've been on that ever since
I have come to realize that I no longer care for designer fragrances. Once I hopped on the niche train there was no turning back! Many niche fragrances offer a more complex note selection that make for unique and stand out fragrances

That travel bottle of the sauvage had a different scent then the larger bottle idk what that was about gonna just have to take my word for it. Can’t find the travel sizes anywhere

We're in flanker hell. That's the bane of the fragrance industry in this modern era. It's like the marketing teams are pushing to have new stuff every quarter so they tell the perfumer to just tweek the OG DNA just a little. Probably takes a day.
