- Meet some of the members of the outstanding 11-piece band from Moscow: Ksenia, Serge aka Serhiy, Leonid and Igor from Leonid & Friends, the band that has taken the USA for a wonderful ride with their outstanding tribute to the band Chicago/CTA. Interviewing the bandmembers is Judy Shatkin (aka Judy Night) from 210 Live in Highwood, IL.
Sound quality poor due to great amount of noise in the background and loss of foam piece surrounding the mic--luckily we had the small wired mic handy (would have been a complete bust without that) but we do extend apologies that it is not top-quality sound.

Yes, I discovered them entirely by accident and they caught me by surprise by their enormous talent. I'm now a fan! Love the smiles they bring to their performances. They appear so happy for being Russians! Maybe it's the music, or maybe my stereotype is entirely wrong. I hope I can attend one of the concerts someday.
Pianist Valentina Lisitsa was also "discovered" after posting videos of her playing on youtube. Since then she has played with the finest orchestras and venues (Royal Albert Hall, to name one), as well as a recording career with Decca records.

One thing I love about these guys is how unpretentious they are. Humility is a sign of the truly greats. That's the difference between a 'rock star' and a true musician, who is in it not for his/her ego trip, but just for the love of great music.

They struggle with English until the first note is played .. then IT'S ON !! AWESOME !!! ABSOLUTELY LOVE THESE GUYS AND BEAUTIFUL LADY !! Such humble people ! Makes them even MORE likable !!
Leonid is a complete music genius! He has accomplished the impossible! True music legend!
He's a hell of a good bass player too. And that's coming from a former NYC professional bass player.
Igor may not have the best English skills (but big 👏 for trying), but he can play the drums in the style of Danny Serephine like no one else I've ever heard. I respectfully take my hat off to you, Igor. You are a damn good drummer and a cool dude.

Leonid is an engineering and producing GENIUS! The other members are world class talents. I've never heard a big league original act that is any better than these folks, including Chicago. Amazing to watch and listen to. Big props from Memphis Tennessee, home of Elvis Presley!

They are Awesome , Love listening to them . Have been a Chicago Fan since the late 60's.
I remembered when they first started, they were called CTA Chicago Transit Authority.
I was at Sony Hall a couple of days after they played(Smithereens show), did not know who they were until we got back home, did a You Tube search and was floored by their music!!!!!!! Been a Chicago fan since CTA, now a BIG Leonid and Friends fan too!!!!

I wish I could have seen them live. I'm a time traveler (in a manner of speaking) and these guys take me back to my childhood every time I listen to them. They are truly gifted and blessed with talent. I hope they do a cover of *Introduction* and *No Tell Lover* and *Manipulation* and last but not least *Poem 58* .
This band is one of the finest tribute bands to come out in years and they truly do honor the original band.
I discovered these guys on RUclips days after they played NYC otherwise I would have run to get tickets! Lol on the horrible mic! Good to hear these guys talking!

I was there!! 210 Live Highwood, IL. Awesome concert and friendly, down to earth people in the band. I was lucky enough to meet them.
I met them in Dallas and they were like kids who got Christmas twice in a week. Igore is a really nice dude. And Sergey doesnt act like the killer guitarist he is. They all seemed so humble and appreciative which was really nice. They stood and took personal pics with fans until the line ended and hung out just talking to fans despite language getting in the way at times. The horn players are lets say different. Lol

I am so happy to have just bought tickets for their show at "The Plaza Live" in Orlando, Fl. on Oct, 2nd 2021. The only shows I have seen there were Johnny Winter 2014 and Delbert McClinton 2017? It is an old movie theater and has great acoustics. I can't wait!

They are so relatable! I feel like if I saw them in Concert they'd be the type to meet people in the audience learn about their Home 🏠 Town! What's so sad about the Music 🎶😂 scene in America is that it seems to be populated with people who's egos and Auto tune see me to rule above all else! They are a breath of fresh air 😄!
I so agree with Randy Henderson's comments about doing an interview in an unfamiliar language. This band is totally awesome. What musicians!! Serhiy's English is quite good, And he is a most talented guitar player and singer.

Just discovered this incredibly amazing group and I find myself playing their videos constantly. When will they come to Texas?
They played in Dallas just a couple of weeks ago. I am in Austin but I went up there for the show but I missed it because I was very sick and stayed in bed at the hotel. Seriously bummed about that.

Russian people are awesome! Russia nowadays is kind of like America in the 70's.
It is amazing how they can sing in English that well without speaking it fluently. That is musician’s ear I guess.
Is the band performing only in the US? Or is it on an international tour? Whichever, they deserve it!
At any rate, I'd love to watch this band perform in Manila. I'm not gonna miss it!

Russians are strongest and proudest people We are amazing peoples and we are made of iron. We are not soft but resilient. Our leaders once told your leaders ‘we will bury you’. Chicagovitch is amazing. Leonids grandchildren are listening to rap. The next generation of Russian rap musician and dancers will bury your future children

Sadly, some cameras just can't handle the sound pressure or they are being operated by people who are used to auto-everything. I think they probably had the audio set manually but no way to read the levels.
Great band outdoing current Chicago. Playing their greatest era songs before they went pop.
These guys/gal are great...but where is the lead guitarist---the dude who kinda looks like a young Justin Timberlake? I still can't wrap my head around how he NAILS that guitar solo on 25 or 6 to 4. His cover of the intro on "Questions 67 & 68" also blows me away.
