Note: the slight distortion at the end of the clean audio clip is due to RUclipss compression methode. It seems the dynamic range of the recording was too large. So no, it's not your speakers fault. ;-)

Yes they are making the SL3's but i meant they are not making them like this one in the video. The new SL3's are with active pickups and jackson is not making them with passives anymore.

@GuitarExclusive I can see your point, it don't have much value but when I see a review I like to ear the sound of "show of" because I can't do that and I think something like "in the future I can sound like that" and it will influence me to buy some particular guitar/amp, and I believe that, like me, there should be many others.
I am not pretending to be a "wanna be" of some guitarist but I am not rich so I can't try all the guitars and amps in the world, I had to listen to every possible sound

@GuitarExclusive My unique suggest is test that guitar with a Marshall MA100c because, that combo amp works with valves and that's pretty amazing because is something that "a non professional guy" like me can have, when I say "can have" I am pointing at the price ~750€ for a valve amp from Marshall is a good deal, or it should be I search but never find a good review about that.

@@kacperkublicki8887 old usa models have mother or pearl logo and the shape of the headstock it self is more slim...
hey what year was this one made? im just wondering cus i think theres 2 different time periods in which the sl3 were made, and im pretty sure the ones with black hardware are slightly better, and are the older models

Hi there, I’m enquiring on the off chance that this is the exact guitar I sol 10 years ago, I fitted it with the Seymour Duncan dime bucker in the bridge
Does it has a split near the headstock?

Thats the guitar i bought 10 years ago ,it had a dimebucker and a split near the headstock that had been repaired ,played amazing,still does,ive swapped out all the hardware over the years to use on other guitars but its still setup with a schaller floyd and single emg81 in the bridge now.

replicant #85 I’ll explain! This one is one of the 2006-2008 SL3s, the ones made in that era got upgrades, the one with the licensed are the cheap ones from the 90s era to 2005, in 2006 is when the Pro Series became more quality because they are high end since 2006. Necks are more quality since 2006 in every import Jackson guitars (JS, X and Pro Series). It also got black hardware the SL3, it has been part of the Pro series since then. Chrome hardware are the cheap 90s ones, you can get the 2006 era SL3 for 800 USD, the quality is early the same quality as the SL1 from the US Select Series, the tremolo is an FRTO200, original Floyd Rose Made in Korea not licensed, so it’s basically a real Floyd but not made by Schaller Germany, it’s made in Korea. I actually own the 2006 era SL3, Japanese Made, 2007, great guitar! It’s comparable to a Japanese ESP M-II!

Making harmonics are easy ? ( I played in almost 10 guitars and I can say for my little experience that is easier to make harmonics in some of then, so what is your opinion about that guitar ? )

@GuitarExclusive: ahhh i see, ima get sum V30's. and yea a Dimebucker on Alder sounds weird, its better on Mahogany body. In my opinion its better with an EMG 81(my SL3) or also a DiMarzio Super Distortion or a DiMarzio PAF (NOT a PAF PRO) on the bridge, IMO DiMarzio PAF PRO sounds and feels like whatever on the bridge but it sounds better on the neck. Cheers to more brutal sounds.

I have the same pickups in a DK2 (bolt on version of the same guitar) and they made it bright as hell. Give a great lead tone but crap for rythm imo.

I put a like on this video because your sound quality but unfortunately I had too say the review was poor, you can do a lot more reviewing a guitar, I don't know if you can shred or make a fast solo ( I can't) but if you can you should record it and say what you think about that, if the guitar is comfortable and things like that, you can also use all the pickups for clean and "metal" to let people ear the differences, anyway keep the good work :P
