Hi fellow Dominar Owner here. I have done 33k on this machine in the last one year. And I must say this is the most honest long term review of the bike. The bike is surely made for the highway and is really tough to ride in city traffic. Good job.
war X Unfortunately yes. I, in particular, did faced a lot of problems but thanks to Bajaj Service Centres, they are now all gone. Infact mine was the first batch Dominar and with the latest ECU updates, the vibrations too are gone. The bike performs really well and gives good mileage.
I've owned the dominar since August 2018, and the mileage is exactly the same, 35+ on highway, and 27 30 in city.. there's not much wear N tear , and also everything else has held up pretty well till now
I couldn’t agree more with the other viewers. This is a fantastic review of Dominar 400 & instantly makes me want to buy it. Thank you for covering the necessary aspects in short & sweet manner. Good review!
Hey Bro!! Your review is honest and mutual feelings of every Dominar owner. My bike is exactly 1 year old and I have done 28.5k Kms approx. Good luck with all the Domi owners, Thanks to Bajaj for giving a wonderful package and pride in this price segment for us.
hello. I'm Kushal. I'm planning to buy dominor or thunderbird 350. my height is 6.2ft and I'm bulky. which of these two bike's would you suggest? or is there any other bike that you would suggest? please reply
Hi Kushal, The Dominar and Thunderbird both can accommodate tall riders with ease. The Thunderbird has more relaxed seating while the Dominar has more power. What will be your use? Any specific expectations from the Motorcycle?
The Sportztourer mostly city use. I travel total distance of 42kms up and down everyday for work. both up and down included 42kms in Bangalore's heavy traffic need power and comfort and reliability.
If you ride both these motorcycles for long then you will realize that none of these two are favorable for riding in the dense city traffic. I have been to Bangalore on my RTR 200 from Mumbai and I know the kind of traffic you have mentioned here! Considering your height and weight, Enfields do have an edge here as they usually don't heat as compared to other similar capacity motorcycles. I would suggest you to take a few long test rides to make yourself comfortable with the decision making.
Very nice review. Reaffirms my belief that the Dominar 400 is a worthy upgrade from my Duke 200, which I have done a lot of touring on. I love this mini Diavel!
Thanks Sayantan for appreciating the review 😊 Check out this video series where I have shared a lot about the Dominar 400: ruclips.net/p/PLDzB4F3L5AFrSu-Q_kWTkxVU1yZqjM608
I have been riding dominar since 2018 now and done 36k kms on it. Everything you described is perfect except that the chain and the tyres have to be changed after 15k kms. My tyres lasted for 27000kms but most of the owners change at 15k. There's periodic maintenance cost which isn't mentioned here but you can say it's for every 15k kms. Also, I have done many long trips on this machine recent one being Hyderabad - Leh and back 5000kms in total and the part about fuel efficiency is wrong. It gives 26-27 on highways if you go at 100-110kmph and if you hit good speeds the mileage falls to 21-23 and in the cities the Max mileage you can expect is 25. Other than this very good video bro.
Thanks Eshwar for sharing your first hand experience here. Happy to see a Dominar owner on the channel 😊 I have updated here on the paid service: ruclips.net/video/o1RXP3UQ4Pw/видео.html
First time I heard music in a review video that was not distracting. Dominar is an awesome bike. My only worry are the vibes at higher RPM. It's stability on highways at high speed is enough to win hearts. 😃
I came from Lonavala just now. I was initially apprehensive about riding in the rain but I am so glad I did the ride. The bike didn't disappoint, took me to Lonavala and brought me home safely. The weight felt a boon when facing crosswinds near the Morbe dam. This is truly a value for money bike.

The Sportztourer really appreciateable and your hardwork on the contents and the points you tell is what as a owner we all except broo really awesome but RTR 200 is my love IAM waiting for it 😂😂😁😁😁😁😁
Hi Shreyas, I did mention a lot of points without being specific for example it is not for those who commute inside the city in heavy traffic or for those who are looking for the refinement of a 2 cylinder etc. It's not that the Dominar cannot be ridden inside the city it's just that it won't be as enjoyable like a FZ 25. As I said it's built for the highways and can easily keep up with the fast pacers 😊

Hi.. brother I am planning to buy Dominar and ask a Dominar owner here in Delhi he said it's have heating issue in traffic like roads. What do you say about city ride of Dominar ? Waiting for your reply it will help me a lot .
Hi Amrit, As I have said in this video riding in heavy city traffic is not a joy on this motorcycle, it is not that you cannot ride, it's just that it won't be as enjoyable as you would expect from a light weight 200cc motorcycle. Heating is common in every mid and big capacity engines, similar is the case with Duke 390 and even the RR310. This big capacity engines need to dissipate heat so heating is natural. I have shared a lot of information and experience with the Dominar in this video series: ruclips.net/p/PLDzB4F3L5AFrSu-Q_kWTkxVU1yZqjM608 P.S: Regarding the channel name, well I consider myself as a Sportztourer (i.e sports tourer), your comment gave me a different perspective 😊
Hi Santosh, Yes heat dissipating from the engine towards leg is common for medium/big capacity engines. In case of Dominar the heating starts only after you spend a considerable time in slow moving traffic and the amount of heat is low if you compare it with the Duke 390.
This is a very Good and pure review only meant for information and knowledge which is inteded to be passed on. Thnks Bro But i have one question during so much long rides how is riding comfort for driver i mean is its seating posture is cmfrtble for long rides ???
I am the owner of Honda CBR 250R i am thinking to upgrade to dominor or royal Enfield interceptor 650 due to very expensive maintenance cost of CBR 250R. I had riden dominor 2018 model of my friends i felt it more refined than my CBR 250r 2012 model. Will it be a worthy update because CBR is very expensive to maintain it cost me 15000 to 20000 for one year. And i am conserned about reliability of Bajaj dominor as its new to market . I am getting a millage around 20 to 25 kmpl on CBR both city and highway combined. And heat management is excellent in my bike.
its been 3 years ,would be a grt way to give some more ownership details of this dominar points like mileage vibration any faults in hardware cost to own per km and should this be bought as second hand bike after 3 yrs of use and 20000+km ridden
Thanks Adarsh, I do have plans for the fork oil change but no paddock stand or similar arrangements as of now. Will definitely make a video when I change it 👍

As I have said in this video riding in heavy city traffic is not a joy on this motorcycle, it is not that you cannot ride, it's just that it won't be as enjoyable as you would expect from a light weight 200cc motorcycle. Heating is common in every mid and big capacity engines, similar is the case with Duke 390 and even the RR310. This big capacity engines need to dissipate heat so heating is natural.
I have shared a lot of information and experience with the Dominar in this video series: ruclips.net/p/PLDzB4F3L5AFrSu-Q_kWTkxVU1yZqjM608
P.S: Regarding the channel name, well I consider myself as a Sportztourer (i.e sports tourer), your comment gave me a different perspective 😊
Thank you. It's good to share small insights in areas which are not your concentration. Viewers love these small details :)
Do you get overheat from engine spreading to the legs in city traffic??
Hi Santosh,
Yes heat dissipating from the engine towards leg is common for medium/big capacity engines.
Yes, long distance rides are comfortable. The riding stance is good, if you want a more upright riding posture then you can go for handlebar risers.
Nice review my friend i am a pilipino watching frm jeddah ksa i love that dominar
Simple and excellent review. Keep it up. Very genuine.

Informative video ........ Love ur effort bro & and will u make video on fork oil change on dominar 400
Thanks Adarsh,
I do have plans for the fork oil change but no paddock stand or similar arrangements as of now.
Will definitely make a video when I change it 👍
(Ralco speed bluster) review. Is it having better grip in nomal road? Or think for Pirelli Sport demon, as I have same size rear tire as dominor.....
Hi Tamal,
I think Sport Demon is available in 150/70 while you need 150/60 which is available in Pirelli diablo rosso 2.
