    Bless that Police Chief for doing an investigation to save that serviceman from certain financial and career ruin. His actions were certainly rare. Many police departments depend on these roadside tests to make drug arrests. I firmly believe they know how inaccurate these tests are because lab test results are repeatedly coming back negative. This is so disturbing because of devastation that it causes to innocent peoples’ lives.
    This gives us a good opportunity to remind ourselves to NEVER give the police permission to search your car. At a minimum, they will waste your time (this poor man waited an hour in the cold as the police tore apart his car). They also often damage your car. There are several RUclips videos that show police actually using knives to tear up the upholstery in cars being searched. At worst, they could find something left by someone else or that they actually planted. And finally, they can use one of the aforementioned drug test kits that often produce false positives causing a path of destruction to your life.

    • @bobmazzi7435
      @bobmazzi7435 11 месяцев назад +4

      He probably missed a reporting date. And may well have an arrest on his record that he has to explain every time he comes up for a performance review, security clearance or is considered for a promotion. And once he leaves the service, any time that he's asked if he's ever been arrested, he has to answer "yes" and explain. This type of situation leaves a stain on a person for life, even if there's never been a conviction.

      I wouldn't trust they'd little two dollar test.. I saw in another video on this same traffic stop,
      That there's over 30000 cases like this across the nation. And in georgia alone it's like a thousand per year

      @@RyanSpike The f*ked up thing is it goes on your record as an arrest, even if it is 100% baseless and false. Now if any cop pulls you over, they assume you are a druggie. Also have to answer yes if you are arrested. I think there are expungement but a record always remains. There should be a large settlement for ruining a reputation. Some insurance polices ask if you were ever arrested for a felony.

    Is the implication here that if the innocent person hadn't been a soldier this wouldn't have been investigated, or made the news?

    This just proves on top of it that Our legal system and government is severely flawed and manipulative anyway. And something needs to be done. People are also blowing 3 zeros and still being arrested for impaired driving because our a bogus flawed field test. Something definitely needs to be done about our broken legal system.

    por eso nunca hables con la policía, nunca confíes en ninguna palabra que salga de sus bocas, no les des permiso de revisar tu carro, no contestes preguntas a menos que sea estrictamente necesario , ellos no estan para ayudarte, solo están buscado pretextos para meterte preso, esposarte incluso golpearte o matarte y lo mas triste es que nunca enfrentaran las consecuencias de sus acciones

    Even international Customs and Border Control run a second better test with a special machine before arresting a traveller. They never arrest based on the packet test alone!
