Dany says: "It's about missing someone and the energy this person gives you. You're drawn into their gravitational pull and brightness - like an automatic sun." The video was put together in one week. They shot it at Tecate Pa’l Norte in Monterrey on March 31st. The video team is led by Beto Ramos, Pau’s drum teacher, and Iván Chávez, recent graduate of the University of Monterrey film school. The team they lead is top notch. Their first major TW video was the Metropolitan concert. Dan Lancaster is listed in the credits as a co-producer of the song, a lyrics contributor and providing keyboards. Dan was a touring keyboardist for Muse.
Dave, do you remember DPA saying they talked songwriting/collaboration with Matt Bellamy during the tour? I can’t help thinking Dany is referencing him in her description. Just thinking out loud.
I was at their live show last friday in Lisboa, Portugal (i am portuguese). They played this song. Live this song is more metal. Alejandra filled in for the multitracks voice tracks that accomply Daniela and Paulina's vocals found in the studio version. To nobody's surprise, this song brought the house down.
OK, first the technical side; in this song Dany is using a new Guitar, it’s a baritone Fender Jim Root version - it’s a 30” scale length (instead of the standard version 25.5”), which means that it can be tuned lower, in this case A instead of E. She’s also using a Zyvex fuzz factory for the badass distortion (which is the same as Matt Bellamy uses in his Manson guitar - remember the weird noises in Plug in baby at the start?), this sort of helps to understand the Muse vibe! Alé is also playing her bass tuned down as well which adds to the heaviness of the song; Pau is playing some new drum fills - triples which again add to it all. The Photographic work was done using high quality cameras and Drones, which explains some of the views being rather different and making it more creative. I think you’re pretty close with your analysis of the lyrics but not completely sure that it’s the way it was intended - you know that they always leave things a bit open to interpretation, which makes it more interesting! Glad you liked this one, it is so far my current favourite, as regards the future who knows? 🤷♂️
There are no professional live audio versions of the song, but lot's of fan-cam recordings (with marginal audio). This song was just added to their live setlist as they have started their Spring tour of Europe. I love the grungy-distorted guitar/bass paired with the Pop elements. Interestingly, one of the credited producers for this song (Dan Lancaster) mixed for Muse and has toured with them as a supporting musician. From a recent Her Campus interview about the song. "The inspiration for “Automatic Sun” came to us very spontaneously. We’ll admit that our creative juices were very slow the day we wrote this song, it wasn’t until we were brainstorming with random words and phrases that we stumbled upon Automatic Sun, and it sounded hella cool. We didn’t know what it meant, but we knew we had to do something with it. From there, we thought about how there are people who just light up rooms like that, they’re little “automatic suns,” and we wrote an entire song on how the chemistry with a person you perceive as an automatic sun is intoxicating and beautiful."
This uis definitely inspired by Muse. In fact, Dan Lancaster who tours with Muse as a 4th musician was co-producer of this track. They wrote Hell You Call a Dream with him when The Warning was touring with Muse in the UK.
Randy - I would have bet against them turning around a finished video in a matter of days, but TW proved my wrong (again)! Using the studio audio probably helped as it avoided having to do the audio workflow.
@@RandyTWA Doing well, thanks. We miss you over at the Patreon chat. I hope you are well. Regarding Groovy Chaos, not only did they have lots of cameras, they had ARRI pro cinema cameras.

The distortion and outro is very Muse like. They always rock, and I like that they are giving us "heavy". I think they will take off even more this year.
About their live performance in Lisboa, Portugal, when it come to announce their names, Alejandra got the longest ovacion from the audience. Also, Daniela and Paulina are prettier in real life than in the videos. Alejandra looks absolutly the same both live and in the videos, she is a veritable goddess, she is both photogenic and a natural beauty, quite a rarety.

One of the many things I like about The Warning is how you can hear the influences in their music, but it's still very much their own sound (if that makes sense).
They use studio recordings for the sound when filming outdoor festival performances (like they did with Money). This is because they are not able to capture and mix the sound to the standards they need for an official video release. They are not the first to do this by a long long long way.
Where are you getting this info from ? This is only the second video where they've used a studio track on a live performance - have you not seen "Hell You Call A Dream",that is live ! Many artists have done this (I'm not particularly a fan of doing this),but it is what it is. As for them not being able to replicate their music live ? They do use some backing tracks in their live performances (I'm sure you know that),and their live performances are way better than any of their studio tracks.
@@robhaunui3343 Precisely - I quoted the only two they have done the live video and studio sound combination. Not good environments to get clean sound for an official video release. Where did I get the info - its stated by the Warning for just those two videos. Yes I've seen HYCAD live. That was an indoor performance and their own gig using their sound system/board with full access to and control of the recording. Money and Automatic Sun are outdoor performances as either a support act or as one of many bands at a festival sharing the festival sound board. Also if you listen to the live sound from the fan cams of the AS performance you will get to hear the extremely loud pryo/air jets being used on stage and the sound of another band bleeding in from the other festival stage. I think it now becomes obvious why live sound wasnt used for AS.
First off, love your reactions to The Warning. Dany is using a Fender baritone guitar and Ale (Thunder Goddess) had to tune her low (top string) B string down to A to match the sound of Dany's guitar. So the normal 5 string bass tuning is B, E, A, D, G and in this song it's tuned to A, E, A, D, G. They just know how to write great songs. Peace and Love.
An automatic sun is a person who lights up your life. When apart, the thought of that person inspires… At least, that’s the sense I think they were going for. This song hits disorientingly hard the first time. It grows on you rapidly. The complexity is really cool. Hard rock, metal, pop, swing, grunge… and yeah, Muse influence, are all in there somewhere. It’s very creative and quite the ear worm! I enjoyed the reaction.
gather your thoughts,, they do do that to us the "thing" about Pau, she plays TO the song, no thrashing, tasteful rolls and fills,,at perfect moments..
I LOVE this song. Could they be singing about addiction to our electronic devices or even addiction to social media ? Funny thing, i think they are so much better than Muse or even Halestorm. Like the apprentice is better than the mentor... :)
The song was released that day at that concert. The video was recorded at the Tecate pal norte concert in Monterrey, Mexico where the girls are from. If they have Muse influence, they really like that band, for this album the production was in charge of Dan Lancaster who worked with Muse, Blink-182, Bring Me the Horizon, A Day to Remember, among others
Nice reaction to this new release! For pretty much every new song, the artist will release a studio version before any official live performance release. I’m with you, I think it’s great releasing this audio over the live footage which itself is absolutely amazing. And yes, Muse is a major influence on TW and one of their biggest inspirations growing up. Definitely, you’re not wrong about the Muse vibes in this song. I have a small suggestion going forward: at the start of each reaction video, read off the official title to eliminate any confusion. I see other reactors do this and it’s quite helpful (to both the reactors and the audience). Most of us have seen this already so we knew. But just a helpful suggestion. 🤘thx!
The song "Automatic Sun" seems to depict a complicated relationship where the singer feels both trapped and addicted to someone's presence. The "automatic sun" could symbolize the intense and overwhelming effect this person has on the singer, even though it may not always be positive. The lyrics convey a sense of longing and dependency, mixed with frustration and desire for escape. Overall, it's about the emotional turmoil and intensity of being involved with someone who has a powerful, perhaps destructive, influence on the singer's life.
I've watched a few fan shot videos of this song. It's hard to gauge how close the live is to the studio due to crowd noise, distance from the stage, and general phone quality. One or two had kind of decent sound here and there. Their last release "Hell You Call A Dream" was remixed with the live audio and sounded great.
More is going to be on this album too and HYCAD and Automatic sun are about the same thing as More. So they definitely have a theme for this album. Due to the Warnings passion for mixing influences in new ways I want to call their new sound Passion Rock. I have never heard this mix of sound before. They keep exploring and testing and grow as musicians. They do what ever they feel like and I think that´s cool. I have only respect for these women! And I like your reaction.
I’m Great reaction!! Thanks for that insight on the lyrics I have been enjoying the sound so much I hadn’t considered the lyrical message, now I like it even better 😁 btw I agree about the muse flavor in the song, in fact I recently saw a clip of Dany telling how much she liked Matt Bellamy’s lead guitar playing sooo. Thanks for the reaction🤘
I knew you would like this one. I mean how could you not. Great reaction/lyric break down. Keep your eyes out should be on more new one before the album, I assume in May. Of course I'll let you know soon as it's announced.

All their songs follow click tracks. Makes it very easy to stitch audio and video segments together. One you line up the first note, everything matches until the end.
Hello Beautiful Koality your always so positive and always feeling happy about things I can see that in your eyes and l can definitely tell you enjoy this new video from The WARNING For Automatic Sun even though it just the studio track playing in the video. The next video for this song is a lyric video and maybe after it we get a live performance video.
A great song and video I love everything about this TW nailed it. How about those drum fills and bassline epic. Dany shows another side of her vocals which was magic. DPA are 5 for 5 for me on the new album they are amazing. Great reaction I was looking forward to watching you react to this one thank you. 🔥⚡
Thanks for sharing your thoughts. This song for me is a message to cherish the good relations you have with certain people and evaluate others. Other than that it's my favorite of the new album, so far, and can't wait to hear it live soon!
I am sure they will come out with a live performance when they find the one they want. Dany has said that some of the news songs are about the conflicting emotions of being in the spotlight and performing, she loves performing but touring does have some unpleasant things as well, interesting that the eclipse in the backround is mimicked in the video where they are at the center and the crowd sorrounds them in the drone shots on the fisheye lens.
DAMN... that's what I said when I 1st heard this. Live or not, this 1 totally is on fire and that bass breakdown, as well as the outro is indescribable. As with most TW songs, the lyrics are left up to the listener. Pau kinda makes sure of that ;)
Awesome reaction as always! Just a quick note on the lyrics, all those lyric sites have the lyrics wrong. It's not "psychosomatic love", it's "psychosomatic heart". 🙂
@@charlielightfoot7006 I don't know but even though love makes more sense it doesn't sound like love. Maybe I saw someone say it was heart and that's what I hear now. 🙂 I suppose it's possible whoever entered the lyrics on the OMV made a mistake. Ha!
@@RobertLindabury I remember someone saying "heart" in a comment before I actually looked at the lyrics. Then I saw another comment that said it was "hug," and that actually makes more sense to me. Just wasn't sure how official your source was. Thanks.
When I first heard this I thought the ending of the song was very gritty metal and Muse-like. Loved how the ending change-up is short and final. Sure enough, it’s the last song on the album.
I would say the distortion and structure is very Muse inspired (while the guitar strumming Dany did at the start, is very Matt Bellamy inspired). But these girls are, obviously, their own unique thing. Also, what a cool way to make, what i feel like is an obligatory concept, into something unique with the lenses and zoom in/out
I think your lyric analysis is spot on. From what I gather Dany basically said it's about really missing someone you're really drawn to. So not about toxic relationships per se, but those situations can be borderline!.
⚡🎸🥁🎤⚡I don't think I've ever put as much time into analyzing a song as you did it in those few minutes at your first break 😎. That's not a bad thing it's just different than the way that I listen to music... Maybe if we had access to the lyrics back in the '70s I might do that also. Anyhow, I'm music centric first, and then lyrics second, third, fourth, or maybe even not at all !!
Yes, I totally agree. They write some good lyrics, but some people overemphasize them. The first listen of a new song might not be the ideal time to analyze anything in great detail. I know I always like to listen to the whole song first. Then, I can go back and pick out favorite parts and look deeper.
@@charlielightfoot7006 - Yeah, I've watched some reactors, after listening to 20 seconds of a song want to analyse the lyrics and what the whole song is about ! As I mentioned, I'm not a lyrics guy, but if I was I would think I would want to listen to the whole song uninterrupted the first time to get a feeling for it !
Totally. Same here, actually! But for the purpose of the channel, I wanted to add some sort of contribution to the art… otherwise it felt like blatant copyright infringement for no purpose other than “look at me enjoying this music”. So I try and delve deeper into the whole message behind the song as an art piece! In real life, if I can’t read the lyrics, sometimes I don’t even hear them all. 🙃And just jam to the music! (Though I do think all parts of the song are equally important… otherwise they could just play music with no lyrics.) 🤍
@@KoalityReactions Point well taken, but lyrics can be reviewed/analyzed/enjoyed without the music, which is what you did. I don't begrudge your input with the reaction; I just thought it could have been prioritized differently. 😘
@@charlielightfoot7006 Of course, no offense taken! Though we'll have to agree to disagree there, because I can assure you I'm only listening to the music before I pause. I have to read the lyrics separately (and beforehand) to know what they're saying... so during I'm mostly just enjoying the music and performance! 🤍 As for prioritizing, I totally get it. Pausing and discussing in the middle is purely a numbers game per the algorithm. Sigh. I wish it wasn't so!
Apparently the steam and fire jets were noisy and bands playing on other stages at the festival were audible, making the live audio unsuitable to use in the video. The Warning and Muse: check this out. ruclips.net/video/KTMHR-K8Gm8/видео.html
I don't think a rock band is taken seriously unless they write their own songs. I was thinking about this the other day, and it seems to depend on the genre. Country artists can be well respected when they write their own or partner with songwriters, and I think vocalists can be really successful with mostly covers.

The Warning... Fantastic Band!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That's not a tie-dyed shirt Pau is wearing. It's a print (in front, not sure what's on the back, looks like a martini) of a female body, one a bit more voluptuous than Pau's. I take it as tongue-in-cheek, as if to say, "this is a body I wouldn't mind having and displaying." Like an old man like me with a spare tire wearing a shirt with a print of chiseled pecs and washboard abs. It's good, clean fun. 😉
live footage shot by the band with studio version of the song. If you watch the real live version from this concert the sound is not very good, you can see the bands camera people and the drone flying around.
It's the studio version superimposed on a live performance. But definitely try out some of their well recorded live stuff (not fan cam, the audio is awful for those)

From there, we thought about how there are people who just light up rooms like that, they’re little “automatic suns,” and we wrote an entire song on how the chemistry with a person you perceive as an automatic sun is intoxicating and beautiful.
Me encanta como reaccionas, excelente, muchas gracias, Yo ♥️ The Warning, y está canción es 🔥, saludos desde Venezuela ⚡😎
Pau kinda makes sure of that ;)
Like your burning love ⚡️
Awesome reaction as always! Just a quick note on the lyrics, all those lyric sites have the lyrics wrong. It's not "psychosomatic love", it's "psychosomatic heart". 🙂
All those lyrics sites probably got "love" straight from the OMV description. I'm curious where "heart" is coming from.
Thanks.
Woooo! 🤘⚡🔥
On a side note, look at Pau's shirt again. It ain't tye-dye 🤪
It’s great to see a young female band writing intelligent lyrics about DESIRE.
Is a Great song
Good Call.... Muse is The Warnings Idols ' Let's Go !!!!! These Ladies are Incredible !!!
Love the warning 🤘
Thank you ....but this one is badass I love this band❤❤❤
Loved it!
Yes this is studio and they filmed this for a reason if watch back ground.
When I first heard this I thought the ending of the song was very gritty metal and Muse-like. Loved how the ending change-up is short and final. Sure enough, it’s the last song on the album.
Perfection......and the warning is baddass as well!!
I would say the distortion and structure is very Muse inspired (while the guitar strumming Dany did at the start, is very Matt Bellamy inspired). But these girls are, obviously, their own unique thing.
Also, what a cool way to make, what i feel like is an obligatory concept, into something unique with the lenses and zoom in/out
Ohhhh baby! ❤
As for prioritizing, I totally get it. Pausing and discussing in the middle is purely a numbers game per the algorithm. Sigh. I wish it wasn't so!
They do a video in the same way, in the Money oficial video.
This was never played before Easter Sunday night, yup, last week.
They will probably have a professional shot live version, like they did with Hell you call a dream.
Apparently the steam and fire jets were noisy and bands playing on other stages at the festival were audible, making the live audio unsuitable to use in the video.
The Warning and Muse: check this out.

Love the hair!
The time you stopped to imagine what it ment I'm suprised you remembered the beginning
🤘🤘
Hipnotizante ❤❤❤
I don't think a rock band is taken seriously unless they write their own songs. I was thinking about this the other day, and it seems to depend on the genre. Country artists can be well respected when they write their own or partner with songwriters, and I think vocalists can be really successful with mostly covers.

The Warning... Fantastic Band!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
my fave song off their new album! Maybe check out my fave song of theirs - Money.
✌✌✌
10:42 is Steve Vai baby!!!!
Mi recomendación es vean en vivo a este grupo supera el nivel de un Cd
Sooo badass ❤
Who’s listening to this while watching the total eclipse?
It's the studio version superimposed on a live performance. But definitely try out some of their well recorded live stuff (not fan cam, the audio is awful for those)
