The best part of farming achievements is when you find an older game you want to replay and 100%, only to find out there are multiplayer achievements but the multiplayer is dead 🤡
my fav part about achievment hunting is the feeling that i have basically seen all the game has to offer, and i can definitely put it down and be satisfied with not returning
I recently 100%ed Enshrouded and it got me into the hobby. I didn't even know this hobby existed - the last time I cared about achievements was when I was a kid playing oblivion on the 360. I had SO MUCH FUN completing enshrouded. I'm now working on Helldivers 2, and after that I'm going to have a go at some of my old favourites like MGS1, FFXII and RE1 remake. The thing for me about achievements is that by the end of it, you have a deep understanding of the game. And there's something very satisfying about having a deep understanding of a piece of art. It feels like I've done a short course or studied the art intensely, lmao
The 3rd tip is, I'd say, the most important one. The completionist mindset will eventually ruin a game you would have enjoyed. It's typically preferable to finish the game blindly and then look the remaining achievements up - if you are already exhausted by the game by the time it's finished, then it is likely you wouldn't finish the game 100% anyway, not pleasantly at least.
I'm a Backlog Achievement Hunter. I focus 100% my want to play list. The rest I might or I might not. I tend to not put so much pressure on myself because there's not enough time to complete all of them. Achievement Hunting is something I enjoy a lot and look forward to every time I start a new game. Except games that require me to replay the game too many times with no story beats to it. I'm currently playing on the hardest difficulty in The Evil Within and I can say I've shot myself in the leg by choosing to complete this game. It's so hard!
I heard AKUMU difficulty is very hard, but go for it! I recommend watching @proxidist videos about The Evil Within. About the backlog yeah I completely agree, nowadays I've loosened the pressure aswell, better to just enjoy games first
as a completionist i want to play so many games but sometimes theres just achievement that are just sigh i just love seeing those 100% on every game i play
I just got Steam back in May of this year, and a couple of weeks ago I got the 100% in Half Life 2, my first game I managed to complete. Ever since then I've been kinda insterested in becoming an achievement hunter. I came across this video and now I'm even more interested. Thank you for the tips!
Great video, i think this hobby also has the nicest community and that for me is a HUGE + as everyone tries to help others and get together to have FUN! Something about u seems a little bit portuguese and its great to see portuguese people loving this hobby! (in case u are of course)
Im in the journey to 100% my Xbox backlog, I played during 2 years on and off and just now in 2024 I started playing again, so theres hundreds of games to 100%, I made them mathematics and the approximate time to do is 7000 hours so...wish me luck and patience guys
I just need advice as an Xbox achievement grinder. My list is pretty hefty and I’m over 200k gamerscore. I want to restart since my list is all over the place and I won’t be able to fully clean it up and that just rubs me the wrong way as a perfectionist. The downside to this is I’d have to restart and play games I already have played AND I’d lose a lot of the games I already purchased so I’d have to cheese it out the wazoo to keep certain games. I love achievement grinding, just currently dealing with the consequences of having this account for 6 plus years, and only grinding for about 3 of them.
Your account is your story, try to understand that it really doesn't matter at the end of the day. If it really bothers you tho, a fresh start is always good, if you do choose to restart try to document your journey and make something out of it that you will really enjoy looking back to :)
@@TheRetroDen I would definitely be keeping my current account, but starting a new one with content creation being involved could be the move!! I’d love to document my progress if I do that!!!
Don’t worry, achievements hunting isn’t the most gruelling thing in gaming. Being a completionist (which means you do everything the game has to offer) is WAY worse, but still fun. Also I only heard of what grass is yesterday
So like can you hunt at achievement at a big game and play small game to the side?. Because I wanna hunt Baldur gate 3 100% but same time I wanna play a small game
I would say definitely! As long as you think you can manage both of them in adequate amounts theres no problem in doing as many games at the same time as you want, it all comes down to what suits your playstyle
You can do whatever you want, it's not a law or something, play as you like and never force yourself to play or complete a game. The mood will come to you on its own, even if it takes years
im am lucky enough to have a pc and playstation but the thing is i dont know whether to mainly use my computer or playstation as I like the advantages of pc (higher fps on alot of the games i play on playstation, batman arkham games, grand theft auto, and espically red dead redemption 2) but also just achievement hunting on pc isnt as fun as getting a platinum on playstation. IDKKKKKKKKKKKKK. also to add i have been playing TLOU1 and 2. also playstation plus just seems a better deal with the game catalouge. sorry for yapping
My honest opinion? Do both! I do both myself and I went through that particular debate you’re going through. The best thing is not forcing yourself to do anything, naturalize the process and dont feel pressured to do anything, always go by your intuition

Well, boosting groups are a thing, but I understand you, I hate farming for multiplayer achievements!

Achievement hunting is the best hobby, nothing feels better than a completion B)
How the hell do you only have 1k, was fully expecting 100k+
You’re doing great stuff man, keep up this level of quality and you’ll go far

Convinced me to finally start! Gonna become a hunter tomorrow! After years of grinding competitive games, it’s time I compete against the games!
I use exophase a lot bc of the fact that I achievement hunt in multiple platforms and it tracks multiple platforms.
Underrated channel ❤ (Merry christmas)
I didn't know about Steam Hunters thank you 🙂
Lol true, I started my journey a few days ago on a game nobody's heard of
