From someone form outside, this looks fairly difficult to understand. I don't blame you not understanding what you're doing only after 50 hours. I had no idea the game has a story. Very interesting. Glad you made this video. I wanted to know about this game.

This game is so fun🎉

My recommendation for your first actual CRPG would be "Shadowrun: Dragonfall". Uses a pretty simple system to understand even for a novice and is turn-based, and has a really nice story and companions to keep you hooked from start to finish. Do not play things like Baldur's Gates, Pillars, Tyranny, Divinity, Underrail, Dragon Age, Solasta or anything of the sort. Too beefy for your first taste of the genre, and all of them besides Tyranny are also quite long.

I recently decided that I won't be getting the platinum in Space Marine 2 due to slow loading & current issues joining friends I've had. If it gets fixed then maybe I'll reconsider, but a 30 second load for levels on PS5 just seems too much in my books & brings down an otherwise fantastic game. Astro Bot however I had the opposite reaction of deciding during my first play through that I'm going to platinum it. It's not a shock as I'd intended to from the start, but now I've committed myself. Though I've got games I want to play for making content like Resident Evil 2 on N64, so I'll have to put things aside to do that. My close buddy does however do trophy hunting, primarily becsus he had the free time & also because he self-admittedly had a bit of an addiction problem with them. He's never gotten bad, but will play through a game longer to get trophies long after he stops having fun with it. It doesn't help that at least for us in Canada trophies = PS Points which can be used as money, so he's extra compelled to recoup costs beyond his enjoyment. Meanwhile my biggest collection of games for this generation is & probably will stay on the Nintendo Switch which doesn't have any trophies/achievements & I hope Nintendo never adds them. Not that I'd complain if they did, but it just goes against their core designs for most games.

There isn’t really a point to buying Entire New Games and ONLY playing them for the Achievements, Instead of trying to enjoy them. Hell, i only get all Achievements if truely like a certain game and want to 100% it

great video been feeling this a lot this last month not even playing games unless I know ill complete them. Gonna take a break from trophies for a bit cuz like you said Id rather actually finish some games and clear my backlog than spend longer getting achievements nobody will care about except me.

I guess some game might run better on it, by having better graphic or better fps, but at that point is it worth it how bit is the difference between ps5 and ps5 pro performance. Everything work great on ps5 and even ps4 for a lot of game, nothing is exclusive and why would the company produce a game that exclusively work for the pro. So you are gonna pay a load more just for the boost in graphic and fps that might just be slightly better... pass

I love getting trophy, always had, but recently yes the backlog do take a whole lot more of my time especially really older one where you get no trophy, but also with the raising price of recent game, getting ps5 game as been a low priority over getting them on steam, especially since i got the steamdeck. I still have a huge backlog of vita, ps3 and ps4 game i could play and get trophy, but like you say between playing another 50 hour to complete the game and play another game entirely playing the other game seem like the no brainer.

This is a great video discussing a pretty nuanced angle when it comes to these subjects. I think in the end the healthiest approach is to enjoy trophy/achievement hunting in games youre already enjoying. That's actually somewhat hard to do 100% of the time, but its a good guiding principle for me. Something I've found that helps is to have different outlets for thise different styles of gaming. I have my YT channel which focuses mostly on trophies, i have a twitch stream where i play my retro backlog, and i have podcasts focusing on beating the backlog and on indie games. Time can definitely be a struggle between them, but it means i always have a place to discuss whichever of those is speaking to me the most at any given time. Again, great video and great discussion. Exactly what I've been thinking about lately! It's really hard to do both at the same time, so it's probably best to focus on either trophy/achievement hunting or 100% completing games. And ofc great video as always legend!

Couldn't have said it any better. Being a completionist and an backlog assassin are two contradictory elements. I love doing both just as you do, but I'm more committed to complete the games from my real backlog than just from a large library of games I might wanna play. I truly encourage that anybody who does play this way to find one thing at a time. Either complete games or crush your backlog. I spoke about this many many times in my videos.

u can get a gaming pc for like...400-500 if u go used even less. this is crazy.

Yeah.... That's gonna be about $1000 Canadian if I want a disc drive for it too (which I do cuz I love my physical games) so that'll be a hard pass. Unless there's something they didn't really showcase much of then maybe but my PS5 plays everything fine & if I really care about graphics in a game I just play it on PC.

Baldur's Gate 3 was the first Crpg I had played in over 20 years and I loved it so much I purchased the Divinity Original Sin 1 / 2 bundle. I am currently playing 2 and absolutely loving it. I don't even need the internet anymore lol it's just soooo good!. In my opinion Divinity 2 is harder because of the armour system, that takes some getting used to because you have to realise your health and putting points into constitution is essentially irrelevant, the game is about CC and movement. If you don't have many ways to crowed control the enemy and either move them around or your party members - you are dead. I assumed I would be great at Divinity because I finished BG3 on tactician but BG3 on Tactician is easier than DOS2 on Classic.....by a lot. That being said these games are nothing short of incredible and I recommend them to any human being with enough brain cells to own a gaming PC.

Come to PC gaming. More and more reasons to move to the platform that will rule them all. 😆I don't own a PS5, so for me, this is fine, but I don't think I'll get this generation of consoles. They really don't have that many games I want. Nintendo is going to be the last one that I'll consider. I'll just wait for PS games to come to PC. I'll support them there.

A meu ver acho que 800 euros não vale mais ainda para a geração atual que tem poucos jogos a sair mais ainda que nem tiraram proveito da consolas base quanto mais os modelos posteriores acho vergonhoso pedir o valor e ainda por cima vender a parte a stand e o leitor de disco

I was trying to Platinum Gta V since Gta 6 is launching next year but im not sure if its worth the amount of time tbh

I've been spending most summer beating a few games & getting my game room organized. It's not quite where I'd like it to be yet as other home repair & baby prep for my upcoming new born. I'm still wildly unprepared, but that's to be expected. Recently beat Space Marine 2 & started Astro Bot, which both games are really fun & a great 1-2 combo.

just got it on steam for 7 bucks, downloading now, can't wait. (already finished bg3)

I did a lot of cheats here getting all those real money dragons titans and behamut dragons hehe

That's good that you went out and spend some time out. I get to do that a lot despite now showing as much. I am doing a lot of grind on massive games, so that's been keeping me busy. Tackling a lot of genres which I need to cover on future videos where I review them. Keep up the good work!

I played this game years ago in Blind Honour Mode. Excellent adrenaline laden challenge and a way to force you to explore all aspects and mechanics of such a well made game. There are so many avenues and ways to play this game (not talking about exploits like barrelmancy or that dumb trick of splitting your group and rig up the battlefield), that you get to appreciate how much thought they put into customizable character builds and ways to incorporate crafting and gearing and all that into your gameplay to squeeze every ounce of advantage.

Trophy System is the best and most rewarding imo

I 100% it on my OLED Steam Deck a few months ago too. What a device that is!

I've mastered tactician mode in bg3 but i feel like i might struggle at this game idk why 😭 been wanting to try it after my 7th bg3 play through

I used to be a big trophy hunter until I realized it was ruining my gaming experience. I was choosing not to buy games if it had annoying trophies (online, multiple playthroughs, grindy). I used guides to optimize my playtime. I would even play over an entire weekend so my psnprofile said I got the platinum trophy in under 2 days rather than a few weeks/months. In the end nobody has ever asked me how many platinum trophies I have (250 over 10 years btw).

S-E really need to start putting out better demos or none at all. 4 out of 5 demos have made me go from "might buy" to "won't buy".

Yooka Laylee and its sequel is the modern Banjo-Kazooie. Not to mention Squirrel with a gun that feels like Conquer’s Bad Fur Day/Mario 64 with Goat Simulator physics in Toy Story 2 sandbox levels

Awesome to hear an update, August has been less eventful than I'd have hoped for myself. Mostly focusing on getting my game room in order & finally playing some WWE 2k24, which while fun hasn't been what I was hoping it would be for its create a character campaign. It's showcase mode on the other hand I've thoroughly enjoyed as it's like a playable documentary for Wrestlemania matches from the past. The plan is to use the first week of September while off work to finally finish up the game room & clean up, then start recording videos again with new branding. I've even got solid series ideas that I'll be making even if just for myself. Focusing on quality vs quantity, as I've got a great image in my mind, so time to make it happen.

Hey, i saw you post on reddit, its a really good video, good enough that i went and replayed lego sw2 the original trilogy ! Btw i agree that veichle mission are not really fun but when i was young i loved them, me and my friend were like x-wing goes brrr and its was fun! I think the main quality (and the only one) of veichle mission is the atmosphere!

better than new released title graphics are next gen of this game for me
