Aside from the beautiful emotion we get from Angelina here, we also see again how a very young AJ feels so comfortable going her own way on a very well-known song. The musicality she’s had since she was a child guides her-and we hear the lyrics in a different way. Beautifully done. Her musical and vocal patience at 12 years old is unique. Another classic song that I liked before, but now I want to hear it the way Angelina delivers it.
When this first came out, I listened to another reactor who said he was a huge Chris Isaak fan and didn't know how a 12-year-old girl could even attempt to cover this song. Then he listened to it and proclaimed it an absolute Masterpiece while standing and bowing down to her. All I can say is I agree with him. Peace and love.

Angelina recorded this impromptu performance at 12 yo, long before Diana Ankudinova did her version. Grandma Mery originally filmed this, but the video was a slide show of AJ baby pictures that was very distracting to the music because the photos were so cute. Finally a fan, Sune Amtoft, made this video that complimented the music rather than distracting from it. It's one of her many Masterpieces where she just sat at her keyboard & started playing & singing on the fly. It's astonishing how she does this.
I really could see Angelina having numerous number one hits in five different genres at the same time. Would not be surprised if her team plans this already. 😊❤❤❤
I have always thought this version done by Sune was so well done...the contrast of the visuals with the obsessive thrust of the lyrics...and he helped the sound quality as well, as the Mosarz sounded thin to me. After many listens, still Angelina wows every time..

Just to clarify, the wailing and gnashing of teeth echoing around the globe when anyone compares Angelina to another artist (not that I'm saying you're doing that here !) is not a sign of anything negative about any other artist but a sign of the strength of feeling for Angelina.😊 This is a fantastic display of (some of) Angelinas talent!

Why doesn't Angelina ever mention her father?! Or maybe she took her voice from his genes and thanks to that she's making a career today?! On the other hand, her mother poses as some teenager and also doesn't mention anything about her husband, i.e. Angelina's father. To me it's strange... They say that Angelina has a good heart, but somehow she doesn't say anything about her father! It's sad... It's also sad to me that Angelina no longer mentions that girl she once met and now performs barefoot. Has Angelina tried to find that girl? Why doesn't anyone ask her these questions about her father and that girl from Asia!?
She wrote and performed an entire song for that young girl. Princess Of Ruin sang in February 2024 in Las Vegas. Some family matters are just that and don’t need to be broadcast. At her Sept 20th concert again this year she had written and then performed a new song called Thank You for her Dad

You are right. Diana did the song in 2019.
I don't think Aaron meant the "cover thing" - he just said that the style/tone reminded him of Diana, not who sang it first.

Both versions were done the same year. Angelina was 12, Diana was 15. Angelina’s performance was recorded first.
