I'm fairly new to Kpop. Why do I feel that Mamamoo is underrated? Their live singing and rapping is incomparable to the "more popular" girl groups. I wish they get the recognition they deserve.

They're literally a vocal powerhouse and they're so underrated compared to other kpop groups, and that's why I haven't found out about them until 2016 which was 2 years since their debut. I've been into kpop since 2008 and I Stan so many girl groups and boy groups but Mamamoo easily became my ultimate biased GG simply because they're so freakin talented. I hope they get the recognition they truly deserve as well😭

Also ever since they have debuted, they have won about 10 awards and have won about 16 awards on the music shows. They are also nominated numerous times. Of course I want to see them get even more popular but looking at them right now, I wouldn’t say they are underrated. Also for their concert, their tickets sold out in seconds.

I think it's because the song was too high? I think I watched them explain about that from a radio guesting (hope something, I think). They didn't even sing the song live at that guesting but they sang their others songs live.

To see YongSun like this really made me cry.... It is so paintful because you can see that she's also in pain and desapointed not to perform... On the red carpet she even had trouble to walk up the stairs Now that the award is warm at home I want her (and I think I'm not the only one) to take some rest and to heal The 4 of them were beautiful as always I'm so proud of what they have done and they truly deserve this award Fighting MOOMOOs!
It must feel weird for her performing in a chair as this group is so much about interacting with each other on stage during performances. It's a bit like she is by herself on the chair and it looks like she may have some back pain too that she is soldiering through. I was kind of surprised she performed at all with her back injury and didn't just stay home and rest. May be part of why they gave her a hug as they know she's hurting some still and could have skipped this, but came out anyway.

It sounds like one of those freak injuries where you are moving around dancing and pull a muscle badly as I have not read anything about a bad fall. It sounds like she will be fine, but sometimes those muscle strains especially when its your back can take some time to heal and get back to normal strength and function. Such injuries can be quite painful for a while when moving around doing much more than walking. I suspect the chair was partly to encourage her to not move around. Without it, it would be easier to momentarily forget, get into the performance a bit too much and start moving around, and maybe re-injure yourself. She's expected to make a full recovery with rest and physical therapy within a few months.
to be honest blackpink was my fav korean girl's group or should i say only korean singer i watch ...they were my fav but ....it all chance because of mamamoo ... my first song was piano man .......am not much of a girl who watch korean drama or song but ....I LOVE MAMAMOO (moonbyul as my bias).. i dont hate/like blackpink or others....its just i lost my interest....they dont last long but mamamoo is the best
OMG I just wrote something similar. Yass that was me too. I love BlackPink until I watched and LISTENED properly to Mamamoo. It's been a month since I discovered them and everytime I think that their not Kpop, they are ARTISTS. I just can't believe their not as big by now. I'm shocked they've been doing this for over 5yrs. And now when I watch BlackPink or any other girl group, I just skip lol Their not on Mamamoo level
Yep, certainly seems like there are problems with it not being optimized, but that isn't uncommon for these sorts of shows where so many artists perform. Sometimes the sound board and mics are optimized for groups that lean heavier on a vocal track than Mamamoo does and it probably creates problems for a group that is actually trying to sing into their mics.
Mamamoo slayed this performance as usual. I'm sad seeing yongsun in that kind of state. Wheein's mic also wasn't working properly ;-;. Regardless of that, they still slayed. I love them ❤
