Happy Birthday Grandma. I wanted to know if you made the ponds. The grass looks lust and green. Baby River is growing fast. He is adorable so also Rye Rye. They bring back memories when I was a child. I loved running through the tall grass until I learned spiders made their webs in it. We called them lightening spiders because of the lightning bolt design in their webs. They are bright black and yellow and big but harmless. I love the peacefulness of the farm. 😊❤❤❤
If you're talking about thistles, I had one come up in my yard. I caught it while it was low to the ground and poured straight vinegar on it. It turned black and never came back. Maybe just cut it and pour vinegar on the stub. Don't dilute the vinegar.
When i had stickers i kept the area mowed and bagged those area's. If you keep it mowed really low and don't let it bloom it will usually kill out the plant.
i didnt have problem with stickers. but i saw on walker farm fam that he cut off the blooms into a bag and then put poisen on the plant itself. then he burns the blooms. he says he really has gotten control and this plant he was tending yesterday probably flew in. love you guys and the kids.

I'm lazy and use Spectracide Weed Stop that attaches to a water hose. I do it in the spring before it gets too hot outside. And I sprinkle rock salt on thistles, and under the fence lines, but that will kill everything growing around it too so you have to be careful.
Do you have a target number of goats you hope to maintain on a year to year basis or do you just want to keep growing? I know most who raise goats keep the number of males low and pass on any females who aren’t reproducing regularly or are not good mothers. Just curious how any of you reach a point where you are where you want to be on the goat herd size.
