There once was 11 of us that were friends from teen years Im the only one left 2 died from cancer 3 died in car wrecks The others die due to their lifestyles You just never know today or tomorrow has in store for us I alway say appreciate and enjoy the time we have. Im in Kenya. We are experiencing a cyclone, high winds, extreme rains, flooding and because we are on the coast, a small boat advisory and huge waves. This is unusual for this area.. I actually like the cooler temps. But the areas of Kenya that have flooding are really bad. Im from SE Missouri/Indiana so I am familiar with preparing for tornados or severe T storms. Thank goodness for basements and bicycle helmets.

Ithink he had a sinus infection, pollen counts are very high here today. He goes back to the doc on Friday. I'd join along with the diet and exercise. You have my condolence.🙏 Yes, I have heard of the rabbit cycle, but that, after a large decrease in the population it takes 7 years to peak and 7 years to degrease the population to the low numbers/sightings, then the cycle starts again. Not necessary that the population skyrocket in one single years. Good for you to keep on top of your health AND to do something about it. I need serious motivation. So, yes please motivate!!

Congratulations on your weight loss, Gayle!!! In the passed 6 months I've lost 35 lbs....20 more to go. I've done it mostly with portion control and far fewer carbs. My A1c has gone from 6.8 to 5.7...my doctor is thrilled as am I. I am somewhat limited in how I can exercise (I'm 78) because of arthritis in a lot of my joints...but I do what I can. I wish you much success with your new eating plan....I.don't like the word diet because it implies an end to the process. This will be a "rest of my life" nutrition plan for me. You go girl!!!!

Mike & Tanya I had a sinus infection for a week and they gave me a shot of steroids and ended up giving me antibiotics and gave me steroid pills and they gave me a puffer. I mean, I had the same thing.

Mike....my condolences on the loss of your friend Tim. I've been there on the diet changes and stuff. In 2014 I lost my mom and after her passing I moved out of her home (my childhood home), and bought a place. So between tending to her final affairs and sorting and moving nearly 60 years of stuff, I was super busy. Over the next year or so I lost over 100 pounds and got toned up. I've always been somewhat sickly since birth, so it was definitely challenging dealing with it all, but I got through it. Just a few years later my body said "okay I'm done with this" and within a 6 month period my spine blew, a knee blew, and my lungs blew. These things seriously slowed me down, but thankfully I've kept the weight off. My health is in the bucket at this point, as other things have come about, but I keep on keepin' on.
I've been on carnivore. Was doing good till I stressed out over my husband's health and binged on some carbs. Back on now. If you cut back on your carbs it will do wonders for you. Just don't cut protein or healthy fat (butter, lard, tallow, bacon grease). My LGD will not jump, that's fine by me! 😄 I had a young goat get trapped in the fork of a tree. Poor thing was hanging there for over 24 hours before I found her! Thankfully she could touch the ground with her front feet.
Good luck on the diet. It’s been my experience that diets don’t work. I’ve been on a lot of them. You lose weight in the beginning then you gain weight more that you lost it’s a yo-yo game. Not fun at all.
