Great job. Spiral pipe always look great. Could not tell if spiral or regular round pipe. But looks good. I always do returns in every room but kitchen, closet, bathroom. But I get it. Whatever in the budget. Hate when people say negative shit about a job on RUclips without knowing budget.
What is the point of those rough in mini-split boxes when the copper doesn’t line up right when you go to install the head? I’ve seen guys have to go and put those RLS couplings on there and just cut out the flare joints. Just curious. Can they be installed where you can just use the fare joints with some proper planning?
But nice clean work. In New Jersey we have to hard pipe or flex every return. We can’t draw bays or have any wood. Every job has to have load calcs. Duct test for leakage. We got to be painters on top of every other thing we Hvac guys do. Mastic all connections even flex to boot. Miss how we did 30 years ago. Lucky if we taped a joint
Do you angle your 3 way supply grilles toward in our out of home??? It looked like they were feeding inward I’ve always done the opposite is there a reason for that?
Boss . Mitsubishi AC . light bilking 14 time . not working Indoor fan. this it problem gas r32 .after giving . same problem. now gas ok . but not working . flash light continue . please reply?
Hey Taddy, I love your Videos. I also Have an HMH7 4 ton unit Installed with two Zones. I am curious to know why did you Wwre the thermostate for HMH7 Y and Y2? HMH7 is a modulating unit and it does not have a 2 stage it have several stages and the out side unit (HMH7) controlles the stages depending on the call? Can you please Explain. Also in your other videos you have not wired the thermosates for HMH7 the way you did it in this video.
Hey i'm looking into going into hvac school mainly to learn how to do this for construction purposes. Do they teach this type of infomation at school, or is this something you learn working with other people.
They definitely do not teach this in school I have a Bunch Of courses that you can have access to by becoming a level three member. Definitely check out my member's only courses
I have my electrician license so I can pull a electrical Permit I have my general mechanical contractor license so I can pull in mechanical permit. But I only have to use that one for commercial
I'm also installing YORK Y81EO80 & Y81E100 3&4Ton Each floor around 1275 square feet 8ft ceiling in NYC . Total length Each floor duct work is approx 55ft 4TON I started 24x8 3 Ton in the cellar I started 22x8 Pls let me know if I'm in the Wright part 🙏 🙂 Many thanks 😊
Is there a tool to evacuate 3 heads at the same time that you may recommend I appreciate it Taddy I will become a member for sure, for your quick response 👍
I see you mentioned 200 sq in per ton on return ... is that a minimum or is there a such thing as "Too Much return air"? Thank you for the great videos.
Props to you on making another great video. Great demo. Does your two ton mini split have a greater capacity than 24k? Because 9k plus 18k is 27k and usually id have my indoor units equal outdoor capacity or less...
Aaw I suspected something like that. Learned something new, exactly why I watch your channel. Now i wonder if that varies umoung different brands. Recently watched the shoptalk show and learned that you have dedicated training videos. I swear ima hit that join button sooner than later lol. I work in Northern California San Francisco/North of SF.
@@TaddyDigest I've never seen the units set like that, in a closet like that we box in the bottom section of the closet 32-34 inches high and set unit on top, using the bottom for return... and frame like you did for return grill.
Code here is to have the nail plate or metal extend 3 inches top and bottom of the top plate. Those guys aren't always accurate with their screws and nails, lol.

Thanks Tad I enjoyed it. Keep up the good work Cheers from 🇨🇦

This looks like a sick install
What size wire do you use for the air handler?
Great video!
I am starting in hvac in Arizona, I learned from your video return size vent should be 200 Sq inch per ton
That is awesome!
Glad I could help my friend
Looks good. I would shorten and throw some 90's on them exterior condensate lines. There are gonna get knocked at some point.👍
Nice work bro keep pushing 💪
Thank you, I will
Oh, and why the big trim plates for the MHK2 thermostats? Shouldn't need them on new construction.

In this install, you wired the thermostat differently than you did in your previous video for the MHM7 just wondering why?
What’s the best software to use to bid an hvac system from a blueprint?
That's a good question I have run across a couple of different softwares, but i'm not sure who I would recommend.Let me do some digging
I stopped doing new construction 13 yrs ago. Once you find out where your profits and time are worth more you’ll avoid builders too.
Exactly, more money in installing mini splits, service and replacing condensers/air handlers and furnaces
Hey taddy, will you be building a shelf in side the closet?
Love your videos. Why didn’t you use spiral duct in the open space, might of looked a little nicer.
Surge protection on the mini split?
$$$
Can you please make some videos about conversion to LP for different brands furnaces
yes

Interested. What would be the pipleine in order to do this? Would I need schooling for this? what type of certifications from the state?

Are you returning air from each room or just the return plenum ?
Just the main area
Hey Tan, do you vacuum each head on the multi zone !? Thanks in advance 🙏
The ports that you use to vacuum
They are connected To all the indoor heads.
So yes you vacuum them at the same time
Is there a tool to evacuate 3 heads at the same time that you may recommend I appreciate it Taddy
I will become a member for sure, for your quick response 👍
You do not have to have a special tool
I think I have a video on it
I will try to find it
Noisy return also ?
No sound So no noisy return
Thanks so much for the info!
Any time!
I see you mentioned 200 sq in per ton on return ... is that a minimum or is there a such thing as "Too Much return air"? Thank you for the great videos.
There is never such a thing as too much return
You can never have too much return
Give me more return please
@Taddy Digest thank you for the quick reply... yeah that's what I was thinking. I m thinking of adding returns to my rooms.
Props to you on making another great video. Great demo. Does your two ton mini split have a greater capacity than 24k? Because 9k plus 18k is 27k and usually id have my indoor units equal outdoor capacity or less...
Thanks brother
The two ton will do thirty percent more than its capacity
