Just one more real brilliant country song from the greatest country singer of all time there will never be another Hank Williams Sr God bless him went to yonge what a Los
Hank Williams never ceases to surprise me with the knack he had for portraying the lonesome lives of so many people on this earth. He only grows greater as time goes by ❤
Hank was not afraid to touch on touchy subjects...way back before it was normal to sing about this stuff...what a brave songwriter!! He forged his own path..he was not a Nashville company kiss-ass..first Nashville did not accept him..but he was so great, Nashville finally followed him and came around to doing things his way.. and he never sold out to do it their commercial bs way!! True great, true pioneer!!
Glenn Johnson. WOW!Another track that i have never heard by Hank.Just unbelievable. How long did this sit in the vaults. Thanks for another unheard gem from the master.
I stopped seeking out the rarities of his. Realizing that they're finite. Now I let them come to me. Wrought with messages straight from ole Hank hissef. I hang on every single note like it's gospel. Hell, it IS gospel.
Hank said so many things that I'm sure many would never have the courage to say!! He pretty much told it like it is in his songs! He was a regular guy just like any other with problems of his own and he wasn't afraid to be who he was n I believe he loved the Lord very much and was striving to be the best person he could be considering all the things he went thru but he was taken from us way too soon! I just know one-day we'll hear that beautiful voice again up yonder singing in the angel band if we're lucky enough to get there!! God bless you Hank Williams Sr. May you rest in heaven!! You were one of the best there every was or ever will be in country music n I thank you for sharing your beautiful music with us regular folk!! N we love you for it!!!
Hank has a lot of songs that you would never expect for the standard country genre.. that is one reason he was, and is the best, ever.. he mixed various styles and influences into his music..and was truly a songwriting genius.. he may not have been school educated..but he definitely knew music..and the hard side of life.. just like me.. I cover a lot of his songs.. not always the most popular well known ones.. I prefer the more intense ones!!
The best C&W singer I've ever heard. My favorites are "I saw the Light" and "Jambalaya" ... I'm 25% Cajun...Born in Touro Infirmary, New Orleans, Louisiana August 1, 1940. Last time I was there was about 8 years ago. First place I lived was 634 1/2 Carondelet St. Dad worked at the JOY theater. First as an usher, later as the General Manager. The owner was Mr Joy Houck...I met him several times. I'm proud of my NOLA roots. George E. Scearce
this is not great stuff or even good stuff, but it does one thing that is good "it makes Hank fallible",he sang at least one dud, the only one I have heard.

Same tune as Beverly hillbilly's only y slower. They probably got that from Hank. Hank could do it all Singing, Narrating everything.
