Thank you so much for sharing our music! Just read through all these comments and it really makes my day to see how much you enjoy our sound! By the way: the artist who made the cover is Ingo Hermes, cologne artist and illustrator ;-) ❤️❤️❤️
This album made my day! I'm so thankfull that youtube recommended this piece of art to me. Awesome sound and marvelous album cover. I'm not able to describe how many chills I had while listening! Legendary

This is superb! I HAVE ONLY ONE QUESTION: I swear that it sounds to me as though there is a very fine bassline played on a bass guitar likely by an outstanding bassist/musician throughout this recording, however, I do not see a name listed in the musicians credited. I would love to know this musician's name so that I might be able to find out more about them, whoever it is. Thanks for posting this lovely music!
So happy with the last song. Curupira it's a brazilian folklore creature that protects the forests. It's always on fire, has backwards feet and kills people that tries to harm the jungle
I heard of a similar creature when I was a kid and travelled to northern Peru. It is known as the Chununa, lives in the forest and also has backwards feet. Local kids were terrified of it :-)
@@jay-zo3gn Really interesting. There's an overlap between the folklore from Latin America cultures. One example is the chupa-cabra. I've heard multiple tales of it from different countries
There's also a figure in the Peruvian Amazon called Chullachaqui, trickster and protector of the forest, with one goat leg. Natives told me to be careful what tree I pee on, because some are sacred to Chullachaqui. If he's near you'll hear him knocking on the giant roots of the Lupuna tree.
Insta-clicked, got right into the groove, until I got to this discrimination whining. Threw up in my mouth a little, found out I was being guilt-tripped by a bunch of helper whiteys, then threw up some more. Why can't they just make some fucking music, instead of hitting people over the head with their "message" of white guilt. There's so much good music left to discover so... on to the next item in my playlist.

Fantastic groove. Awesome bass. You guys just melted away all my little, albeit persistent, anguishes about life. Life is beautiful! Although I'm aware that millions and millions of people cannot say that deliberately as they've fallen victims to social, political, religious, and economic oppression. I hope that life and nature prevail in this horrible yet beautiful world of ours.
Waiting for an early morning flight on a rainy night in New York. This has been my soundtrack and I’m pretty sure it’s what’s keeping me going at the moment. Perfect
I can't count how many times I have come back to this album. Just went to bandcamp to give the band a tiny percentage of the financial appreciation they deserve - and to hopefully encourage another recording. Just love the entire vibe so much. And a shout out to Art of Listening for your marvelous curation!
That first one has some elements that really remind me of Marc Ribot playing a Lounge Lizards tune off Voice of Chunk. Not really any other albums that sound like that album so this is a very good thing.
Fuck yeah 10 seconds in and I already got chills, thank you for this gift and to all people who express themselves in love. This is the universal heartbeat X
Is it just me or is there a lot of Tigran Hamasyan in this? Now probably it's more like similar influences etc. But like some of the melodies sounded eerily familiar and then it dawned on me. Nevertheless great album will listen again :)

What do you call this genre of music? Is it a genre like jazz? It's very unfamiliar. I haven't heard this kind of music a lot. I learned it through RUclips algorithm. I happened to be in a very gloomy state. The song is so fun and exciting that my eyes are wide open.
Curupira is a Brazilian supernatural being who protects forests against illegal farmers and such. By having his feet backwards, Curupira's steps confuse the white men, who eventually get lost in the jungle. Then, it's time for the 'onças pintadas' and 'jacarés' do their jobs
African 70s funk music will never die. It keeps emerging from every point of the globe. Praise to the African elders, like Fela, Sir Victor and many others across the continent and the diaspora like Baba James. Also, praises to MKPE for walking in the footsteps of the elders. More strength!
Hi, I have noticed a fair amount of audio quality degradation between the originals and the videos you've been posting lately. Its sounds like a low bitrate conversion.
It's possible! What do you means for "originals"? I don't understand the reason why you prefer listen this rather than "the mysterious" originals. Have you the vinyl? However, the purpose of channel is to make known some music, not to offer the best quality sound in the web. Sorry. Bye. Thank to follow, in any case.
There's always going to be audio degradation on youtube, however what is 'a fair amount' to the audiophile may be unnoticeable to most people, who are understandably grateful for the opportunity to enjoy new music. The important point of channels like this is to allow people to sample a wide variety of music, conveniently, before purchasing 'the originals', if you so wish, and can afford to.
