wait, 19:43 you said 5 years, their warranty on the site shows River 2 : 5 years...... River 3 : 2 years. how do you come up with River 3 being 5 years?

@@TechMadeEzy Honestly, it is rediculous for EcoFlow lower this to 2 years. It simply doesn't make sense. Of corse you would think it would be the same as the River 2. It is really unfair to be honest to place this power station in the same category of other name brands of that price. Anker 3-5 years , Bluetti 5 - 6 years, Pecron 5-6 years..
It should be $125. River 2 is $167 with 5 year.
      See what I'm saying? :)

The river 3 warranty is 2 years, not 5 years. All of these reviews keep assuming the warranty is still 5 years, but if you look at EcoFlow website under warranty policy, it says 2 years. Although the river 3 has nice upgrades, the one way usb-c and the downgraded warranty make the river 2 seem like a better buy. I do like how the river 3 is smaller though.

      Big issue with EcoFlow
They use to state it under specs and or in the manual, now you have to search for FAQ to find it. Yes you are correct, my mistake but EcoFlow doesn’t do a good job communicating specifics and they aren’t consistent.

I recently purchased the River 3 last night. I will primarily use it for a UPS of my IceCo cooler while grocery shopping. I like the Ip54 rating as during bad weather I won’t have to worry about this thing getting wet. Currently I am using a Bluetti EB3A, but it’s a bit clunky, I’m not a fan of the handle, and I’d rather use it indoors for other things in the house during a power outage. The EB3A is way more capable than the River 3, but the River 3 seems more durable and ergonomic, to do what I need it to do.

@@hcho8164 they use the 3 pin to indicate that that charger can draw a higher current.
On larger units the current limiter is by default set low in order not to melt cigarette lighter outlets in cars and RVs.

1:45: The third pin in the XT60i is used to increase the current limiter.
If the 3 pin is not connected it will reduce the current draw to a level that is safe for cigarette lighter outlets. Without this it would melt the cigarette lighter outlet in your car.
There is no point of using a XT60i connector on a "car charging cable" when the 3 pin is not connected.
So they were NOT giving you a better cable, they were throwing money out the window...

I have never had my Tesla 12v die but I used something like this on my Nissan leaf and it worked. I did try a standard jump starter on my Nissan leaf and it would not work. The computer would start booting up then at 15 seconds the jumpstart would cut out and the computer would try again. Which is annoying because that is not how my Prius worked.
In the Prius I could give it 5 seconds of 12v through the cigarette lighter. That would enable the 12v inverter first so the 12v is then coming from the huge battery pack. Then the computer would start up, working every time.
