- CRJ900 enhanced ground proximity warning system (egpws) test. Its the same system on a 200 or 700. The radar will go into test mode which can be seen on the electric flight insturment system (EFIS) multifunction display (MFD) and following warnings will be heard "glide slope, pull up, wind shear, terrain, sink rate, dont sink, to low terrain, to low gear, to low flaps, bank angle, minimums, 100, 50, 20, 10, caution terrain, caution obstacle"
Feel free to check out and like my FB page for all kinds of aviation pictures and videos from all over the world.

This is what I hear in my head before I get really tired and fall into my bed.
Great video . . . turn on the Transcribe Audio: "Wheelchair" "Which year" "Visual parade" "Hospital" "Popsicles"
Haha thank you. I was wondering if it might be something that simple.
Can someone clarify when the system would give an obstacle alert as opposed to a terrain alert?
Terrain is natural like the ground or a mountain where obstacle is man made like a building or tower.
@@MTAviationPhotoFilm So it uses separate databases of natural and man made hazards and alerts accordingly?
No its all the same database
Hey! Aircraft warning and annunciating systems...make up your mind please :-)
why is there a mirror below the glareshield panel?
It's not a mirror, it's the HGS sun visor

Well, still no conclusion on investigation by NTSB, but landing it seems that crew on Asiana 214 at SFO was very tired not to hear all these alerts... unless the system was inop.
Yeah it kind of creeps me out how it says it
Yeah this creeps me out too.
This creeps me out too. I like he says pull up though
Hey mtrain, I fly the 900 and 700 for your arch rival in DTW... Haha anyway we get the glideslope when we are too low on well the glideslope.. Lol
'Pull up don't think' did I understood 😂
Don't sink ...

If you don’t get it, it’s basically “minimums” but was cut off a bit.
always thought it is too low not to low and bad angle, not bank angle
I cant exactky tell when the tires leave the ground... what the hell o.o
ExpressJet CRJ.
No
Then it must be an ex-Mesaba 900 now turned Endeavor Air.
What does glide slope mean? Sorry, not a pilot :(
It means you're approaching the runway and you're sinking too fast and not on the correct glide slope.
Is it same as B737 800
Not sure. I would think it would be similar at least
The callouts are by Honeywell, that’s why it is the same. Both planes have the Honeywell EGPWS callouts.
What?
There is no reason you would ever hear all these alerts besides the test
Double tap that button to get rid of the the test
John Halsted doesn’t work tried it at my dads work
Hearing this in the CVR's of crashed planes makes this creepy to me.
Specifically, "sink rate, whoop whoop, pull up," because of Japan Airlines Flight 123.
Air Crash Investigation...
Huh???
I came here because of ACI.
***** Oh. Ok, Carry on
There from Airbus and bombardier is an Airbus company
Ummm what?
@@MTAviationPhotoFilm yes is a True Bombardier is in Airbus Group
I have worked on a CRJs for the last 8.5 years and now work on Airbus. I can assure you that Bombardier is not an airbus company. The only reason the callouts sound the same is that they use pretty much the same EGPWS computer which is made by neither Bombardier nor Airbus.
flybe001 are you a special kind of stupid? Bombardier is NOT an Airbus company. Do your research before mindlessly throwing comments saying Bombardier is an Airbus company. Bombardier is CANADIAN. Airbus is FRENCH. TWO DIFFERENT COUNTRIES.
@@CaptainTransit Airbus is a co-owner of Bombardier, they have bought a controlling interest in the company...
Haha, you got it bud! You know how airplane manufactures feel about pilots, lets make things easy for those dummies.. Lol so how are things over at pinch a nickel? Hehe
Never.
