I'm handling stress a lot better, and my blood sugars are finally stable throughout the day, which is helping me not crash after stress and an intense workout. I weighed 137kg in 2015. Started my Transformation journey from October 2019. And lost 65 kg by March 2018. I was extremely happy but that loose skin spoiled my hard work. Anyway the problem started when I tried to deadlift 150lbs almost, I hardly managed 3 reps( which was shocking because when I was at 136, 120kg with 12 reps was my routine.
    I lost my strength but I ignored Desi advice of consuming ghee( purified butter).
    From August 2019 I started to bulk and added 1 slice cheese, and one spoon purified butter Into my meal and almost 15eggs daily( 7 whole) . It's October now and I gained almost 7kg, belly looks big but my muscles are now getting big and m really very happy with this cuz now 140-160kg deadlift till failure (8-9 reps) are just love.
    The best part is, this Ghee is making me strong and reducing my cholesterol level. This is magical.

      go to this website www.westonaprice.org/health-topics/
      ask them about patures in your area that sell items like grass fed butter (that's how i get mine) they will diect you to the right place. unless you live out of america which im not sure completely if they can help you then.
      when it comes to getting nauseous and what not that use to happen to me when i first switched over from carbohydrates to fats until over time when my body developed the necessary enzymes to digest the fat more. It could also be "die off" but either way coconut oil can definitely be a replacement for the butter, the butter is better thoguh

    I really enjoy your videos, however I'm not sure if you are aware, Kerrygold butter is not 100% grass feed butter, cattle farmers in Ireland feed their cows grains during the winter months, the majority of these grains are grown in Ireland but some of the cattle feed is imported and there is no restrictions on GMO grains in Ireland when it is for animal consumption, I live in Ireland and I buy organic butter from France even though Kerrygold is easily available in every shop

      Forcing US ranchers and farmers to switch over to strictly grass-fed would take its toll on many who cant afford the premium for grass-fed dairy products. This is the price we pay for an industrialized society with fully-stocked grocery stores. The key is that consumers have choices.

    Dr. Berg, what is your take on Ghee butter from grass-fed cows? Does it have less nutrition than regular grass-fed butter? Would you consider it to be better, the same, or worse than regular grass-fed butter? Pros and Cons would be appreciated. Perhaps a video on it?

    Hello and delight to see our Kerrygold butter been admired round the World, as a child I hand milked our own cows and my mother hand made our own butter and the only tined or packet food I remember in our house was , beans, peaches, sugar, tealeaves, coco powder, and salt. everything else came from our farm, we were all so healthy, but when I was eleven years old we moved to the city and had to buy everything in a supermarket that was back in the mid sixty's we all ballooned up to monster sizes except one of my sisters I always wondered why just one out of nine people that ate the same food didn't gain any weight?

    dr. Berg, I really enjoy your videos especially because they're so educational. And I also like them because they are providing a great foundation for health. It's too bad the American public has been buying poor quality for so long. I had a theory I think it was after college that the reason for all of this is the food industry. There is a business model that took off after World War II, and that was the commodity business model. the commodity business model says produce as much as you can as cheap as you can and sell as much as you can. quality does not factor into that equation. actually that goes back to the early 19th century when we were not able to get our whiskey from England because of the Embargo. we had to start producing Whiskey in the United States and what happened was that they took the leftover Hops and Grains and fed them to the cattle. I think that's when the big food industry began. I think in those days you were better off drinking the whiskey in many cases. But I'm just saying that tongue-in-cheek of course. of course they didn't have the knowledge of health in those days so I don't think they knew what they were doing was as bad as they know today. what I think is helping the health industry out and just food in general and people is there are many educators who are helping people understand the real story of food.

    Mikki says
    July 27, 2013 at 8:27 am
    I just spent two weeks in Ireland and before and after I went contacted the Dublin WAPF chapter, which was just getting established. I wrote back and forth to the woman doing their Facebook page. She laughs at us all thinking Kerrygold is this super pure, grassfed butter. She actually orders her organic (which Kerrygold is not) butter from France! I couldn’t believe an Irish woman was getting her grassfed butter from another country! I was shocked when she sent me info, sites, videos, etc. about Ireland’s “grassfed” animals. She claims the pasture is usually not organic, not natural at all, but planted pasture with non organic rye seed and heavily sprayed with pesticides so it will grow because it is so damp there, the grass tends to rot. I guess think pete bogs? She also told me that they had such a wet Spring, the grasses rotted so, that the farmers had to have hay shipped in from…..the USA and other countries! Anyway, I was disappointed to learn this. It is a lovely sight to see cattle and sheep on pasture, but then to learn it’s planted and sprayed kind of a downer, right? Also, I learned that the distilleries and breweries actually get rid of their used grains from making beer and whiskey by selling or giving it to the farmers to feed….that’s right….their cattle! The guide doing our tour was very proud of that!! Anyway, Irish butter…..not all it’s cracked up to be! Sorry!

      @TheDrexill 7 лет назад

      Well, you're half right, I guess. I'm not sure where the Keto diet fell into place, with all the science to back it... but other than that, yes, it's unlikely that you could mass market such "clean" product the way that Kerry Gold does.

    • @TheDrexill
      @TheDrexill 7 лет назад

      I'm sorry, I think you're confused. Firstly, it's irrelevant what ancient civilizations or societies did- what matters is today, right? We have a bit more access than they did.
      Second, the Ketogenic diet isn't 80% fats, and 50g of carbs per day is quite a lot of green leafy vegetables. You're pretty off base in your assumptions, so I'd recommend some basic reading first.

    • @TheDrexill
      @TheDrexill 7 лет назад

      Right-o. So read up :)

    • @TheDrexill
      @TheDrexill 7 лет назад

      Lol, again... you should read up. What you quoted, frankly, is silly. You're confused (as is the paragraph cited). If you're going to link a paragraph from 2002, then yes... I think you need to read more. If you want me to teach you, I can... but you don't seem very receptive to new information.

    • @TheDrexill
      @TheDrexill 7 лет назад

      The Ketogenic diet isn't a "high fat diet"... it *is* a low carb diet. The macros are Protein to goal (0.8-1g/1lb lbm), Carbs under 40g (give or take, some people can go to 50, some to 30) per day, and fat to satiety. Are there people out there that chug butter and call it a keto diet? Sure, but that doesn't make it so.
      Firstly, 40g of carbs leaves alooot of room for vegetables. Tons. Way more than the average American diet would consist of. It's not much bread, or cake though. Second, protein is usually between 90-120g for the average person... that's 3 eggs, 2 chicken thighs, a salmon plank, and a protein shake for the average male daily. Most people are going to feel pretty full after eating that much, plus the veggies... so "fat to satiety" means you pick those fattier cuts, like thighs, salmon, or 85/15 ground beef.
      If you can tell me how an extremely healthy diet of meat and veggies can lead to the things you describe, by all means... go ahead. A few are easy to diagnose though, if you'd like?
      "been shown to cause cramps, lethargy, bad breath, constipation[15,16], and menstrual irregularities [17,18]."
      Cramps are from a lack of electrolytes like potassium and sodium. If people are getting those, they need to up their sodium intake. It can be rough not eating french fries and pizza for your sodium, I know.
      Lethargy is cause by a million things... Lack of sleep, being the most likely culprit in America. Low testosterone (caused by a bad diet messing up hormones) can do it, as can too much of a calorie deficit- assuming you're shooting for weight loss.
      Bad Breath... Uh? Brush your teeth.
      Constipation is also cause by a few things... Lack of magnesium- up your vegetable intake. Lack of fiber- up your vegetable intake. Dehydration- up your water consumption. And remember, not having the squirts and being constipated are two different things, if you're switching from a McDonald's diet.
      Menstrual irregularities- This is patently false. The Ketogenic diet is recommended to treat PCOS.
      This paragraph sounds pretty off base in general... it cites a restriction of carbohydrates... but again, 40g of vegetable carbohydrate is significantly more than the average American eats in a day. The entire thing is not only biased, but borderline malicious... My guess? Paid for by the sugar lobby.

    Finding out grassfed butter was healthy was some of the best news I ever received. I love kerrygold butter. Yummy Irish butter with a high nutritional content. Grass-fed cows. I fry most of my veggies in Kerrygold. I like to mix butter and olive oil as well for flavor. Both are nutritional, satiating fats with their unique benefits. I fry green beans with butter, garlic, onion, chilli and rosemary (which is good with brocolli too).

They are repackaging for California to get rid of PFAS or PFOA's, whichever they used in Clifornia packaging. I wish they would make that change for the entire USA, and world too. Not just for states that ban Forever Chemicals outright. So, I am disappointed that Kerry Gold doesn't have our safety at heart, :(

    Dr Berg I have been watching many of your videos and I switched a couple years ago to Rolls of butter made by the Amish which I know is grass fed and honestly I just like it knowing less chemicals it’s literally a large roll of butter wrapped in cooking paper …… reason I’m telling you this is I believe butter is not bad for u and I of course hope I’m correct after watching this video which is from a number of years ago I’m hoping that’s still your findings I know sometimes we find out maybe we’re not correct as many many of the things we were told are harmful are actually good now as you have stated in many videos……. Let me know if I need to be concerned as I do eat butter on potatoes vegetables as well as sometimes on top of a nice hot steak …… thank u in advance for all your input I really enjoy your stuff and have started 2 years ago on the K2 with my D3 which I use to only take D3 and B12 on its own. I’m never sick but after watching your videos I changed it to the K2 with the others feel great and hope to continue feeling great
