I cried at the beautiful montage at the end of the programme. It was very moving. My daughter and I drove up overnight from Corwall to attend the Queen's funeral and stood with hundreds of others along Constitution Hill to catch a glimpse of the Queen's funeral procession going by. It was an honour to be there. The Queen will be greatly missed. RIP Your Majesty 🙏 XXX

We were taught never to speak of the event that happened immediately prior to Prince Charles acceded to the throne. Her Majesty’s Queen Elizabeth II passing. I found some comfort when Queen Camilla said she didn’t remember a time where HMTQ was not the Monarch. Knowing people older than me ( not that much, just a smidge) who also didn’t recall a world without HMTQ gives me comfort.
Titles for non working royals serve no purpose other than giving an enormous amount of blatant privilege to the person getting it and it comes with a packaged danger of it being misused for commercial gain and more access to power for that individual only. Which in turn puts the monarchy’s existence itself in danger. I would be shocked if Charles gave any titles to Californians. In addition, H&M titles should be removed completely, nobody should have a birth right to anything without the responsibility.

Hi ZILLA. The country is spelled Wales. But I loved your post. It reflects on their enthusiasm and love of the country. When they were married and during their first two years, they lived on a small island off the north coast of Wales, called Anglesey, where William was a search and rescue helicopter pilot and Catherine did a lot of shopping in the villages. Anglesey is a lovely quiet island, which I visited on holidays in my teens. Welsh is the spoken language, and often children learn English as a second language in primary school. This may have changed by now. But Catherine and William loved those first two years together before taking on royal duties. 🇬🇧🏴

In fairness, investitures are not common for the Prince of wales. Edward VIII and Charles III are the only ones in recent centuries to have an investiture ceremony as Prince of wales.
Edward VII also was Prince of Wales, but was given the title at birth. Latest news I can find is that William likely will not undergo the Investiture, Charles being keen to pare back the expenses associated with the Royal Family.

Edward always said he felt more German than English and his command of the German language was superior to that of his command of the English language. I'm in two minds about the investiture - I agree that financially we, as a country, don't need the expense: But at the same time I think that Prince William and Princess Katherine ARE Wales. They lived there before they were married. As far as any 'royal books' are concerned, I tend to look on them as tabloid hearsay. I've also never watched one episode of 'The Crown' for that reason. I'm a 100% flag waving Royalist... and can not understand how or why Harry has turned his back on his family. The Oprah interview was horrendous, especially as before his marriage, Harry said that his brother William had advised that he go and seek help for his mental health decline.

'The country' profits enormously each time there is a royal ceremony. 1.05 billion for the "spectacle" wedding of Hazard and Medusa. I doubt it would be that much for an investiture, especially as there's hardly any way the Sharkles could make a merchandising display of it, but there would be a considerable profit.

As children you can see how sensitive William was and how care free Harry was! William saw what Diana was going through even as a young child that was hard for a child to see! Harry being younger just didn't notice or didn't care.

I am 71 years old, and fell in love with Queen Elizabeth as a 10 year old girl in the 4th grade as a consequence of reading about Her in my school library. I have since read extensively about HMTQ, the House of Windsor, and more concerning the British Monarchy. I feel the Monarchy serves a very significant purpose, and feel perhaps I should have been born a Brit. LOL Anyway, I love the sense of history and the shared sense of expectations. So, yes I would very much like to see Prince William and Princess Catherine crowned. On another note, thank you so much for the images at the end, even though they made me cry. Love your channel! There’s one issue that I haven’t heard mentioned in regard to Harry’s “upcoming” book. His early announcements about the book included a statement that it would be released after the Queen had passed. That could have revealed only one thing; there was content that would be upsetting and possibly damaging to her but afterwards, he was willing to damage his family and the Monarchy with a vengeance! He then proceeded to cause both Royal grandparents untold anguish until their deaths. Why is he so desperate to alter the malicious content now? The Prince and Princess should absolutely have a n investiture. The Monarchy are pomp and circumstance. Yes times are tough but getting out or watching it on the telly are wonderful distractions and really unites everyone. Be proud to be British! This to will pass. The big grand gestures are what it's all about.
At the end of the day, King Charles, Queen Camilla, Prince William and Princess Katherine and the entire core RF, has the future of the Monarch well in hand. I believe that Prince William is correct to forego the investiture for Wales --- we've just celebrated a Jubilee, a funeral and we have King Charles' service upcoming in the spring. We do not want to fatigue a country, particularly through the current stressful economic landscape. It's not a matter of apologizing for the position -- it's about reading the room.
Lovely montage at the end. What really choked me up was seeing little Princess Charlotte break down in tears. That ripped my heart out. Seeing King Charles face also about to break out in tears got to me as well. He just lost his Father and had to relive his death by the private interment of both of his parents. He was old enough to remember his Grandfather and Great Grandmother’s funeral along with his mothers coronation. I’m sure he had a flood of memories and emotions come into his mind on top of becoming the Reigning Monarch. My prayers are still with the family because grief doesn’t disappear overnight.

Lets get this right. The Investiture and The Investiture Ceremony are 2 different things. The Investiture is the act by Letters Patent of bestowing the title "Prince of Wales" on the eldest son of the monarch. As regards the Investiture Ceremony there is no real tradition for it. It has only been held twice. Once for Prince Edward (later Duke of Windsor) and for Prince (now King Charles.). Coronets have been made for successive Princes of Wales since Charles 1sts time who decreed that the Prince of Wales Coronet should be worn on state occasions when regalia were to be worn. This first one vanished. Revived in 1728 for Prince Frederick (son of George II). A new one created 1901 for the future George V. Another created 1911 for the Investiture Ceremony for Edward in 1912. And the last for Prince Charles ceremony. Edwards coronet could not be used as he had unrightfully taken it with him when he abdicated and left the country on 1936 and refused to give it back for Charles investiture ceremony. (I read reports at the time that Charles was horrified that he might have to wear a copy of Edwards robes complete with knee britches garters and court pumps).
The previous coronets were made in the context of being Heir Apparent to the British Throne, not for being Prince of Wales. The coronet made for Prince Charles was necessary as the coronet made for King George V in the 1902 coronation was illegally taken to Paris by the Duke of Windsor. He refused to surrender it, and the coronet made for Frederick Prince of Wales was considered too fragile. When the coronation for King Charles III is held next year, you will see the current Prince of Wales wear the George V coronet, as that returned to the UK after the Duke of Windsor's death in 1972. The coronet made for the investiture in 1969 will not be used. That now resides permanently in Cardiff and is termed the 'Honour of Wales'.

I cried at the beautiful montage at the end of the programme. It was very moving. My daughter and I drove up overnight from Corwall to attend the Queen's funeral and stood with hundreds of others along Constitution Hill to catch a glimpse of the Queen's funeral procession going by. It was an honour to be there. The Queen will be greatly missed. RIP Your Majesty 🙏 XXX

We were taught never to speak of the event that happened immediately prior to Prince Charles acceded to the throne. Her Majesty’s Queen Elizabeth II passing. I found some comfort when Queen Camilla said she didn’t remember a time where HMTQ was not the Monarch. Knowing people older than me ( not that much, just a smidge) who also didn’t recall a world without HMTQ gives me comfort.
Titles for non working royals serve no purpose other than giving an enormous amount of blatant privilege to the person getting it and it comes with a packaged danger of it being misused for commercial gain and more access to power for that individual only. Which in turn puts the monarchy’s existence itself in danger.
I would be shocked if Charles gave any titles to Californians. In addition, H&M titles should be removed completely, nobody should have a birth right to anything without the responsibility.

Hi ZILLA. The country is spelled Wales. But I loved your post. It reflects on their enthusiasm and love of the country. When they were married and during their first two years, they lived on a small island off the north coast of Wales, called Anglesey, where William was a search and rescue helicopter pilot and Catherine did a lot of shopping in the villages. Anglesey is a lovely quiet island, which I visited on holidays in my teens. Welsh is the spoken language, and often children learn English as a second language in primary school. This may have changed by now. But Catherine and William loved those first two years together before taking on royal duties. 🇬🇧🏴

In fairness, investitures are not common for the Prince of wales. Edward VIII and Charles III are the only ones in recent centuries to have an investiture ceremony as Prince of wales.
Edward VII also was Prince of Wales, but was given the title at birth. Latest news I can find is that William likely will not undergo the Investiture, Charles being keen to pare back the expenses associated with the Royal Family.
They are the only two who have been formally invested. It is a modern invention, an invention which has been quietly dropped.
Times have changed! I honestly think Charles should abdicate like Edward VII did Due to the scrutiny, he received while with Wallace Simpson . Charles admitted he had affairs, while married to Diana. Edward always said he felt more German than English and his command of the German language was superior to that of his command of the English language. If Germany had won the war, Hitler had promised Edward VIII the position of king whilst ridding the UK of the present royal family. Charles has indicated that the duties will be shared between him and William. William doesn't want to put his children in the position that the Queen's children had to deal with when she became Queen at a young age and spent so little time with her children. You can see the results of her children's lack of contact with their mother from such a young age.

I'm in two minds about the investiture - I agree that financially we, as a country, don't need the expense: But at the same time I think that Prince William and Princess Katherine ARE Wales. They lived there before they were married. As far as any 'royal books' are concerned, I tend to look on them as tabloid hearsay. I've also never watched one episode of 'The Crown' for that reason. I'm a 100% flag waving Royalist... and can not understand how or why Harry has turned his back on his family. The Oprah interview was horrendous, especially as before his marriage, Harry said that his brother William had advised that he go and seek help for his mental health decline.

As children you can see how sensitive William was and how care free Harry was! William saw what Diana was going through even as a young child that was hard for a child to see! Harry being younger just didn't notice or didn't care.

I am 71 years old, and fell in love with Queen Elizabeth as a 10 year old girl in the 4th grade as a consequence of reading about Her in my school library. I have since read extensively about HMTQ, the House of Windsor, and more concerning the British Monarchy. His early announcements about the book included a statement that it would be released after the Queen had passed. That could have revealed only one thing; there was content that would be upsetting and possibly damaging to her but afterwards, he was willing to damage his family and the Monarchy with a vengeance! He then proceeded to cause both Royal grandparents untold anguish until their deaths. Why is he so desperate to alter the malicious content now? Or does he see his wife getting ready to dump him and is fearful that the book will set ablaze the last bridge over which he can crawl groveling back to the family he has lied to defame?

The Prince and Princess should absolutely have a n investiture. The Monarchy are pomp and circumstance. Yes times are tough but getting out or watching it on the telly are wonderful distractions and really unites everyone. Be proud to be British! This to will pass. The big grand gestures are what it's all about.

At the end of the day, King Charles, Queen Camilla, Prince William and Princess Katherine and the entire core RF, has the future of the Monarch well in hand. I believe that Prince William is correct to forego the investiture for Wales --- we've just celebrated a Jubilee, a funeral and we have King Charles' service upcoming in the spring. We do not want to fatigue a country, particularly through the current stressful economic landscape. It's not a matter of apologizing for the position -- it's about reading the room.

Lovely montage at the end. What really choked me up was seeing little Princess Charlotte break down in tears. That ripped my heart out. Seeing King Charles face also about to break out in tears got to me as well. He just lost his Father and had to relive his death by the private interment of both of his parents. He was old enough to remember his Grandfather and Great Grandmother’s funeral along with his mothers coronation. I’m sure he had a flood of memories and emotions come into his mind on top of becoming the Reigning Monarch. My prayers are still with the family because grief doesn’t disappear overnight.
Valentine Low’s book is not available in USA until June 2023 per Amazon Kindle. I am confused as so many English people are quoting it. Is it published already available in UK?

In "Celt View" channel she says that "genetic pain harry" is rushing to change/edit his book because he was told that if he goes through with it, there will be no inheritance from his late grandmother. One more time we can see "genetic pain harry's" hypocrisy shine because he isn't changing his gossip book because he is concerned or because he cares for the RF; BUT he is editing it because he wants that money.

From Tennesse, I’d love to see some recognition of the Prince of Wales’s new title. Prince William is a lovely man and is descended from famous Welshmen, he has attended university in Wales, and met his beautiful wife the Princess of Wales there. Lets get this right. The Investiture and The Investiture Ceremony are 2 different things.
The Investiture is the act by Letters Patent of bestowing the title "Prince of Wales" on the eldest son of the monarch. As regards the Investiture Ceremony there is no real tradition for it. It has only been held twice. Once for Prince Edward (later Duke of Windsor) and for Prince (now King Charles.).
Coronets have been made for successive Princes of Wales since Charles 1sts time who decreed that the Prince of Wales Coronet should be worn on state occasions when regalia were to be worn. This first one vanished. Revived in 1728 for Prince Frederick (son of George II).
A new one created 1901 for the future George V.
Another created 1911 for the Investiture Ceremony for Edward in 1912.
And the last for Prince Charles ceremony. Edwards coronet could not be used as he had unrightfully taken it with him when he abdicated and left the country on 1936 and refused to give it back for Charles investiture ceremony. (I read reports at the time that Charles was horrified that he might have to wear a copy of Edwards robes complete with knee britches garters and court pumps).
The previous coronets were made in the context of being Heir Apparent to the British Throne, not for being Prince of Wales. The coronet made for Prince Charles was necessary as the coronet made for King George V in the 1902 coronation was illegally taken to Paris by the Duke of Windsor. He refused to surrender it, and the coronet made for Frederick Prince of Wales was considered too fragile. When the coronation for King Charles III is held next year, you will see the current Prince of Wales wear the George V coronet, as that returned to the UK after the Duke of Windsor's death in 1972. The coronet made for the investiture in 1969 will not be used. That now resides permanently in Cardiff and is termed the 'Honour of Wales'.
William deserves a celebration

I admire Princess Anne very much,but don't admire her for telling someone off for helping her to her feet after a fall, I bet she later regretted her action. I feel it was a reflex action,when you fall you jump up saying I'm OK, with the blood dripping down your knees, when I was about 3 I. Used to add the stupid comment "I meant to do that."
