Sloppy run down the high string" moves onto another Kirk solo "oh look e minor pentatonic with a sloppy fast run down the high e but this time with wah" haha 😄 😅 if you're studying James you'll probably learn something but I wouldn't waste too much time studying Kirk's leads at all they're very basic and uninspired especially compared to how good and technical the riffs can be then you get hit with these extremely musically basic solos. Just thought I’d slap down where the song starts for those of you who wanna replay or skip the whole process. I advise watching the entire video though, because he did well to make the first 14 minutes not even feel that long. It’s also interesting hearing his thought process going into the song

Your riff @1:12 is pure Overkill. "Listen to more Overkill." Load and ReLoad are exceptionally fantastic. I'm 51. Been with the band since the "No Life" copies from the tape-trade section of Maximumrocknroll. Killer, as always, Trey. 🤜

The ONLY problem I have with that riff is that I've heard it before (Ride the Cashpoint :P) so the song didn't sound originally enough as should've been

Trey....I have been extremely impressed with your ability to nail these bands at the core. Your "main riff" here is as Metallica as Papa James has ever been. Somewhere between Puppies and Justoast when they were in the prime. Keep it coming!!
