I’m very surprised at the amount of external stiffeners they welded on the hull,just for the flipping of the hull. I imagine they will all come off after she’s sitting upright. Doesn’t look anywhere near as big as NautiGuys Bearing. It started out as a 70+ footer. Beautiful yacht,you bought the right maker.👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Does Bering do not use with primer protected steel anymore? It becomes a rustbucket this way. What are all those strips of steel on the outside for? Support for the hull? Would the whole thing collapse when the hull is turned over and they where not there? That wouldn't be good.
@@Navy1977 So you build it upside down to get the best alignment. Than you do not weld it properly together before turning and have to weld strips on to hold it together. And than you also put the weight of the superstructure on top of that. Looks to me as cutting corners.
@@Navy1977 No! They normaly weld it all together first as all the other yards do it. Look at their other hull turning video's or video's with turnings in them. As I remarked in another video, Bering has grown to fast. They are (probably) now cutting corners to keep up with the delivery schedule. Sacrificing their quality. And that is a shame.
Interesting video but it would have been nice to see the whole process without constant interruption and instead of loud music it would have nice to have narration with a technical explanation of each stage and process.
No if you listen to the couple there in the interview she says she's not all that comfortable with the open water if it turns out she can't get over her discomfort there could be a bearing 72 on the market soon and everybody knows how good bearings are so that would be an excellent opportunity to get an excellent bearing without having to wait for a build time
You will be fine , your husband did his homework your getting a safe comfortable brilliantly engineered floating home. Take your time only sail on good weather your little bit of nervousness will float away.
Oh gosh I dream of owning a Bering someday but honestly, it will never happen. After surviving 2008 and the last 4 years of this Biden catastrophe, my money footprint is only 20% of what it was in 2020. But I watch my RUclips buddies over at Nauti guys and they are patiently waiting for the completion of their new Bering 78 ??? It is gonna be a real beauty!! I can’t wait for the real walk thru because seeing it through their eyes and their videos is gonna have to be good enough for me 🤣🤣 Maybe I should start playing the lottery?? Nah!!
