Why does ACA hate this roll technique?

I’m guessing the objections are same as the ones against back deck roll. ‘Might hurt your face on a rock’. Which ignores the much greater chance of hurting face (and more) with repeated unsuccessful roll attempts.

these are Apex Watercraft carbon fiber kayaks. The Ringer is the 1/2 slice and the Rebound is the Playboat.
