      My mistake,
I initially used the figure from KIA Sweden, which states that 2610 kg is the total weight. Total weight is kerb weight plus maximum load.
According to the official numbers from KIA UK:
Gross Vehicle Weight - Total (kg): 2530
      Kerb weight (kg): 2090
      Kerb Weight:
Kerb weight (also spelled “curb weight” in the US) is the weight of a vehicle without any passengers or cargo. It includes all standard equipment, necessary operating consumables such as motor oil, transmission oil, coolant, air conditioning refrigerant, and a full tank of fuel. Essentially, it’s the vehicle’s weight ready to drive but without any load.
      Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW):
Gross vehicle weight (GVW) is the total weight of the vehicle when it is fully loaded. This includes the kerb weight plus the weight of passengers, cargo, and any additional equipment or attachments, like a tow vehicle. GVW is the maximum weight that the vehicle is designed to carry safely according to the manufacturer.
Understanding these two measurements is important for assessing a vehicle’s performance, including its payload capacity (the difference between the GVW and kerb weight) and towing capacity. It helps ensure that the vehicle is not overloaded, which can affect handling, braking, and overall safety.
