i got into dmc 5 a few weeks ago and its so convenient that all this content is coming out now XD definitely will look forward for all your s rank videos; currently going through dmd first playthrough.
I believe it's because it's near impossible to get stylish kills on them due to how weak they are, and how they serve as DT/Health drops. Like, imagine if you got a lowered score for 'not stylishly opening the 2 hit chest'.
Vergil S rank guide:No damage the first fight and get full SDT and concentration. Jump to move to the boss fight so no lose concentration. Go into SDT, deep stinger to the either side of the boss, then hell on earth x2.
Maybe i will write it under every video of this series so everyone will be able to see it. some small tips: if it's difficult to charge your gun and do combos at the same time, you can remap your gun button to let's say R2 and your buster on square, you will get used to it and it will be easier. on some missions you need to get only 5500 style points and on some 6000. don't taunt a lot, because it will make enemies go into devil trigger mode faster. Well, if you're confident you can taunt because it will increase your style rank and points, but i don't recommend it. if you're really confident you can make perfect dodges because it will boost your rank, but if you're not, then you can jump (it will give you i-frames) and backflips will give you even more i-frames.
I chose not to give advice on remapping controls, because it's my belief that people will find what works for them and what their comfortable with; rather than trying to conform everyone into being comfortable with a single setup. I'm not aware which missions require 5500. Do you know which ones in particular require that? There are a ton of things players can do if they're confident, but that isn't the point of purpose of the guide. It is to make the missions as simple and straightforward as possible so that anyone with any skill level could potentially jump in and attempt this.
Honestly, after mastering Nero's basic skillset by defeating Urizen 6 times, I found the M1 to be easy enough that I wanted to do it no damage after first orientational playthrough (A). Still took a few tries since I had to learn to fight against Anethoras Didn't even realize there is like no obligatory fight. I await M3 vid, as this was the first mission I struggled with so much to savescum no damage status.
Absolutely! I chose to go with overture for simplicity but anyone can choose whatever breakers their most comfortable with for the job. I believe for mission 8 I'm gonna give some breaker recommendations, but other than that yeah whatever best suits you. Gerbera for safety, Buster Claw for damage, whatever ya want
I wanted to ask you if it is better in general, to do the s, to focus on not getting hit so as to get a bonus points, or to think about style points for each level in this difficulty? I just have to do the S in this difficulty and then I'm done
I play a bit recklessly so I prefer to just focus on my points and take hits. If you're going for no damage you don't really have to worry about what your points are so you could hang back and charge shot everything. It really just depends on your playstyle I think! I find No Damage attempts far to frustrating/tedious myself but if you can get through it easier that way, go for it!
It's true I'll work hard for what I can do, I think some levels necessarily require no damage, (Dante's mission 10 for example) really despite all the battles with S, In the difficulty previous to this one, it still gave me an A, Then I managed to do it with the S only because I didn't get hit. I think that that level necessarily requires no damage, the calculation of scores however I think is a bit strange, even though it always gives me SSS, in all the battles in that level, gave the final rank a miserable A, so the solution for me was no damage, however in this attempt I will try to do all S, Even in this difficulty, They were a little mean about asking for scores in my opinion
@@ilink-_-69 yeah Mission 10 is no joke. One piece of advice is ignore any non-required fights. Also in some parts (like the room with the Hell Judecca after the Fury room) you can get onto a platform where the enemies can't reach you. You can then do the EX dance taunt over and over until you reach SSS rank and then start hitting them. That should help a lot
@@LucidEnigmaX Anyway, thanks to your videos today I managed to make the first 3 Missoni with the S, your guide in my opinion is the best among those I've seen, I will continue to watch them and try to play your style, Even if I'm not as good as you hahah, In general there are tricks to do with the camera view too, to ensure that enemies don't hit you in some levels, btw GG Bro :)
@@ilink-_-69 I'm really glad they've helped! I do need to get around to finishing this series but I've got some more pressing things to work on at the moment unfortunately. Always happy to help tho!
Another nice video from lucid sigma, nice
Well this mission was straightforward, but you still managed to make a really good explanation out of it, hope to see more in the future.

Mission 1 is my favourite Sonic Level. Being a straight hallway you just speed run through
I can't wait for Mission 18 guide...BECAUSE GODDAMN I NEED IT
Nero vs. a Violent House plant. Such an iconic duel
I'm looking forward to seeing missions 8, 10 and 18 for this series
Mission 8 is easy! Just beat Urizen! Totally easy.
Btw I'm trolling-
nice, cant wait for mission 12
I love this series, keep it up
Ah yes... The mission where running past everything is optimal.
Very informative, I wonder why the tentacles give so much style points though vs common enemies, so many interesting hidden information in 5 I swear!

I PARRIED VERGIL WITH THE DTE WITH NERO WHILE VERGIL WAS FLYING

Devil may cry but it is walking simulator
Cant wait to mission 18
Is it possible to beat dmc 5 while only attacking in Devil trigger or when nightmare is active as V
you should make a guide for hell and hell too if possible
A lot of the tips I give in this series should easily translate over into Hell and Hell as well!
you could also charge the breakers to do a lot more damage on the boss, right ?

How do you get that Nero skin?
Ah it's a mod on PC, the only mods I had installed were purely visual though. I believe it's called Black Order Nero
