In awe at how well you use Nero's angel arm during combos, something I really need to work on myself, I always forget about it. That was also a super clean Goliath fight
My biggest issue with Nero in 4 was how literally everything he did would knock enemies away. Bringer knuckle fixed that and it was like the first thing I learned to utilize lol
Lucid getting straight to the point and giving out awesome quality advice as usual, I love these guides. Now we’re getting serious, our first of many long missions isn’t too difficult, but it’s going to be a lot more difficult to S rank from this point onward.
this was easy to follow currently working through DMC4 getting all trophies on that then hopefully be onto 5. hopefully full walkthrough will be done by then love the way you explained everything. :)
Little tip for the scissor guy : you can DT explode in them. They will be in a grabable stun. Same if you can Charge Shot 3 them while they swirl attack you (I mean the attack after they parry you). The charge shot 3 explosion will but them in a grabable stun.
Upon some testing of my own, you can use Nero's Devil Trigger explosion to launch Goliath's (and Urizen's) fireballs back at them for pretty good results
Indeed! I used that to great effect in my no walking challenge run! I try to keep as much stuff about timing and other skill based things out of the video though because I wanna make it as beginner friendly as possible and showcase the easiest path to victory
Personal Experience: All I had to do in this mission, was not die. Enemy encounters are easy to style on, so all I needed to do was to keep No Continue bonus. It took 3 tries though. But I didn't resort to using save exploit.
Don't know if you remember but during your HaH stream you gave me some advice for mission 3 for the s rank grind. Anyway I'm making steady progress now so thanks
Another advice against Goliath is when he stomps the church's ceiling and destroys it you can do multiple Petal Rays (Gerbera Aerial Breakage) which deal MASSIVE damage due to the confined space and you can then do DT Showdown then a Super Buster (Buster Arm Breakage and DT doesn't affect Buster Arm in any shape or form), which can end the fight far earlier also about the "once again I recommend to taunt to hold your style rank" this isn't the DMC 3/4 Taunt system, bastards nerfed it in DMC 5 overall 9.5/10 guide reason: no DMC 4 Nero Drip
@@LucidEnigmaXTrue to some extent, I just don't like how it doesn't stop the style meter from going down like in DMC 3/4 and punishes me if I don't do air taunts because if you cancel your grounded taunts before it increased your style meter, it will count like you used a complete taunt even tho it was incomplete
am actually curious have you done testing and seen if killing an enemy with a high style rank gives more points than attacking an enemy with a higher style and killing them with a low style rank , i aint doubting you or anything i just want to know as much i can about the style system and jesus most people would make this video last 20 minutes how can you do it in 7 minutes while having actually good tips
I have done testing. Furthermore it's the principle I kept in mind most while recording the entire S rank playthrough and I got the S first try on every mission save for 18. I don't know the full details, I believe it was Ugetora in one of my stream chats that gave a majority of the info on the style system, like how the tentacles give an absurd amount for no reason, etc.
Technically speaking, the highest amount of style gain would be from hitting and killing enemies with a high rank. But, the system is designed in a pretty logical way. They know you start a battle with no style rank, so it doesn't punish the player as much for simply hitting enemies with a lower rank. Similarly, the game assumes that if you've been hitting enemies long enough to kill them, then when they die you should have a high style rank. So in that way, it does punish the player if they were to lose said rank mid-fight and then kill the enemy. But yeah again I don't know the specifics but you can see the logic in it ya know?
@@LucidEnigmaX yeah i can see the logic but m8 10 and 12 still are a thing the devs forgot to play test sadly , one thing i recommend telling people in the m8 video is when they start a fight they should just spam enemy step until they get a B atleast in the first fight attacking enemys with a D and C are what drain your style the most so being able to avoid that could help some people who get hit a lot anyways thanks for the answer

I still find it hilarious that tentacles had like their point values switched with the furies or something for them to be that high
alright, S ranking dmd will be my mission after being done with re4r and I'll be using this guide, thank you

Nero's future's so bright he's gotta wear shades

Definetly gonna do it at 1am🦅🇺🇸🇺🇸🔥‼️

Hope it helped! The Mission 3 episode of this guide will be releasing in less than a week so if you havent gotten it by then, I gotchu!
@@LucidEnigmaX I'm up to mission 8 but I'm looking forward to seeing if dmd is easier to pull off style in than simply not getting touched haha
I love this mission
It's lucidn' time
M10, 8, and 17 14 are so hard 😢😢😢

Taunting will still lock you into whatever rank you currently have for the duration of the taunt tho!
