You know what amazes me about K-Pop? The way you can see that they care about the LYRICS in the song. This is what has me almost leaving american/western pop altogether. It seems that lyrics do not matter anymore as long there's a catchy beat and a chorus that will stuck in your head. But this right here is also a POP song. But the lyrics have a meaning, they tell a story! And I can see this with all of the groups I follow. They don't go into training for 7,8,9 years to deliver something bad to their fans. They put dedication into their product. That's why I respect k-pop more and more as the days passes. And thank you SISTAR19 for coming out with yet another amazing song :)
Matea J. Listen, writing the lyrics entirely on your own v. collaborating with someone to help you put it in a way that is more eloquent/musical does not make a song bad at all. Even if they didn't write the lyrics, their job as a musician is to convey the meaning of the lyrics to you. That is what makes or breaks a song. In that way, singing words that are not your own and still being able to evoke an emotional response from your audience PROBABLY means you're a better artist than someone that has to interpret their own words.
Honestly no one ever did it like SISTAR and had continuously this much success. the members were all really charming and talented, had a great bond and worked so well together. SISTAT WILL ALWAYS REMAIN UNDEFEATED 💪🏻❤️

I both agree and disagree. There wasn't a lot ventured in the kpop industry previously in the last generation so they really did pave the way for the industry to boom, but there are plenty of artists/groups that can be distinguished from the past ones. Psy, Hyuna, Jessi, Sunmi, Andamiro, Jay Park, Ailee, Hyolin, Lee Hi, Chungha, Bolbbalgan4, Akmu, Dream catcher, Kard, Mamamoo, Res Velvet, Wsjn....I can probably go on all night. The list mostly contains soloists as they probably have more say in what they do which ends up really showing off idividuality in style and tastes of the artists, but there are quite a few groups that are actually very different from others and are pretty original. The fact is groups have also adopted new music styles etc to keep audiences entertained with more variety, but aren't always given credit by older gen fans. I too miss old groups and there was so many good songs made back then, but it feels like you are discrediting new groups' quality of music and success because some of your older gen biases may have moved on in life to a new chapter. There has and always will be copy cats in the industry, but not every group is blindly following other's examples. I miss Brave sound songs the most, but I can't get the "bRAveSoUnD" to stop echoing in my brain anytime I think of them. And don't get me started with the "..jyp..".

Listening this on 2022, I still miss this group ! Missing this kind of kvibe. The sexy ones, no scandals, no hates and everything they do just seems fun. Now a days, the fandom is just toxic, just one slight mistake, it became an uproar. Back then, there was no such thing of going against each other, nor we even restrict the artist from dating or even care. It just seems normal back then for them to enjoy what they do, and for us as fan to enjoy the song itself and support them. I was so active in kpop during 2nd gen to 3rd gen kpop but only until the year 2016? like I knew almost all the kpop dances, the lyrics and all the rap parts and had a lot of time to spazz but now I'm just a lowkey kpop fan that only gets updated on whatever's trending on twitter lol I used to buy photocards, posters and other merchandises during their time (still did with blackpink) but I wasn't as active as I was when I was younger and was soooo crazy about kpop. I kinda miss those days, good kpop song (like real kpop) not too much westernize, edm or whatever, just pure kpop and a peaceful fandom.

Bora's rapping is at its best here. I wish she was given more raps like this. I wholeheartedly agree with you. I love it when Bora sounds all deep and sensual when she raps. She gives me the hibby-jibbies lol hahaha. She definitely has the potential to go big; it's just her label needs to give her some time to really learn what it's like to be a rapper, you know. She's my bias and all but I really hate it when she's not given enough rap phrases in the song just because she's "not talented enough". Nala D Same. Those two songs, her rapping was on point. But last year with Touch My Body and I Swear, I wasn't really impressed. Though, her rap for I Swear was catchy, it was short. Honestly, if they're is not going to be a big rap break for Bora, than I want at least 1 line of her singing. I know she can, there's a performance of her singing floating around here somewhere. She has a cute voice, but still, Starship needs to train and work with her more.
MEvox Those were my first songs from sistar so that was my first impression of her and I didn't care much for it at first haha. I'm still skimming a lot of their songs but had I not made the effort I wouldn't of saw her potential. I feel like the "look" they're going for is cute and sexy and they rely on that a lot which is fine but I get the feeling people don't take them seriously (esp because of that horrendous touch my body dance) which is a shame because hyorin has amazing vocals and soyou can def keep up but she doesn't get as much airtime. I really do love them though just wished they branched them out more or utilized the members differently.

Bora's rapping is at its best here. I wish she was given more raps like this. I hope Starship Entertainment let's her go to the Underground Rap Scene and learn and expand her skills, such as bring in more intensity and passion, improve her flow, and teach her to write her own raps. That way, she can become more useful to the group. But, when will she find the time with all her TV experiences? Sigh...
I wholeheartedly agree with you. I love it when Bora sounds all deep and sensual when she raps. She gives me the hibby-jibbies lol hahaha. She definitely has the potential to go big; it's just her label needs to give her some time to really learn what it's like to be a rapper, you know. She's my bias and all but I really hate it when she's not given enough rap phrases in the song just because she's "not talented enough". Starship definitely has the resources and money to give her the lessons needed

Nala D Same. Those two songs, her rapping was on point. But last year with Touch My Body and I Swear, I wasn't really impressed. Though, her rap for I Swear was catchy, it was short. Honestly, if they're is not going to be a big rap break for Bora, than I want at least 1 line of her singing. I know she can, there's a performance of her singing floating around here somewhere. She has a cute voice, but still, Starship needs to train and work with her more.
MEvox Those were my first songs from sistar so that was my first impression of her and I didn't care much for it at first haha. I'm still skimming a lot of their songs but had I not made the effort I wouldn't of saw her potential. I feel like the "look" they're going for is cute and sexy and they rely on that a lot which is fine but I get the feeling people don't take them seriously (esp because of that horrendous touch my body dance) which is a shame because hyorin has amazing vocals and soyou can def keep up but she doesn't get as much airtime. I really do love them though just wished they branched them out more or utilized the members differently.
