I completely agree about the central locking, it is so satisfying how silent they are and the sequence at which they seamlessly fall down when you lock the car (8:55 for a demonstration). The hidden compartment in the glovebox with the coin (and pen) holder is a neat feature indeed that not many know about. The cup holder is not that useful though! The previous gen is a complete timeless classic, but the w140 was so advanced for its time, especially early s500s with crazy options and the special s600 with all its leather trimmed dash

This car could have been blanket in a garage since came out from factory. My W140 S320 is like a seasoned jeans at the back of my shop...still road worthy though. its my baby elephant.
The Worst Barn on Wheels ever. Boring to Death to Drive with terrible Handling. Front suspension of an Impala. Not nearly as comfortable for passangers as a Town Carvor Fleetwood. A very pristine W140 you have there & surely yours looks better than mine, the AMG monoblock wheels really make a difference to the appearance of the car 👍 It seems that another 7k km's I will have the same mileage as your w140.. that if I have the courage to drive it daily to reach that km.. As apposed for now it barely being used. 😅
Thank you, although I would say yours looks just as good as mine even if I'll admit that I have a soft spot for black S-Classes! The look of the AMG monoblock wheels on the W140 comes down to preference I suppose - some love them, others don't, as they are a bit "flashy". Mine originally had steel wheels with the W124 E-Class covers as it's a S280, and since I managed to get a great deal on the monoblocks when I bought the car I decided to stick with them. I think the wheels that you have look more elegant and original on the car. Nice, really similar mileage! And I can really relate to that struggle haha, I am always terrified when driving (and parking) mine as well. I daily drive it during the summer months, though.

Love that carpet headliner, pillars and bottom doorpanels. Better like "cold" leather. Carpet is like '80s- '90s pre-alcantara 🤔🙂. Without fake wood, fake chrome, fake leather. Black plastic buttons, no silver fake shit, MB flagship with vinyl dashboard and doorpanels. I looove this decent oldschool quality! Today- The people need fake leather dashboard wrap...fake blinkblink silver plastic buttons, basels and covers... with horrible squeezing, rattling the cheapest plastic interior parts. Novadays interiors looks like aliexpress blinkblink shits. New Sclass too at first.
