The rooftop scene between Daredevil and Punisher was pulled almost directly from the comics. In the comics, Punisher chains Daredevil up on a rooftop and gives him a gun, forcing a similar ultimatum on him - shoot and kill Frank before he can execute a mob boss with a sniper rifle, or don't shoot and thereby let Frank murder the mobster. It illustrates the same kind of idealogical differences between both characters.

@@Haldurson I'm pretty sure they both said they watched at least the first season of Jessica Jones. Catching up on Luke Cage would be helpful too. I don't know that anyone wants to watch Iron Fist though.
The rooftop scene is the best scene of the series, hands down. In fact this is possibly the best episode as a whole. The philosophical discussions of morality and personal responsibility…the hallway scene…even Foggy and Claire’s B-plot. It’s all so perfectly brilliant. If I were to show someone a single episode to get them “hooked” on Daredevil as a series, I think this would be the episode I’d want to show them.
Idk what’s better the argument punisher & Matt had or that one shot of the hallway why this show so good the writing is just amazing. & I love how much Claire & Foggy have grown
On the subject of Frank being a soldier... An interesting argument in the dialogue of police reform and police shootings in the US is that the American Military apparently has stricter Rules of Engagement, when a soldier is allowed to shoot or return fire, than American police have.
I have a friend who's worked both that talks about this every time there's a police shooting. He said the military rules were so drilled into him by the time he saw combat that he can't fathom why police academies wouldn't do the same
This episode is an absolute monster🔥, love this season so much. Thanks ladies loved your reactions as always. Constantly looking forward to the next one 🍻
The taped gun on Daredevil is actually from a Punisher series called Welcome Back, Frank by Garth Ennis (who also created the comic series of The Boys). Even though the rooftop scene is a great scene, the gun part was MUCH BETTER in the comic than in this episode.
This season on Netflix, in hindsight, is highly underrated to the point where it's almost criminal. The characters are depper, more profound, they have more to do and its more of a character driven show. The filmmaking aspects show that Daredevil Season 2 is less shaky and more confident in its approach to storytelling. The writing, directing, acting, music, action and stunt cheroagraphy is more refined and it shows where it feels less rough around the edges in comparison to Season 1. It builds off the first season but in a more confident manner. Frank Castle is a worthy adversary and great foil and the way his arc sets up his future series is great. The same with Electra. In my opinion, every season of this show got better until it was unjustly canceled.
I will trade that rooftop scene for, 7 minute in heaven. Please editor, Jaby make sure that happens👏🏻. Although, they could’ve finished the season on Patreon already😩.
Claire talking about her demotion after helping another strong guy is a reference to the events of Jessica Jones S1. I wonder if Steph at this point knows that JJ S1 is set in this same universe.
