Disco music was probably the last best music ever made. Everything else that came after disco music cannot hold a candle to this soul-stimulating music.
He'd probably be thrilled to hear anything. Beethoven was losing his hearing when he composed "The Fifth" and went almost completely deaf six years later. If you bring him back, make sure to get him a hearing aid. :)
I have been looking for a longer version of "A Fifth Of Beethoven", and finally found it here. Thank you DiscoCat for this wonderful remix. It is amazing!!!!
Let us hope that the generation of today will appreciate this music. Disco music was the last best music format before rap and hip-hop were caught in the way.
Amazing efforts..thanks for sharing....i think this masterpiece wouldnot be as amazing as it now if the Hammond organ not played that sweet tone...the hammond make it so nice
Amazing good ! 1978 I was 20 years-old.It`s always feels so good to read about the history of how these songs came about. Thank You so much DJDiscocat for giving us this history lesson of how Walter Murphy did this. This number should get more appreciation !
I just love the history of Walter Murphy. Forced in childhood to a life of classical musical lessons myself, I appreciated this disco take back then, and am digging this extended version! Thanks DJDiscoCat!
I had a friend whose mother taught music. She thought this song was terrible and sacrilegious. But, it did do what Walter Murphy said it would. To us grade school kids who were obsessed with the music on the radio, this track gave classical music some street cred with us. We didn't know anything about Bach or Mahler, but we sure as shit knew the Fifth of Beethoven.
This Song is THE Song which reflects the Soul of the 70's: Funk! Love! Dance! Peace! Glamour! Joy! It's the Music my Heart beats to! :) Live long and prosper!
Amazing mix great job! Also Walter Murphy arranged others classics songs in 1979 "DiscoSymphony" album, It was superb! .Mainly Ravel's Bolero suite. Thankyou DjDiscoCat!
One of the GREATEST disco 💃 hits of that time in pop music history-now better than ever thanks to the extended refresh of The Incomparable D-Cat! Success!💃

Disco music was probably the last best music ever made. Everything else that came after disco music cannot hold a candle to this soul-stimulating music.
If Beethoven came back to life today, and heard this.....he'd say it was badass. 😁👍
He'd probably be thrilled to hear anything. Beethoven was losing his hearing when he composed "The Fifth" and went almost completely deaf six years later. If you bring him back, make sure to get him a hearing aid. :)
