The song "Raining Blood" from them has been one of the most requested songs from you guys so we gave it a shot! It is a little different than what we're used to, definitely is more chaotic, but a very interesting song to hear for sure! Enjoyable! Out there!

Something newer my be more to your liking. South of Heaven or Seasons in the Abyss have some slower songs but are still very heavy. The song "South of Heaven" off their self-titled album is a great tune.

The week Metallica released the Black album my sister told me how much she loved it, her having never previously listening to Metallica, I threw out all my Metallica stuff. They have never been the same
@@EmperorHeadass I never get tired of listening to Slayer. Hanneman and King put loads of riffs in every song. Run of the mill metal bands could dissect a Slayer song and create 3-4 different songs. That's what made them so great, and Lombardo drumming on a whole other level. Saw them live in Fayetteville North Carolina in 1991 on the Clash of the Titans Tour, totally insane 🤘

King Shuckle35 I know there is difference even in genres. But this sounds like punk. And at the beginning of there career Metallica were labelled Trash. But ever single Metallica song that i have listened to has no metal in it at all. All there songs sound like Punk. I do know Metallica started out copying Hardecore bands. With Hardcore it’s self is a sub genre of punk. Trash is not Metal. Ever single thrash song I have listened to has no metal in it. I keep getting recommended people favourite Metal bands and song. Some of them sound even less metal than trash. I never thought that could possibly be done by any band. But I guess it got even worse over the years. When know. People on the internet watching and talking about metal. When a lot of what they are watching and talking about is not even metal.

I think they should work their way up to Satan's Fall - it's pretty long and complex for an introduction to MF's stuff. Evil or Curse Of The Pharaohs would be more suited, or Black Funeral for its short duration. Gypsy or A Dangerous Meeting, plus a couple of others (from the followup album) would be fantastic introductions.
THEN they could tackle Satan's Fall, lol.

Check out a song from Slayer's first album in 1983, called Black Magic - much more consistent in its arrangements, very fast and speedy, with only a brief slowing of the pace just before the solo, when it blasts off at full speed again.

It's a very hard song to digest at first, but after some time you start getting the small details and it keeps getting better and better.

As a musician I know what u mean by "off key" or "chaotic rhythmic structure" etc.
I have 2 options and surely will be this: In some genres specialy in thrash metal there's a kind of drum beat which still you may not listen to. While most music "we" listen we use the snare to keep the beat, in this beat you should use the kick/pedal to keep the beat. If you keep the snare as usual then you will listen it like the guitars are going by their way and drums too. it's popular called "skank beat" and is one of the most characteristic things of thrash metal. Slayer uses it a lot, you went to the song that's harder for newbies to keep this beat. Just check angel of death for example and you will find it is still fast but you're able to keep it a lot easier. South of heaven, seasons in the abyss or dead skin mask has not this beat, and in my opinion south of heaven is a terrible bad song along with dead skin mask...Seasons in the abyss is nice but no skank beat in case you want to catch it. When you catch it then the thrash metal universe opens, then u can enjoy death, sepultura, testament...
Kick, snare, kick, snare... You wait to snare to keep beat so you ate the first hit of this 4/4 example. The guitars and all music started with the first kick so you listen it always off beat and that guitars are not in rhythm with drums or drums are not with guitars

You guys seem to understand the instrumental aspect of the song more than most reactors haha. They do have slower and less chaotic songs that would be cool to check out for comparison. Their song "South of Heaven" is awesome.
The way that you were describing the off key sound making the beauty of it was right on track..Thats the key to Slayers magical nightmare sound. When I first started to listen to Slayer, I always described their sound to a Metal symphony orchestra playing in hell. Some of their songs will make you feel like your hallucinating.The top 3 metal bands of all time for me is Metallica, Pantera and Slayer

Without Rick Rubin ( fifth member) the albums would not have turned out the way they were.It was changed from Raining Blood to Reign in blood.
I think this is the only channel that is reacting to "correct" metal music for newcomers. I've seen lots of newcomers who are jumping to death metal from heavy metal which is vexatious. Keep reacting to metal without jumping to certain subgenres you're not completely used to.
