It sounds like Klay is realizing that he's probably going to get a better offer from another team. Taking a hometown discount and a reduced roll would not be good for his mental health.
Klay deserves to be signed more than Draymond. He has never hurt the team as much as Draymond. Pay Klay, he has given your team everything and has done whatever you asked of him.

Draymond helps run the offense and is the anchor defensively. Klay was never more impactful than him when it came to winning.

there are reports that some teams particularly the magic are interested in klay and may be willing to give him a bigger bag if he joins them for his shooting.
