You're right, there is sticker shock. But... I did a double Bussman panel setup and a switch box in the K5 a couple years ago. 10 Relayed/fused + 10 fused only connections which has worked great. After hours and hours of building the panels, buying all the wire, components, plugs, etc... it has got to add up to $600-650. I lost track at 500 and still had some stuff to finish... Then, I had to have 25 man hours in the whole project. If I had to do it again, I think I would go this route. One trade off... Solid state board. it goes down, you could loose everything. I carry fuses and spare relays, so a little less risky than solid state. Love the way you set it up. That setup is awesome. Have a good one James!
I remember your system. It’s exactly what you need to build to compare with a set up like the switch pro. I was researching building the same thing until I saw yhis
@@MerricksGarage Yeah, the SPOD was not "large enough" for me at the time and overpriced for six switched circuits, but this new system is great. Thanks for the video James. Also, I welded up the seat brackets last weekend. my local powder coat shop is closed, so think I'll put a coat of epoxy on them this weekend. Got a nice "twin tab" burn on my elbow from leaning up against the support tabs like a dummy... haha
For real though. I have a military trailer that I built a telescoping roof rack to carry our family size roof top tent. It is just nitrogen charged struts that raise it up now and they struggle. I could run actuators on each corner, wire them powered through the military connector into my truck and control them through the console! And that’s just the beginning!
14:18 Not exactly. The Force 12 has some additional tech. For instance, the 9100 does not support ON,ON,OFF. I learned this the hard way. Because of this I now own both. The 9100 that I bought and installed last week, and the RCR 12 that’s on its way now. Don’t tell my wife…🤦♂️
If this system is basically an all in one. Why is it that the vast majority of vids with the 9100 have bus bars, fuse boxes & all that stuff ? Does the RCR come with those built in but not the 9100 ?
15:58 spin cycle in 3…2…1… 😂 I kid. Great video! Liked and sub’d. I’m kicking myself for giving in to the initial sticker shock and buying the cheaper Chinese made knock off. I might return it when it arrives and order this. BTW Genright had the owner and his wife on for an interview recently.

@@MerricksGarage I just don't have any handy. I need to buy some for sure as it looks killer. Happy Birthday, by the way!
Thanks man!
No doubt ONE OF THE GREATEST THINGS IVE EVER SEEN nothing short of awesome.

Thanks man. Yea during the install I was like wait!! I could do this! And off on a tangent I would go lol
Just got the 9100 with 8 circuits for my motorcycle/sidecar rig. I’m impressed with the quality and features that it has. Great video! Subscribed
Enjoy it! It is a rad piece of kit! I keep coming up with different ways to use mine.
That is freaking sweet Merrick @Merricks Garage

Yup! I learned this the hard way installing one of the smaller models!
This is very cool. Great video by the way.
Thanks man. I enjoyed making this one.

Thanks man! I LOVE this thing. I am adding a KC Hilites pro6 light bar right now and it’s literally two wires!!!

@ 2:51, where did you get that swivel looking mount that’s holding the actual switch pros switch panel? It doesn’t come w/ that from what I’ve seen.

Me too!
Where did you get the lightsaber on the back of the truck?
That’s my whip! You have to have them for the dunes. It should be up in my amazon store!
I don't know what your bragging about that looks like a mess.
