Black women have to make decisions on what they Really want. Is it worth it to become a boss chick just to be tired and unable to get along and work with a Husband. When you said many women are choosing solitude after years of bossing it I was like wow, I know black women like this.

They want the rights but not the responsibilities that go with them. Which is a form of immaturity.
Most women want feminism when it works to their advantage, and tradition when that works for to their advantage.

Feminism is the equality of women in social, intellectual, educational, economical, and political spaces to name a few.
We are not obligated to engage in all these spaces simultaneously or for forever, but if I apply to be a manager at Walmart then my pay should be the same as a man’s pay.
Women could not buy property or get loans in the past.
I would like a committee to really consider my application, education and background to deduce if I’m a good fit for a job instead of immediately dismissing me because of my gender.
That being said feminism won’t save us. We still have to make decisions that are actually right for us, our purpose, our relationships, where God is leading us, and our real lifestyle.
I’m great at my job and people keep calling to give me a promotion but I turn it down every time. I don’t want my job owning my life. I make a decent pay, I need time to spent with my family and take care of myself.
How does it impact relationships 🤷🏽‍♂️ relationships are more tricky. It’s about making them work not political rights.
Feminism created OPPORTUNITIES that did not exist 100 years ago, but I still need to MAKE DECISIONS about what I do and for how long.

That is a good description of second wave feminism and why it was necessary. That is a HIGHLY inaccurate description of fourth wave/intersectional feminism and what its agenda is.
As a man I am an enthusiastic supporter of second wave feminism…yet an unapologetic opponent of where the movement is now. The movement as of 2023 has lost its moral compass and its way. Training women to see themselves as eternal victims without agency…and convincing that if they are not being given freedom without risk…and power without responsibility?
They are being oppressed. When the reality is that they are simply seeing life as men have lived it for millennia. Iow, actual equality.

@@nnekaonyilofor THIS IS A PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT: This is a battlefront, and men must acknowledge it as such. Feminist women are the adversaries. No straddling the fence. You are either or or not. Refusing to impregnate her strips away her power over you. The modern feminist endeavor has failed, leading to a shift in strategy. Presently, proponents are adapting by upholding the ideals central to feminism but avoiding the explicit use of the term. As Western governments gradually dismantle the bureaucratic support systems that enabled women to challenge traditional marital norms, leaders within the feminist movement seem to be strategically employing language to guide young women towards seeking financial stability from a partner without overtly expressing the need for a man. Their discourse often centers on the desire for financial security, avoiding explicit mentions of wanting a contented marriage or acknowledging a need for a man's support.

I'm thinking in general because we as individuals are all negotiating with life in terms of cherry picking the societal mores we like the fantasies we have about our own self worth & aspirations vs what "we" men & women are really worth in practice by the people willing or not to be with us
We all espouse this stuff ... feminism, masculinity etc until it's time to pay the bill that comes with the belief then some folk rise to the occasion while others take several seats & never recover.

I think by now, we all know who pioneered the feminist movement in the United States and why. I think we also know that the movement only even considered black women as pawns and to boost numbers.
I would agree that black women have been tired for a very long time, having not many choices, if any regarding how to make a living.
Would we ask our "brothas" aka the communities of black men if they are included in the patriarchy? Why? And how it affects them and their communities?
I think these are all good conversations to have, but people have to keep it real.

I think the overall definition of true feminism has changed up. I think from day one we were programmed into certain roles. Boys would get army men and toys leaning towards careers like police cars and trucks( mimicking 18 wheelers) and girls would always get the mock kitchen, laundry room and of course the baby doll. Boys dress up clothes were also leaning towards their socially acceptable career like the fireman play outfit/set while us girls only had the “princess” outfit. All of this mentally shaped us into “ traditional thinking” 30 years later Barbie no longer comes with Ken. She’s now being sold with a baby with no father and 1000+ careers.. definitely speaks volumes to where we are in society nowadays

My 1st time on your channel. Im 38 and have only been hearing about this feminist talk the last 1-2 yrs. I think women would just like the option to work etc. Not necessarily meaning they have to. Some like working an some don't! 2 me being a boss felt like babysitting so i turned that hat in real quick yrs ago. But honestly speaking our generation an younger we didn't fight 4 any of this. We were just born jnto it an don't know much about it. Our parents encouraged us to get educated to be able to care 4 ourselves if need be. We got jobs so we weren't deemed lazy. My inlaws and parents were born in the 40s and they consider a non working woman lazy! Ive never had a female mention anything about feminism in life lol.
