I have a Stoeger RX20TAC and can't fault it. Accurate at 25 yards, great price and the scope it came with is absolutely fine. Also I personally really like the Stoeger styling. I think the Scout will be my first venture into PCP land.
Morning Andy , thanks for the balanced review as always . I've owned 2 Stoegers over the years , both agricultural by which I mean almost bullet proof, both accurate enough to be excellent considering the price and both utterly and totally consistent shot to shot. That trigger takes some getting used too so I do understand where the odd off group shot came from. Another fiercely priced rifle in an expanding market, excellent. Dave
Another nice gun. I can't help but think we are rather spoiled now. Any of these guns back in the 1980s when I started shooting would have been like owning a Ferrari. I know that's progress.
Yea.. The Stoegers that I've seen (even here in Finland where airguns often cost slightly more than needed to) the Stoeger prices have not been bad. So very nice to see this Stoeger featured on the channel. Was accurate enough indeed for the money. I would though first off want to feel one in person before buying. The knocking on the synthetic stock (when Andy was outside) made it sound very "hollow plasticky"(?) - but of course that did not show itself on the actual target work, which went so good. I overall love the design and looks of the stock - especially underneath the barrel. The pic rails at the front maybe a bit off putting in my eyes - but way nice that comes included for the price of it all. But still.. Way good at 40 meters!😁👍🏻
Hi , yes it made a noise when shooting , a different stock is needed ... i think there nothing wrong with scopes that sometimes are included , An dy dont like them ? but if your broke , its a start ..... How are you and your family ? i hope you are ok ... Take care
Or splash out another £90 and get an all metal, wooden stock JTS Airacuda Max that sticks shot after shot in the same hole at 40 yards. And I was so impressed with my .22 Airacuda I bought .177 version too.
I am a bit sceptical about claiming 40 yard shots all going through the same hole and l think for the price, it is pretty good vfm. Not everyone has an endless budget so again, a nice entry level bit of kit
My JTS was a f’in piece of garbage. Parts 04 and 05 were froze together. Couldn’t access the 1/2 20 screw. Cheek riser metal had rust on it. Holes in the stock for the gauges were way off center. All this straight out of the box.
Hi Andy; greetings from Buenos Aires. Good quality, and as you say, much cheaper than Louis Vuitton stuff ... 😂. On the other hand, STOEGER is part of BERETTA Group. By the way, I have the STOEGER F40 spring rifle under lever. Quite nice as well ... !
Great review 👌 it seems these lower end guns are getting better when they bring out a new version of the early models. I do quite like the look of this one.
Got mine about 3 months ago. Paid 320 US$ . I get dime groups full mag at 25 yards with hades. Full metal mags, and can use same mags as snowpeak m series
Just learning about this type of air rife. How on earth do you fill the gas tube up? is there a pump on the gun or do you have to go to the gas station air compressor?
Stoeger stock with a SnowPeak action - another one, surprised it wasn't a "Remington". The amount of exacting trigger groups, magazines and bolt/lever cocking systems around these "budget" rifles are all from the same box of Chinese parts, labelling it a Gucci" would probably be possible at this point.
Is the gx any good? I hear it's mega accurate but hates being knocked as the barrel moves slightly? Not really an issue for target but no good for hunting which is exactly why I'm looking for a synthetic stock rifle. I'm thinking of just getting an XM1 and being done with it as it is really cheap for what it's capable of. I dunno I'm still looking
Nice at the price, likewise with the accessories, better to have a couple of magazines than a crappy scope and moderator, also good to see a regulated rifle, did I spot a second pressure guage under the stock, I assume that's for the regulated pressure...nice touch
Yes they're more temperature stable regarding shot counts. In hot weather you get less shots with co2 as the gas is "thinner" due to ambient temperature. You also get less power output than PCP rifles. You can also leave pcps with a full (or partially full) cylinder and not have to worry about no gas in it months later. Co2s will dissipate gas from cylinders over time. Your shot count also tends to be lower due to smaller cylinder sizes.
Right ! Lets see what this gun can do ! Loads it then wanders off like Joe Biden when he can hear the ice cream van 😄 im not complaining i thought it was pretty funny tbh - Im also not the one providing all these reviews and stuff so keep up the good work Joe ! Gah sorry Andy
A fair few people at my shooting club have the previous XM1, at the club we have 5 lanes I was on lane 5. Lanes 1-4 all had a stoeger XM1, every single one at the same time had either a jam or a double loading issue. Then I find out my dad got one recently, that also constantly jams or double loads because it doesn't always cock correctly. Honestly anyone looking for a pcp even on a budget, look elsewhere and avoid this stoeger junk.
You've got a really nice garden there Andy.
haha true

Good review Andy, I like the look of the Stoeger, looks like it would be very capable once run in, nice scope as well. 👍
that lv comparison is legend !!!

He did a year ago bud 😂

Exactly. Or an avenger ...

Pretty good really and would even better with sorted pellets of the right type.
Lightened trigger may provide the difference.
Good review.
You'll get more accuracy out of it if you find what pellet it likes
For the price of the gun and the group it produced at 40m, I'd get a German springer instead.

Good morning everybody , and our host Andy , nice to see Stoeger rifles .... have a fantastic weekend ..... Be Safe and Shoot Safe ! .. cheers Si

That stock is gopping. It would look so much better with a simple sporter stock.
yep stock lets it down a bit .... but still nice rifle
Why did you not use mag ?
Not using that magazine gives me impression that there is a issue ...
Just learning about this type of air rife. How on earth do you fill the gas tube up? is there a pump on the gun or do you have to go to the gas station air compressor?
Good rifle if you like a low cheek piece bad ish trigger and you’re happy to stick a decent barrel on it.

Morning all
Hmmmm thats tempting !
Yeah but don't agree with you, Andy regarding budget not everyone can afford it 😘💕👍👍
He’s speaking in relation to the price of other modern pcp rifles like the fxs that cost about 2000 vs the 350 for the stoeger
Hi andy what silencer/moderator would you recommend for this? Ive got one in .22
Is the regulator adjustable?????
Phrases like "good enough" and "adequate" - shouldn't come with an over £400 price tag!
Not for me I'm afraid, when you could get a gx250 that would put pellet on pellet for less money
Is the gx any good? I hear it's mega accurate but hates being knocked as the barrel moves slightly? Weak bladder moment Andy ? Just waiting for tumbleweed to roll past. 😂 .
For around £400 that's good in today's market.
Nice at the price, likewise with the accessories, better to have a couple of magazines than a crappy scope and moderator, also good to see a regulated rifle, did I spot a second pressure guage under the stock, I assume that's for the regulated pressure...nice touch
Did I miss it, or did you not mention shot count?
Look nice 👍👍👍👍
Nice.
Great review Andy as your in the industry and wondered if you know if JTS will bring the stealth hawk to 🇬🇧
So would you say the Gamo phox kit is ruined with a cheap scope? And how would you compare the two?
isnt it the same magasines as the snowpeaks??
Morning one and all
Great review as ever.
Can we request reviews? In which case can you review the reximex accura? Love to know what you think of it.
Great funnnnnnnnnnnn!!!!!😂
Why would there be a difference between mag or not ?
The spring in the mag slightly squishes the pellets as it's cycling I believe
Thanks for the review but in my humble view its a £300 gun 🤔
does it have a regulator guage
That grouping is terrible!
Can you review the air arms s510t tactical please
ruclips.net/video/PmXkSaCs4GQ/видео.html
I want to buy one from Andy
Morning Andy, nice review as always 😊
Recycled Artemis M16 by the looks of it.
Larson Hill
are pcp generally better than using co2?

Poor grouping considering it looks like a windless day. Perhaps a different pellet or two might prove that it can be more accurate?
Hi, how do I message you without upsetting everyone? Alan.
Nice one Andy may look at one of these for pest control.
Great review as always
Morning all hope your all ok
Thanks for sharing Andy have a great weekend everyone 🎯🇬🇧👍🏼
walter rotax rm8 better for the money imo
Morning good review i have the original xm1 and im looking into the scout as my next purchase, really good rifles for the price,,,😊
Did you just walk down range in front of a loaded rifle ?
@@philspencer8251 Camera angle I’m afraid
Hi. That was firing all over the place , after being zeroed, rubbish really tbh , should go back to the manufacturer with a list of improvements
Comeon Andy, do squirrel hunting 🐿️🐿️🐿️
Wye o Wye don't any of u reviews zero ya scope and hit the bulls eye at least more then once, all this grouping an inch away don't wash with me
it your breathing and rushing your shots slower shots

Won’t be buying that ever. It can’t shoot consistently.
