That is truth spoken. 1 Peter 2:9 says, "But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should bring forth praises of Him who hath called you out of darkness into His marvelous light. " We are purposed to reflect back His glory to Him. He redeemed us to make us His worshippers. We are to show the world who God is through what "we allow" Him to do in and through us. Taylor, this is a lesson God spent years trying to get me to understand. My husband struggled with addiction all his life, and I was constantly praying God would change Him. But sixteen years passed, and life was still a roller-coaster ride. It was not until God forced me to take my focus off my husband and look at my sin instead. I saw myself in His eyes, and It was not good. So I began praying that God would change me....and boy, did He ever do a work. It was not fun, but it was worth it. My husband has been addiction free for the last 4 years. Praise God! And still growing in Christ.
