😎 The way I have mine set up is similar, although even more simplistic. I don’t have any icons on the Home Screen itself, just one folder with 9 of my most used apps in the dock that I call “One”. It’s there in the dock so any focus mode it will be there and the focus mode simply changes my background from one simple background to the next and they are all black-and-white. ✌️
I have sensitive eyes, and I love IOS18/IPadOS18 for allowing me to not only costomise my phone and iPad the way I want to, but also to put my phone in dark mode

Have you tested those wallpapers which you can use to hide the dock? Example "mysterious iphone wallpaper" or others? I think that I'm using one from "Wallpapers that make your iPhone dock invisible" and I don't have visible dock on my home screen.
Boring = indistractable. Liked it, I've just made a video on how I created a bunch of shortcuts to increase the friction to scrolling, you might like it.
