Before I met my wife, I dated a single mother and she told me she makes guys wait to meet her children because she was molested as a child. At that time, I was in law enforcement so I candidly told her no amount of time will prevent a person from being a predator if that is something they intend on doing. I arrested a man who waited seven years to molest his stepdaughter because he said 9 was the perfect age for him. The mother and biological father had the hardest time accepting what happened because they both genuinely believed the stepfather was such a "good guy." That same year, I arrested a nanny for inserting objects into babies rectums. She was also a live-in nanny for a family for 3 years at one point. All this to say, you never know a person's true intentions and this is one of the reasons why it is so challenging to be a single parent. You never know who you can trust because relatives can be predators too. My heart goes out to the children & parents, lives will never be the same.
Moral is, Don’t trust anyone. Protect your own. And take ALL and ANY precaution for the ones you love. Life can be destroyed in a single second. That fact is SICK but thanks for sharing ppl should hear this more,

I worked my local jails here in Phoenix, Arizona for 20 years, if general population inmates get to this sick pervert there will be only two places he will visit there after: the nearest level 1 trauma center or the county medical examiner's office for his own autopsy. There is always at least one inmate already facing life or death that will step up and volunteer his services, what else can you do to him after??? Most all of the inmates have their own families at home, they take this super personal. He will have to be housed in protective custody to save his life, but even that will not be a guarantee!!!

I believe this because this happened to me when I was a kid. Through my whole childhood & when I said something my mom told me I was lying, be quiet, it didn’t happen stop saying that, now I’m an adult and I have the urge to tell her how she failed me and that it has effected me but not in all bad ways. I was then put in foster care and aged out the system. It’s crazy how I grew got closure forgave from being molested and sexually abused as a child from family, childhood friends, babysitter, like complete closure in a way but I haven’t gotten the closure that my mom didn’t believe me and failed to protect me as a kid. I feel I was only around because my dad was paying child support. She used me and didn’t care. I pray these kids get more love now because they’re going to need it. Sorry to see this happening and I really thought it wasn’t happening to anyone else but me at that time. Seeing this happen as an adult to a kid really breaks my heart.

My mom never decided to tell her how heartbroken she was that they were not believed. Now that her mom has passed she regrets not confessing to her mom about the pain she caused her.

(She was an evil woman), but people were speaking kind of her and I was so upset knowing the truth of her neglect and abuse I had to walk out. Me walking out gave my mom the courage to stand up and speak the truth to everyone at the funeral. I missed it but my sister told me all about it. I’m just glad my mom finally got to tell her side of the story even if it was just in front of family.

(She was an evil woman), but people were speaking kind of her and I was so upset knowing the truth of her neglect and abuse I had to walk out. Me walking out gave my mom the courage to stand up and speak the truth to everyone at the funeral. I missed it but my sister told me all about it. I’m just glad my mom finally got to tell her side of the story even if it was just in front of family.
