Expose was Tha Bomb.
I always preferred the original version of this song. A lot of people don't know that there was the first lineup of Exposè that featured Alé Lorenzo, Laurie Miller and Sandeé. They were formed in Miami by producer Lewis Martinee. They had two massive hits "Point of no Return" and "Exposed to Love." Alé sang lead on both of those tracks. Because of their success they got a record deal with Arista records and recorded their first album. However, Alé decided she did not want to constantly tour and decided to leave. Her and Laurie Miller actually heard Jeanette (who sings lead on this version of Point of no Return) at a club in California. They told the producer about her and she was hired to replace Alé. However, due to conflicts over how little the girls were being paid and the contracts (which basically gave the label all rights), Sandeé and Laurie ended up leaving as well. All 3 of the original singers ended up doing great solo work. However, with the other two girls leaving, the producers brought in Gioia and Ann. Then, they re-recorded the lead vocals and kept all of the background vocals from the original girls. Their debut album, EXPOSURE, is a combination of background vocals from the first lineup and leads from the second lineup. The first pressings of the album featured the original Point of no Return with Alé on lead as well as Exposed to Love. For some reason, the label decided to re-record Point of no Return with Jeanette on leads--but they left the original Exposed to Love on the record, which is actually the first lineup singing.
Indeed, Gioia (not lead on this one) can saaaaaaaaang!
