@@dhruvvvji Prop the tablet on a hard surface and apply steady pressure. When I tried to do it in my lap or in my hand I couldn't get enough force to open the tray. First try with it on the table and the tray popped open *just* enough to pry it out with my fingernails.
I got my tablet for myself for Christmas this year. The 256 Gig SD Card just showed up today. Though I'm pretty tech knowledgeable, I wanted to verify the process. It was very nice hearing understandable English! Very straight forward and I don't see anything that could improve this technical documentation. Thank you for taking the time to create it!

I just got mine at costco with a 64 gig card included. I didn't get exactly the same options as you show there and there was no format option. However, it apparently comes pre-formatted, because I've already stored photos on it. Nevertheless, this video would have been priceless had I needed it.

Here is how you format the tablet purchased at costco in case you need it for the future. 1. Choose settings 2. scroll down to "Battery and Device Care" and select it. 3. Click "storage" 4. Go to the top right and click on the three dots 5. Click "advance" 6. Click "SD Card" 7. Click "format" 8. Finally click "Format SD Card" in the little window that will pop up. I couldn't figure out why the files weren't being saved onto the memory card ! I never knew I had to format memory card, much less how to do so. I had to watch 3 or 4 times, write it all down and then actually follow you step by step. I put your video in its own folder so i can always find it. And I guess i have to "unmount" the card when I take it out. Couldn't have done it without you! Thank you!!!!!!!!
With the Galaxy Tab A7 Lite, when you click on Storage after Battery and device care, there's no SD card. But see two little dots at the bottom of the list. Touch the one on the right and there's your SD card. Then click the three dots at the side where it says SD card and the option to format comes up.

A couple differences with my A7 (phone equipped) as of 6-6-21: 1) It's "Battery & Device Care". 2) After I put it in and went to settings, it was showing up with folders and some Android stuff already on it, so I guess it formatted it on its own. It's probably not formatted. I saw the same thing on my wife's tablet. Once you have clicked on "Storage" you'll see a menu in the upper right-hand corner of the screen (has 3 tiny dots for the menu). Click on the menu and you'll see a single tab appear, That's the "Advanced". Then just follow the next steps to format the SD. Hope this helps!
My A7 doesn't have the exact same screen- no ADVANCED button. However, I got it set up. I've just reset the tablet because the internal was at 99% capacity and I've installed a new 256GB SD. How do I get apps or even app data (photos, files, downloads, etc) to save to the card instead of internal?

I do have a problem my SD card is in my tablet and it seems to be working fine but everything I try to transfer over to that card it says that it transferred over but it isn't really on that card it's still sitting on my main Drive so I'm losing space quickly on my main Drive even though I supposedly moved all this stuff over to the SD card which shows nothing on it unless it's pictures if I put pictures on it it's there but the picture seem to be on both drives so if I go delete them off of where I don't want them they delete off of the SD card as well and I really could use some help cuz I don't understand I got a game that I love playing but every week they're updating and it's sucking up more and more of my main drive and I really need it on my SD card because it's so much bigger

So everyone knows android 10 and up firmware won't allow you transfer apps on sd card only data ....make these clear mostly all android devices like these now ...so you would need buy device with more storage rather relying on sd.

I used a needle, and it inserted itself deeper than required, and just kept going.... so I had to pull out and use a paper clip instead.

Sd cards are 4 Data! Photos & Doc.s. not apps. Apps have copyright issues. They don't want them transferred 2 storage devices!!
