Yep I thought the price is a bit steep too. The most I'd pay is $75 and I would have to think about it for a couple of days. I would love to buy more USA made stuff but unfortunately I can't afford it.
Not worth the price. Plus for people who use the bed of their truck to haul/slide stuff in and out of the bed, these look like a daily PITA of getting caught/hung up on cargo...looks like you'll have to lift any and all cargo bins over these to get them in the bed...something that was not an issue with the stock rings. I'm surprised the face was not recessed/angled more to alleviate this issue. If the stock rings are seized, was that not something that penetrating oil could've easily fixed? You also increased the strength of the pivot bolt, but just re-used the stock anchor bolt...Is the anchor bolt now the weak point and what is it's tensile/yield strength? If you're hauling serious weight in the bed and need an absolute anchor I could see it's use, but I don't think the cons outweigh the pros, at least for me.
It's a steep price, that's no doubt. I work in a shop that does CNC and I handed these to the owner and he immediately said "These have to be at least $150". There's a ton of work that goes not only into the creation of CNC'd product, but the finishing, polishing, anodizing, etc. I'm sure there's $39 Chinese versions out there though and they do cater to a certain audience.
I've worked in a machine shop. Aluminum is one of quickest metals to machine behind copper/copper alloys but significantly faster than steel (3-4x slower than Al), and Al has a low tool cost (e.g. softer metals wear down tools slower). That part is a very simple design to make in CAD (low R&D) and should be fast to machine (no knurling, complex curves, threading, etc.). A basic robotic polisher can get those polished fast. Since it appears the producer of these isn't using his machines, but rather machines in a shop he's working in...the overhead is low. Even with anodizing, block aluminum cost, and labor I would guess they run sub-$35 each. $100 seems like a fair asking price but definitely not $150. If I still worked in a machine shop I would just do it myself. Not calling anyone a BSer...but I doubt any machine shop owner commented: "These have to be at least $150," it looks like standard work coming out any good shop (meaning, there is nothing special about the finishing on these). I understand the desire for American made goods but just go on Aliexpress and get the same exact thing for probably like $45 total unless $100+ is throw away money for you.
I guess you can also add these tot he front two bed bolts? I can't believe Toyota did not put D-rings up front as well. So many times I cant tie something down from the front. The sliding top side bed rail loops are pretty useless being up at the top.
We get killed in Canada with the exchange rate. These would run me about 260. For the set of two. So, it’s a big forget about it. I’ll remove the standard rings and just paint them orange to be close to my solar octane Toyota

Marketing, websites, etc costs more. Not here to justify them, but giving my educated guess on the manufacturing process, which I do have 1st hand knowledge in

Are there even bolts up front? They would need the same spacing, and the same washer stack to make these work.

Feature wise, it replaced a frozen, rusting steel tie down. Looks wise, hands down better than stock. Price wise, yeah, they're expensive.
