Question sir
Who do you buy your tires from???
TIL- Taylor doesn't really understand what "hand-me-down" means. If YOU bought an upgraded or duplicate tool, it's NOT a hand-me-down, my brother. Everything is looking on point and ready to go for the season. Can't wait to see you out there competing and kickin' ass.
Hey, maybe a little video where you put kart tires or some other pneumatic tires on the tool chest? You know how it is, those things have wheels but they still suck to move.
LOOKS GOOD BUDDY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHEN YOU THINK YOU GOING DO LOFT.....IS THAT LOOKING LIKE A THIS WINTER PROJECT ???? AND OF COURSE $$$$$ IS ALWAYS A FACTOR ON BIG JOBS.
@@ronjones-6977POMB = Piss Out My Bottom
Getting “hand me downs” from yourself is brilliant car guy math.
* *Writes that down* *
looking for this comment. I'm like I don't think that word means what you think it means lol.
I was like man who's giving him all these tools 😂
At least he admitted he didn't need to, but it justifies the choice and does make sense!
LOL my girlfriend doesn't seem to agree with the logic
When I got my RV I got an RV toolset. My wife asked 'If it's so important why isn't there a toolset in my car?'. 😏
'You're right babe!' 😂🤙
I can't imagine how nice it feels to change your tires in your driveway. That's so convenient.
Haha, I was just thinking that.
I bought one of the mayflower tire changers a couple years ago and it was hands down money well spent. It’s saved me on the weekends a couple times when tire shops are closed etc
What's not is when all your family, friends and acquaintances you don't remember every have seen in your life want you to change theirs! 😂
(I say this as I literally just got done mounting my roommates grandma's tires behind sitting down and watching this 😂)
@@commonsenseisdeadin2024 yup, had one myself for about a year. changed other peoples tires more than my own so i sold it.. i'd rather pay some one than listen to the bs sob stories from families and friends begging me to do it.
@@sirmonkey1985 I mean in all actuality, I hope you're changing others tires more than your own, for your wallets sake! 😂
I got rid of mine too ....... Well I yeeted the friends and family.... Tire machine does much more for me then they ever did! 😂
I'm cheaper, but I'm not free! Want free? Then you're going to learn how to do it! I have zero issue with teaching someone something, I will not do it for them though!
Can’t wait for the bus vlog road trip videos
that thing is sweet. me too
So why you need this and the bus? Just curious
@@ikecostner1to take 2 cars

@@thefatninja942 oh good point
Little info. Keep in mind the wheels on the toolbox. Ratcheting them down will make them warp fairly quickly. Putting that much stress on them. Especially when hitting bumps and whatnot while driving. I had to reinforce the bottom where the casters mount for a better weight distribution and go to a all-steel caster. Where there is give, it will get exploited by the slightest movement. You could also add spacers to the back of the tool box and create a mounting point to the wall behind it. Will alleviate a lot of stress needed downwards. Hope that helps. Love the channel and don't miss a vid. 😊
I would agree, but that box is not very loaded. So it might not be as big a problem. Although I have definitely seen what you are talking about.
Block under the sides so you take pressure off the wheels.
I 100% would have installed the box without the wheels, it would have been cabinet height and the issue with the wheels.
I'm fairly sure the point is for the box to be mobile. Can't happen if the box is mounted without wheels. Pretty sure the aim for it to not be permanently mounted is to put it where they need it at an event and have it hop to the bus as necessary. That's why all the bus tools left the bus and ended up in the box in the first place.
@@Tora1337 You can still keep the cart on wheels it is just when tie down... supporting the load so it isn't just on the wheel.
Anyone else notice the “sockets extemsions” label? Haha
Much love Taylor been watching for years!
Pit Pal makes an incredible jack holder. It stores it vertical against the wall with a holder for the handle. It is a good space saver.
I said the same..... That's like the biggest benefit of an aluminum jack! 😂
However I just said to fabricate one himself since he really enjoys doing exactly that!
I hope Taylor has a big announcement coming Thursday. That would be so dope. Taylor driving for RTR would be insane, and I know he has the chops to compete with them. If not this year, maybe next year… but I’m crossing my fingers for some news on Thursday!
Probably going to be Ben Hobson.
If somehow he would be driving for fd he would be registered but he isn’t so that won’t be happening now maybe the future who knows
Yeah from his other videos , he said he wouldn't be trying for pro cause of his family and the price but yeah I have been trying to say this exact same thing but maybe he might go pro spec
He absolutely has the talent to compete (and imo a great chance to actually win, but at minimum will podium season 1!) but I don't think he wants to drive for anyone else, certainly not someone else's car!
I could definitely see Ben doing so as mentioned, I think he would be a perfect fit actually! Ben is a phenomenal driver, it would be awesome to see much more of said driving! 😂
pretty sure he'd have to do pro spec first to get a chance at getting a invitation to pro the next year...
Dude, I've gotta say.. Yours is the only channel I am happy to watch long videos on. You're a cool guy, and I guess the things you choose to be meticulous about versus the things you don't like to spend too much time or effort on pretty much line up with my feelings on it every time, haha
Thanks for all the fun and interesting content! Much love
Dude is awkward AF in real life
cant believe milwaukee STILL haven't reached out to sponsor you after all these years, maybe one day lol
Can't wait for the drag car build... The best series so far was that Vette... I was HOOOKED
Loving the upgrades, at first I was worried that you were doing wheels and tires, and that seemed a bit bling but you did the more down to earth necessary part. Then you have to load it up with tools, and instead of making us suffer through a RAID SHADOW LEGENDS! ad so that you could buy all new things, you went more down to earth and handed down tools to yourself. I have always loved your content, and that is just part of it! Keep up the great content, and for the love of everything holy stay grounded!
You are 1000% right on the tire upgrade, I run a fleet of trailers, and that tire choice is worth every penny.
What is the speed rating on them?
@@jeffsnider1069 M, 81mph on the ones I run
Your gonna love those tires we run the same ones on our construction tool trailer and it makes you feel way more confident knowing you have those heavy duty tires , not to mention the higher mph rating
Had the airline track in a 73 El Camino . Way stronger than it looks. Great Stuff!
Love seeing you fix up, organize and setup tools, boxes, trailers and especially the bus i hope you film the entire process on this new trailer 👍
Where has Josue been?
Some more additional ideas for electrical stuff:
- zip ties
- butt connectors (assorted sizes)
- ring and fork terminals (assorted sizes)
- self tapping screws
- 12v power probe
- heat shrink kit
- electrical tape (assorted colors)
- spare wire (different gauges)
- fuses (assorted sizes)
- soldering iron
You should add carpet to the sides of the trailer, really cuts down on wear marks on the walls, and keeps it looking new.
push broom & place to mount it, jack stands, paper towel rack, place to mount a couple easy-ups...
tables and chairs as well. If you mount airline track on the walls, it is a great and simple way to mount a lot of odd items.
Can not WAIT to see the Miata revamp! That Car is going to end up being the best car on the channel again after you redo it.
Always in for the Trailer/Shop upgrades!
Just wanna say been watching since you first started building your miata and I’ve made an effort to watch every single video since! You’re the only RUclipsr I make sure I watch their uploads. You’ve taught me so much about just working on things and cars and all the good stuff. Just wanted to say I’m grateful you rolled the dice on RUclips and stuck it out for all of us!
Taylor It's amazing to see how far you've come, I started watching rite before the Fummins build and it seems since then it's only been one way ⬆️ Awesome 👌 ☮️

Hey Taylor, ever think about getting a truck bed fuel tank like they do on construction sites to fuel equipment? They are pretty unobtrusive, and have a dedicated pump to make filling up the drift cars much easier. Or maybe an undermount fuel tank on the trailer? Or an undermount fuel tank on the dodge? ..... Or maybe fab one up out of aluminum that you could move between the bus and truck just for a fun aluminum project? Maybe it's overkill, but it seems easier to use, and takes up less space than a bunch of jugs.
Hey this is a cool racing trailer! I'm new here and I live up the street from someone with a similar but older Edge racing hauler behind a Suburban. Parked beside the garage or out front at the curb just like you, same type of jack, weight distributing hitch but one difference the side door is way back near the axles instead of the front corner. It passed me one time on my dashcam (a posted outtake), probably for a similar type of racing weekend and well that's pretty much how I'm here now watching your videos on enclosed haulers. This bumper-pull configuration would seem to be working better for you than the gooseneck version so far! Now you can make tight turns without damaging the cab. I'm loving it, I just wanna point out the safety chains must be crossed when it's time to hit the road
Good tips. I should look at the higher rated tires. I did put pressure and temp sensors on the four trailers tires and so far, they've saved me at least once.
You should make the red bus box, a bus specific maintenance/repair parts and tools
I used to work for a gentleman that built “Rvhaulers” and used that track system to strap down smart cars that were hauled all over the continent. I believe he has videos on his channel about the long term use of those tracks and its various accessories.
That trailer is absolutely sick. Would kill to have one like that. I admire your ability to keep everything somewhat organized and keep everything mint , a lot of love and appreciation goes into your projects. (Coming from me , a hack job lol) Love watching and learning little things from you man. Even if it’s something simple like this video. Hands down one of my favourite RUclipsrs 👍🏻
Love TRay videos! Let’s get some Jibber Jabber Motorsports stickers on the site!
Man, I would add a wood counter top on that at built in work bench. They have unfinished butch block at Lowe’s. Then you won’t damage the nice metal. Wood is nice to attach a vise. I like it cause when it does get gross it can be taken of sanded and refinished like new.
several things that i have done for hand-me-down tool setups is buying individual sockets online for cheap to complete kits aswell as magnetic pads to keep wrenches in relitavle order without organisers. Also I found an adjustable wrench that is actually good. its a locking adjustable basiclly you adjust down to the size you need and then lock it like locking pliers and it makes a world of a difference. the airline track is what they use for seat rails (they are titanium on the aircraft i worked on)
I run 14 ply. Love it lol. Have no issues bc the tires are super over kill. I run suntecks and venom powers!! What’s great with 14 ply, they’re amazing for stationary storage. Helps out much
Your attention to detail is admirable🤙
Smart move on the trailer tires. Cheap insurance in the grand scheme of things. All other reasons aside, just having tire problems is such a headache on the road
I got that exact same toolbox last year for my new trailer and it is fantastic think I will now borrow your track idea for it thanks
I would suggest adding a plug to the outside of the shop with the same plug as the generator so that you can run the trailer / bus AC from "shore power" at home quietly.
Should collab with a company to color match wrap the tow rig to the trailor. That gray is sick and looks great with the chrome and brushed metal
Great functional upgrades Taylor!
That tool box you got looks really nice actually. I will definitely be checking out harbor freight whenever I get my shop cleaned up and organized.
Just a thought Taylor.I had this Jack and used it to lift my 28’ enclosed trailer and it bent the Jack. That said my trailer was not aluminum. After that I kept a steel jack in the trailer for the trailer and a aluminum for the race car. Great video. I’m jealous of that trailer.
Lista USA supplied all of the toolboxes we strapped to pallets that hit the road with us while I was in the Air Force. Those plastic cheap caster wheels are going to break in the first couple pot holes. Even just replacing the casters with high endurance casters from lista and reinforcing the bottom of the tool box will help till you can buy a proper tool box that can be strapped down. Also that toolbox will likely fall forward without anything holding to the wall, because of the single track instead of double.
He explained in the video the reason that he did the 2 to 1 attachment points.... It's not going to fall forward!
If you're whipping around your trailer to the extent of causing a cart to fall forward, the method of how it was secured down IS NOT the issue!
The 'foot pads" of US general boxes are actually pretty beefy. I don't think the casters will experience enough force to fail.... I'm not sure your experience with trailers and having loaded tool boxes, things inside of cabinets or the like but everytime you reach your destination, the shit is not in complete disarray! (Again unless that's untrue for you, the method of how said storage is attached IS NOT the issue!)
This is one of those things that, ON PAPER makes sense but IN PRACTICE just isn't the case!
All that said, it does sound like you have indeed experienced in practice..... HOWEVER I'm betting that said experience in practice was not in an enclosed trailer being towed behind a light duty truck and the contents were also much much heavier...... Would I lose?
Love this, love the practicality
I love HF tool hauls !!!
Get yourself a Predator generator from harbor freight they are just as quiet as the Hondas. I’ve had mine for 5 years with no issues.
I would recommend strapping the toolbox down over the sides, as if you strap it down to the floor, it will overload the wheels
You know I almost always immediately skip past all of the sponsor speeches but yours in the beginning about going down the debt rabbit hole....that hit home!
It is so incredibly easy to go down that path, and it can screw up your financial situation for decades!
I had to declare bankruptcy because of it and that's still on my credit report 🤦
Come on Taylor... Admit it; You didn't miss. You just like smacking us in the face. 😂
All jokes aside, I'm really liking your train of thought with your organizational modifications on the trailer. It's looking sick, and that airline track is a prime choice. So clean and simple. I think I actually prefer it over the traditional track. At least, aesthetically. Nicely done.
Boxo tools need to get Taylor a sponsor asap
love the content dude. been watching for a year or two now and it' so wild to see how far you've come
With the long cable for the trailer, I’d put a plug for it on the side of the shop to, so that you can run a trickle charger to it, and can have power to it whenever you need. Love the videos though, much love
Classic intro ❤
Put copper anti seize on the roller of your lower door hinge of the ram to rid of that squeak!
The tailor looks so clean man and great choice on those tires.
Don't want to get too top heavy. Thanks for your videos!! I bought the same jack and it's heavy as hell.
You should get one of those magnetic shop towel holders for that beautiful toolbox
Always top notch when you do work, thanks for sharing!
Love the Trailer Ray content
As an electrician. The “better for the house” cord” is what you should have used for your feed to the trailer. An 8AWG 3 conductor cable is what you want. Maybe a minimum of a 10AWG.
The trailer looks great
Taylor
Balance your trailer tires.
They’re spinning just as fast as your truck tires ( faster if they’re smaller). That vibration will cause them to fail prematurely. Same for beating up the hubs on your trailer
Either use wheel weights, or some balancing media.
Since I’ve started doing this, my tire failure rate has gone to nearly zero. I either wear them out, or my infrequent use trailer might weather the tires before I replace them.
Those US General items from Harbor Freight are hard to beat for the money. I have a different version of the service cart + a 44 inch roller and top chest. They do handle a lot of weight in heavy use well. Nice gray. I concluded several years ago that labeling my drawers in all my tool cabinets was the smartest thing I had done in a long time.
Hey brotha, I’ve been watching you since I was in HS back in 2014. I never comment but always watch, ik this comment sucks but to put it simply “start working on your health or you wont get wealth”. Much love Taylor.
I miss this style of video going to the store and everything
Looks very nice great job!
The 386 is period of you brother truly an inspiration
Thanks for the efforts!
Oh nice color on the box. I have the tool cart in gray
Ditch the generator all together and go with some LiPo4 batteries, 4 decent panels on the roof, and an all in one inverter. Silence with unlimited track power and AC is the way to go.
Thank you for another great video.
New trailer needs the brand new jack stick with the theme 😅
Make yourself an adaptor and any regular plug in your house or garage will run that AC unit and lights easily. I keep mine plugged into the shop whenever Im home.
I second this. Specially with all the welding outlets that he had put in around the entire shop
Good call on the 14 ply tires. Might want to be aware to cut back back a bit on your trailer brakes in the wet, as the harder compound will lock up quicker…
Don’t be that guy at a racetrack with the super loud generator. Get a quiet one, you will enjoy it later and your neighbors will too.
Also consider getting the 5500 one as you will need the extra power for the generator.
If those are the 14 ply off Amazon they are amazing. I put a set on before our pa to Florida trip to FF in February and they were awesome!
My dad got the same trailer and same color a month ago
That’s a damn nice trailer!
Finally!!😅 I be waiting on content patiently!
Both me and mom love your videos man! ❤
31:30 Ahh yes.... the good ol' Generacket. Everyone at the campsite hates you LOL.
I recently camped out at Sebring Raceway for 4 days for the 12 hours of Sebring and the dude next to us had his Generacket running all night for his camper. Everyone around him was in regular tents so there was no sound chance at proofing. That douche kept everyone around him up all night. After the second sleepless night, someone stole the spark plug off the generator 🤣
Whoever took it is my hero. And yes the owner of the generator was PISSED and was going around asking if they knew who stole it.
My main man ray and his forklift 😂😂😂
It’s also worth getting two spares. I have had to replace two on the side of I40. Glad we had a spare, spare.
I'd agree HOWEVER with 14ply and his load capacity, I doubt he'd ever have 2 go. If he did have a situation where BOTH are punctured at the same time, either A. Tires are likely not what he will need to worry about (2 tires going at the same time would likely be the result of further extensive damages! The first tire will usually "save" the other to the rear if hitting something in the road.) and B. You can drive on one tire down (obviously slower) to make it to a shop to get the others fixed! You're SUPPOSED to (and should) install the spare and immediately go to get the bad tire repaired/replaced. (Which of course many don't and I bet your situation is the same as the following..) you had one blow, then continuing along and the other blew later on... That's extremely common, and is EXACTLY why you should get the bad tire sorted immediately after changing the spare! (You should also rotate your spare in much more frequently (again which commonly people don't! Hell I bet most people never rotate their trailer tires at all!) because a spare with brand new tread being thrown on (typically when someone has a trailer tire failure, the tires are no where near "new" and if the load is substantial, the spare tire may get over loaded because of the greater diameter and cause they to fail in short time!
@@Aduki65 happens here because trailers don't need to be inspected and because a substantial majority of people in this god forsaken country have absolutely no consideration for anything or anyone except for themselves!
@@Aduki65 oh and the reason it seems to happen here more too is because there's 5 times the population and are 40 times the size as the UK!
From what I've seen, trailers over across the pond tend to look like nothing more than a hay wagon!
Do you see anything like Taylor's?

I don't even know a sliver of what's going on in this world but it's truly not hard to see it's just sad..... More so in the disgusting kind of way.... Just to be clear 😂
Sorry kind of went off track and got depressing.....
What I mean about no consideration is people have absolutely zero issue with pushing the limits especially when it "saves" a few bucks! Are trailers are huge, they are heavy and often over loaded and have zero qualms going a high rate of speed! (Many blowouts are because too much weight, too fast of rotation and improbably aired! Not to mention we're deemed illegal 2/32's ago! 😂 (I don't know how you guys measure tread depth, considering when it comes to tires (or tyres! That I know 🤣 but here basic mathematics and measurements are cast aside, obviously you're are sized 1. A metric system 2. Aspect ratio (percentage) and then 3. Imperial system. Here tread is measured in 32nds, 2/32 is not considered 1/16"! Same goes with 4,6,8,10,12 thirty seconds! 😂.... Not that it matters at all, the imperial system as a whole is dumb and mostly makes zero sense! Such is life! 🤣😂🤣😂😁😬🙂😞😭
Completely forgot to say the reason I went down the last rabbit hole (ADHD is the reason for that 😂)
But I mentioned tread depth because the joke I was making is the lowest legal limit of tread on tires IS 2/32"s...... (BaDumTss)
I'm a sucker for trailer videos!
I’d get a couple cheap porta power hydraulic ram kits to keep in the trailer and home garage. They come in handy for straightening light structural damage and heavy sheet metal damage if you happen to bin it in a wall or a heavy hit from another driver. Tons of uses for them.
The sponsor segment info is a good warning young people/kids. Don’t forget what ever reason go into debt for a hobby. Your car upgrades can wait till you save a little more.

A huge amount of the sound from a generator doesn't come from the exhaust, it's mechanical.
Keep up this level of quality work and you’ll become known as “Trailer Ray”, lol.
As always Taylor…….👍👍🇺🇸🏁🇺🇸🏁
I’ve always wondered why people don’t add mufflers to their loud-ass generators. It’s not hard to do. Especially folks who do fab work in vehicles!
First time I mounted 14 plys I was flabbergasted at the difference from 10 plys
I had a bad experience with the Castlerock tires on my travel trailer....the first trip out I had one come apart on me. I found the closest tire shop off the highway and replaced them all.

Tires are the best thing you can do on your rig. My dad has had to replace the front clip of our toterhome twice now because of not replacing tires and having them explode
Probably be a good idea to put a walk-in fridge flap door to keep the colder air in the trailer. Just a thought.
