Didn't know how cool the world of railways is, I haven't been interested in trains since I was like 5 years old, but I just found your channel and I think I'm hooked now, this time as an adult. I've watched a couple of your videos (found your hump yard video first after seeing that sign on some cars, it was very interesting) and this is some great content. My favorite fishing spot is actually just a quarter mile south of a yard on a mainline, so I guess I'll start paying attention to the trains that go by while I'm waiting for the fish to bite. Thanks for introducing me to this part of our complex world that I was ignoring! P.S. - this pumpkin paint job is the main one I see around here! I believe BNSF owns most of the tracks around here so I suppose that makes sense. When I think of a locomotive, this is the paint job that appears in my mind's eye.
Here in tx it’s UP, ferromex, bnsf, KCS, and I see CSX, CN and sometimes even Canadian pacifics wondering around as far as an hour from the coast. In Houston you will see super foreign railway motive power everywhere.
Nice video, as a BNSF employee these are showing up more and more from being in storage, true 6 axle powered units, not new WDMC, most engineers prefer these, dam your first time seeing the heritage 1 paint scheme. 👍🏼
Interesting catches! I live along a BNSF line and whenever I see an H1 it always makes me feel happy since it’s about the only mainline variety left on BNSF nowadays!
Just a heads up but I've been seeing a ton of foreign power here in Savannah. As far as I can tell there's been a UP lash-up making rounds on 191 and 192
Hey great video my man, you really know your stuff, that’s why I enjoy watching your videos. Always learn a new thing or two about the railroad from ya. Thanks for posting 👍🏼😁🇺🇸
If you want to see something special, look up BNSF’s “Great Pumpkin”. It’s one of a few experimental paint schemes, and my favorite of them all. The only engine still wearing it is unfortunately interred in the Northtown deadlines, but it may see service again as BNSF has been reactivating quite a few older engines as of recently.
I live on the BNSF Fallbridge Sub and the BNSF employees have their own nickname for UP that I learned "The big yellow slugs". We mainly see H2 and H3 where I am, but my favourite by far is the Dash-9 H1 schemes. I also loved seeing the Talgo 6/8 Cascades Trains. Some of the dirtiest trains on the inside though.
Nice video I really like it and I’ve seen some BNSF At Fruiteige road in Sacramento California on U.P.R.R. Fresno Sub also at Elvas wye In Sacramento California and at 28th street In Sacramento on U.P.R.R Martinez Sub
Great video as always. Happy Halloween. Plenty of railfans went chasing that NS 153 that day. Got a bit of everything that day as well. I've seen many BNSF pumpkins over the years. Only recent getting my first BNSF Heritage I Dash 9-44CW leader in late September leading NS 26C (Ex NS 282). Interestingly at CP Bridge as well and it being BNSF 987 which I've seen trailing last year in Duluth before it had PTC added to it.
Great video I'm on that rail daily heading from bham to Atlanta then back. One day I've got a feeling ill be a "star' on your channel. If I so see you abs recognize you I'll give you a good horn show.
Does anyone know the reason for the gullwing roof design on the BNSF -9, it's an actual Santa Fe spec only and the former Santa Fe -8's has it as well and the gullwing roof was for a reason.
I've only really done my railfanning on the east coast, aside from a trip to the Bay Area in California. I'd certainly like to experience some other parts of the US.
Well, in a few weeks we will see if you can still capture engines on the move. It is my hope that the strike happens and lasts for a good long time. The American worker does not know how much power they have. All they need to do is squeeze. From the perspective of seeing so much foreign power on these lines, why not nationalize the rail system? It seems that in theory we are there anyway.
Great video! I am kinda new to railfanning, and I know about the concept of foreign power, but I am curious if you know more about that one BNSF with the office(?) cars. Seems odd since that would actually be a BNSF train, correct?
KCS / CP Railroad bought a Lot of the BNSF Units in 2022 and they were Marked with “KCS” to Save $’s. UP decided to Spend Millions to re-Paint Fleet. 🤪👎
In the 60’s and 70’s I remember Burlington northern being green
There was an accident at Paradise, PA on the Strasburg RR causing N&W 475 to plow into a crane and causing damage to the front of it.
We really don't see any of those pumpkins down here in Savannah.

Norfolk southern as well. I think on my channel I caught all of those apart from the Canadian and KCS all in one day at the same spot.
Interesting. We don't see too much Ferromex here in ATL. I've only ever seen one.

I love the BNSF Pumpkin trains
I can see why that is a good train watching site, so many trains! Love your videos. A very professionally presentation!!
Thank you!
Ah yes, CP Bridge, where it practically all started for me as a railfan. Great video!
Thanks!
First time i saw a BNSF paint scheme was in Utah traveling in the desert from Heber City to Arches National Park. Quite a neat place to see a train.
Saw one in norcross - in fact it was one of the ones in this video, 1116
Do you see a lot of CSX trains like the old school ones if you can like post more about CSX because I like to see that and also I like to see the cp
Interesting catches! I live along a BNSF line and whenever I see an H1 it always makes me feel happy since it’s about the only mainline variety left on BNSF nowadays!
Very good post thanks!
V12 have you heard about the 475 incident that happened sometime this morning from what I just heard moments ago
Another good one. Thanks.

Its kinda cool seeing the older liverys of railways still around, like Santa Fe's yellow and blue paint scheme.
Believe it or not, the first Yellow/Blue Santa Fe locomotive I have ever saw was in Nashville, TN of all places!

I saw one trailing in a NS manifest a few weeks ago and the H1 loco I saw was numbered 1095

Love your stuff come north to Minnesota
Excellent footage sir 😎👍🏻

I've seen a H1 C44-9W myself in Illinois
They used to show up in Rochelle all the time.

I think the Heritage 2 is the best looking of the BNSF paint schemes.

From what I've read it was to meet clearance restrictions at a coal loadout in New Mexico.
@@v12productions Correct
Is it me or does the ending mean that V12 Productions is a ghost?
When i think of black cats i thinks of Moxie
Amazing quick question what’s your fav coast to railfan west east north or south coast

"LIKE" button torqued to manufacturer's recommended specification. "CLICK"
2 h1s that's pretty cool and they are after the BN executive units

Thanks! That BNSF office car train was here in GA transporting execs to the Masters golf tournament in August, GA. Very rare to see it here.
@@v12productions Thanks for the answer!
What street is that crossing?
Parrott Avenue
Great video! It’s fun getting H1 engines, especially 2 of them. By the way what camera do you use for video?
Thanks! I use a Sony NX80 as my main camera and also a GoPro Hero 7.
Nice my friend
Thanks!
