Thank you! I think I understand now. I can’t wait to head out to my knife throwing target in the morning to give it a try. I know it’s been said; but you make it look so easy, while looking so cool.
Thank you for these explanations! I never managed to completely understand what Fedin meant, I thnk I better understand now :-) I am afraid that after a 2-3 years break, blades will again fly in my garden ;-)
😂 I've always loved throwing my stars/blades in this manor, but never knew the specifics and what it was called. Thank you!!!!! Great video! 🔪 Respect from a Pole in the U.S.. 😎 P.S. I'm pretty good even walking or fast moves!
@@samothchipmah2407 Never took a video of it. I'll have to! Just moved so haven't set up my new area yet. Just have photos of my finished target. Started throwing again since kids are older and i finally have time to practice like years before. Will gladly share once done though!
Hard to say. There are many wrong, or ineffective ways to do no spin and imo just one right way. About like I throw in the last video. I threw for years complete different, to change that takes again years. Now I think I am complete reprogrammed in the reflex part of the brain. So it is important to start the right way, but without teacher how will you know. Some are lucky, but most do it wrong. The arm whip ist the key. Dont use your arm. Move the arm with shoulder forward and backward motion. It comes out oft the body, the arm muscles stay INACTIVE. Thats the key. Try that with knife in the hand, but no throwing. Just focus how the arm follows the shoulder like a rope. All without force or fast motions. it is actually like the baseball pitcher, javelin, volleyball serve, or the stoneskip pros. All work with relaxed arm
I’m having pretty good success close to the target but things get bad quick as I slowly move back. Any suggestions how to get more distance? Are the movement the same at different distances just different release point?
Release point does not really change. Best is when nothing changes drastically. Means the rotation tends to zero when everything is good. Only at the beginning a quarter spin then stop. you can see that in some of my last videos from the side. You have to join instinctive knife throwers on facebook and post videos. you will see many throwers and get tips
yes of course. with the index you transport all the energy in the knife. it has to be absolute stable and i also close it while the release to accelerate the knife.
Hey Tom , this is indeed afine explenations . I am stolp searching on you tube for the 60 sec. Footage with the guy who was showing where a big chunk "raw power"was generated . Altough I Saw a lot of popular ,knowed(by me) trowers bud also a bunch very diverse lees "campus . And it must be there .....lucky that I"m not at the end . For this (oops)night it is enough. I"had here (sorry for not correct spelling) that there is a worldcompetition in Russia . Good luck Reinhardt

@@Decentralized_Maze Great. tell me when you got one
I STARTED THROWING IN MAY SOMETIMES I CAN THROW SOMETHIES I CAN'T.WHAT DO I NEED TO FOCUS ON THE MOST?

I've been experimenting with different kinds of throws, because I broke my shoulder a few weeks back(not my throwing arm thank god)

good video. do you pay attention to index finger while keeping wrist locked at release?
yes of course. with the index you transport all the energy in the knife. it has to be absolute stable and i also close it while the release to accelerate the knife.

Youre volume is not loud enough . For the rest you are the best. Greetings Dirk Reinhardt
Thanks, on pc you can make loud enough normally. I know it is too silent.
Awesome tutorial! What knives are you using here? I would like to get some of the same ones...
+Richard quimby thank you. they are designed by me but you can buy them. where are you from?
thanks!

Can the Fedin technique be used throwing overhand?
No, the wave is done with body rotation. Only works when you angle your arm.
огого !!! спасибо !
