Catch BIG KINGFISH With BIG LIVE BAIT on a Hand Line - Smoke the Belly!

- Head up the coast with @Fishingreminder for a couple of fishing trips.
First fishing trip was an afternoon fish with the drone for a nice snapper on the 2nd set.
Second mission was an early morning trip up the coast to see if there were any Kingfish hanging around.
Keen to get Mark and Hyeshin on to a yellowtail kingfish with the hand line. Some great footage by Mark with the drone and GoPro ended up getting some awesome shots for an EPIC catch!
We were not disappointed!
Head back to the camp to fillet the fish and prepare the Weber for smoking the tasty kingfish belly flap and to eat with some homemade lemon dill and garlic pikipiko.

Awesome edit Mike! Love it. We have to do it again sometime, haha. It was such a good day and so much fun collaborating with you. You really captured the essence and vibe of the day in your edit. Catching a monster kingfish like that on a handline - it doesn't get any better than that. And your fish-smoking skills with the weber are out of this world. Awesome cook up bro always bought up that way no waste . You did right tho bro with fish eggs raws,but, put it in boil water for 10second first or so and than take it out and straight into cold icy water for 20second dry water out with paper towel and in to the pan ❤ you got the idea tho bro awesome! kai

I had to have a look Tim, that's pine tree logging to send to China. A lot of forestry blocks around and heaps of trucks laden with logs going to the ports.

Thanks Mark, dunno I did think that but that balloon went under with the kingy on. They are surprisingly easy to bring in on the plane, especially with the hook in his gut.. but that was too easy

I wanna make a handline setup like this, i mean i have the proper rod for land based kingies but want to try handline and not having have to bring a separate rod gor kingies, i just wanna know what type of rope or thickness and how you connect the leader to main line, cheers
