B.Y.O.B." ("Bring Your Own Bombs") is a song by American heavy metal band System of a Down. It was released in March 2005 as the lead single from their fourth album Mezmerize. Like their earlier song "Boom!", it was written in protest against the Iraq War.[2] The song reached number 27 on the US Billboard Hot 100, the band's highest peak to date on the chart.

Bring your own bombs is a ferocious attack to the Bush government. SOAD is a band that has Armenian origins and always speaks of important(political) themes. Other songs with over 1 billion views are Toxicity and Chop Suey. Absolutely bangers!
Fun fact: soad guitarist Daron Malakian once played Rammstein at a concert instead of Paul Landers

I like the satiric part about party blowing the sunshine. It shows how ppl dont take serious the war. Simply chilling in desert, sometimes launching fireworks, blowing someone houses up, you know, just a regular Monday.
You should definetely get into their discography.. this band doesn have a bad song PROMISE ! Question!l Deer Dance, Spider, WAR? , Chop Suey, Toxicity and list goes on...

I'm going to be 100% honest here and say that my bias almost got the best of me when coming across this video. The flag background on the vid and the profile pic made me wary since that's often not a great sign with the reactions to this song. B.y.o.b bring your own bombs. This song talks about how the government treats war like a party, hyping it up. Without mentioning the pain and hardship you go through. Twisting your intentions to protect and serve. And forcing you to do unspeakable things while your there.

I recommend that you do "Sugar" by system of a down next. I think you will very much agree with the message of that song also. Btw, they were an Armenian - American band. And their lead singer is now doing mostly opera.
Oh and you can easily skip their song "Chop Suey". People will suggest it, but it is very over rated. Not worth it in my opinion. Those who will suggest it, don't even know what it's about. I guarantee you that.

The real message of the song (as displayed by the catchy, upbeat chorus) is the PEOPLE keeping their heads in the sand of the reality of the world around them. People would rather ignore the plight and corruption so long as they are enjoying themselves. "Where the fuck are you" is directed towards us, the people, who allow such governments to grow and control. We need to wake up and stop hiding behind our comfort! After all, when the time comes, it's US they'll send to do their bidding. Not just poor in value, but poor in values, too. Compliance is the death of liberty.
