    "Everyone has had a chance to do explore the Idris"... I have tried over and over and over and over, yet every single time the mission glitches, the servers die, the missions get stuck, the ships don't appear, nobody is doing the mission, etc etc. Really annoying, and honestly a terrible experience because of it.

      Well, we stayed persistent and today we finally managed complete the missions and steal the Idris then fly it around with a whole bunch of players. When it works, it's great! But definitely some serious issues with the whole game currently.

      SoO never works very well. The whole barge glitches out and vanishes and so many other event breaking issues. Why would any event work well when the basic game with no events isnt even on a consistant path?

    Agree with the XT issues. If the servers were not so bad, it would be plenty of time to do this event.
    I have only done it once and that was thanks to 1 player clearing it by the skin of their teeth.

    The hornet was OP because of the strafe. Master-modes needs changes or rather the ships need tuning. It would be nice if it didn’t fee so clunky..
    Power creep is a problem in MMO’s always have been, when you introduce stuff the way that MMO’s and iterative games do you always have power creep to generate hype or in star citizens case Sales!
    It would be nice if they could fix the hud, add the parts of star map they showed us at citcon.. as it stands we have a refreshed looking star map that still has the same issues.
    Atmospheric flight still needs work but in my opinion of the implement it in the way that I’d like to see as a more sim based model.. people will hate it as it may fly more like DCS..

    When they talked about the crossbow, they said that the biggest bottleneck was them wanting the bolts to stay permanently in things rather than disappearing after a while like bullets do. If that's the case, then that would be exactly the same bottleneck stopping mines from being in the game. Also, I'm sure (hoping, anyway) that players who will put mines EVERYWHERE is also a concern for them.

    Seeing RMG was a pleasant surprise in replace of saltnpeppermiguel for this one but i feel cronce's audio was a lil loud but it might just be me.

    @croncy I think you are partially correct. I think the event will pop before patch like you said, but we will "take the fight to them" by going through the Jumpgate and fight the Idris on the other side of the gate.

    Static server meshing working well in Pax Dei. It is slightly laggy when you cross the server boundary but it works well.

    I want to see Player Created Missions. As Red was saying, people that love mining have to eventually transport it. They should have the option to either pay people to transport it or sell it to players that can make money by transporting it to another site to sell.

    I don't care what the patch number is. I care about the sleazy way of them padding content. Name the patch whatever they want. 3.24, 3.25, I don't care. But just keep in mind that 3.24 is the things that were SUPPOSED to come out at 3.23. So if they go pat themselves on the back and claim they released TWO major patches this year, I'm gonna be mad.
    Because:
    1: They didn't. They split one patch into two.
    2: The feature that a lot of people were looking for, Unique Item Recovery, is not making it to 3.24. So you're not even getting 100% of 3.23 + 3.24 (which was originally just supposed to be 3.23).

    The problem i have with the name change is that i feel like its being setup to be the end of Q3 patch even though CIG is still stating that 4.0 isnt delayed due to 3.24 and 3.24 isnt delayed also... they insult my intelligence, 3.23.2 was already delayed from 3.23 main patch...
    In one of the CIG shows this week it was mentioned that in 2 weeks he will be featuring 3.24 cargo/missions, so we know it will be at least mid july for 3.24 in theory at the earliest and thats already mid Q3.
    When it was supposed to be in the Q2 patch.
    Mark my words, 3.24 end of Q3 and 4.0 pushed waay back,
    Personally i only care about 4.0 but in reality i only care about Server meshing, anything that delays that instantly becomes my enemy.
    I made a pledge to myself in 2020 when they missed the "server meshing by end of year" claim, no money till server meshing..... ive been sticking to that so far but honestly i didnt think it was gonna take 3 1/2 years.

    Overdrive had a lot of issues. I disagree with it being "Great for a group", because it ended up being WAY easier to solo most of, or two-man at best. The server missions scaled up enemy spawns based on group size - the second our group dropped down to two-man's (One in server room, one running for codes), we wiped the whole lot of them in less than 2 hours. And then the actually Incursion missions - Took an eclipse out, dropped the hammerheads, flew back to station, switched to fighter, killed the rest of the NPC's. There wasn't much incentive to group up.

    I loved the SPK game loop before 3.23 downdate. The devs are taking the game in a all new direction called cater to noobs. CIG created unintended gameplay that was fun if u knew what to do. LoL I used the tools the game provided and the devs were so mad they messed up the whole game cuz I killed them. 😂😂😂

    At this point in development server meshing should be done on a weekly basis. IMO server meshing patch will be pushed and if it doesnt, then its gonna be a bad time

    Haven't followed enough are they on track for base building this year? I remember Chris said it was coming within 12 months of Citcon or something.
    Somehow I feel that someone is gonna call me stupid for believing the head of the studio's words lol.

      Work began in January and the March monthly report mentioned continuing pre-production so IMO it probably won’t be out this year but maybe they’ll show something at CitizenCon.

      My impression was that everything else in display would be due by then, except base building where they said they were beginning work in January, and monthly reports show that. I don't think it was included in his claim.

    Mining: There is an entire tier missing from mining. First tier is breaking up rocks for direct deposit (hand / ROC mining). Second tier is breaking up asteroids/meteorites into harvestable pieces. This tier is still in development. Rocks used to have more of a personality, requiring finesse and panning of the laser along weak fracture lines to build up energy. I haven't seen that in a while. The third tier was introduced when CIG went in-depth on the gameplay surrounding the Orion, which may very well be part of the Arrastra game loop as well. This requires scanning an asteroid for pockets of gas (instability), using a scalpel laser to break it up without causing an explosion, and finally breaking it up into harvestable pieces. Scanning was proposed to be done through on-ship hardware and purpose-built missiles.
    In addition to this, Drones will take up an important role of navigation/scanning/triage for mining. We aren't even remotely close to completing the mining gameplay loop.
    Other things I'd like to see:
    >Player-created beacons for mining resources (tie-in for base building)
    >Contract missions for resources prior, during, and post major events. In other words, building up defenses, supplying material for defenses and humanitarian relief, rebuilding damaged superstructures and ships in their roster.
    >Org-based pooling of materials for Org-based goals. This would address larger org base-building, major contracts for entire worlds that can only be picked up by an org, and faction/quantum mechanics.
    >Match cargo hauling reputation. Make it individual, faction, and org. Give discounts on refining and bonuses on sales for higher reputation. Make reputation so factions/worlds will seek out players/orgs for unique missions. You start off looking at a mission board and end up with requiring a receptionist to sort the demand for your services.

    The 2nd sm test went great I don't know where you got your info from I was on shard 070 for hours without a server crash and so were the streamers including Astro Pub.

    i just feel they are now on the deadline of you have to release simply for investors now. given their recent uk financials and seeing investors say we give you another 6 months in essence before we collect, this winter holiday this game comes out good bad or ugly. sadly.

      The Calders theoretically can exercise their put option in 6 months, but more likely they'll want a piece of the revenue from Squadron 42. In order to receive a piece of that, they'll need to wait until the 1st quarter of 2028 which is the last time they can trigger the put option. So the hard deadline is in 3 1/2 years.

    I want to know when the the bugs will stop... So many bugs that stop you flyuing your ship who cares about new shit. After every patch the servers seem to die quick so how about that is fixed first.

    It already has a short range, fires slow... reloads locking your "loaded" bolt as the next thing that must be fired... so no.. they don't need "Crossbow glint". That's STUPID.
    And no... not necessarily quiet as far as the kill is concerned. It should have different loadouts where it can carry explosive or even timed explosive bolts.

    I have to disagree with you here... sort of. You did say it was "harder"... but I noticed even you stopped yourself short of saying it was "impossible".
    So I put to you that aside from tuning the guns incorrectly.. it's basically every bit what it needs to be.
    You will have what.. 10-20 people on or operating from that thing at any given time. That's hundreds of hours potentially... in prep. If they show up to do a little "diplomacy"... it needs to be basically their choice if they lose it or not. They should always be able to just "leave" unless someone shows up with... more diplomacy.
    But small ships? No. Small ships can't haul around a foot of armor thickness. But the Idris can.
    So the TTK on that thing should probably be half an hour or so. Like it is.

    Yup... it should maneuver like a pig and it should take a great deal of skill and restraint to fly it at all. Full stick deflections... should not be rewarded with that thing.

    Server Meshing tests are a joke and a failure. Try to guess why we are getting 3.24. Because 4.0 is nowhere near completion, SM is nowhere near ready, and yeah, prepare yourself to see 4.0 being pushed to Q4 and then early next year.

      @@pawe6199 they do this to keep the hype train going. The devs will probably say something like "best case estimate is 6 months, but likely 9 or 12" and then chris and the upper management are like "okay let's go with 5, because it lines up with our next sales event!"
