      Your favorite dunk when he puts it behind his head, Scottie is wearing the same shoes as Mike! Scottie took over & wore Js after Mike's 1st retirement in 94. He's the reason I bought the 10s in White Black

      You should make a series of Man on Man Dunks and rate players out of series videos of player. No cherry picking dunks when there is no one to contest. If a dunk was made without defender inside the lower key or anywhere else like fast break lone dunks not show those. Just dunks involving defender on spot plays of dunks...

      Believe Kobe Bryant be the top dog of man vs man dunks due to more players contesting him of his MJ persona style. MJ s later years in NBA, he was not being defended as much of dunks..

      Awesome vid. 22:04 to answer your wonder - the reason MJ can still get that dunk is his ability to palm the ball which helps him manipulate the ball in air. So even when you're there with him, he can angle the ball or move the ball left or right on you.

    Kids!!! This is How You Move "Without" the Ball!!! Watch Mike before he gets the pass back, he's moving, rolling thru the screen, & creating a mismatch. Well really, everyone was a mismatch, he's making scoring (life) Easier! In Mike we trust

    • @meg-k-waldren
      @meg-k-waldren 2 года назад

      Yep. Today's NBA is pound the ball to oblivion. The craziest moment was at a post game podium where Coach Carlisle actually was boastful of NBA coaches no longer having to run plays and teams not really having structured offenses like Triangle, Motion etc. That pick & roll is as structured as it needs to be. In my head I was thinking, "then WTF are we paying you for?"

    Mike is the greatest! Anyone who disagrees with that fact clearly never saw him play live, or even on TV for that matter. He had speed, grace, Power, & always worked harder than anyone else to be the best. He loved competition, when there was none, he left for baseball. Came back from retirement to prove he was still the greatest! If he didn't retire, would have had 8 Ships Minimum. 6for6 with 6 MVP's. Only had to play 1 game 7 & that was in the East finals against a stacked Pacers Team(look up roster)

    I actually prefer Michael’s build in 95-96, I always felt he was too thin before that. 95-96 he was nicely solid but I never felt like it effected his hang time. He had some absolutely gorgeous dunks against IND and then against SEA in the finals. I just felt in the second 3 peat overall, he was just more tuned into his energy levels, so he dunked more casually most of the time. But now and then he’d turn the jets back up. I don’t think he actually lost much, just using his body with more intelligence. His dunks were also a lot more practical, more about the bucket as opposed to statements.

    I had been watching MJ soar since the late 80s(was born in 81) and I remember seeing these highlights thinking, “he’s old now, he can barely dunk”

      MJ would’ve been mvp caliber for at least 5 more years...his first year in Washington at 38/39 he was entering the MVP conversation right before the knee injury. MJ joined the 19 win Wiz with no help other than young rip. They started off 2-9 and ended up 26-21 when he got injured. He was averaging 26/6/5 @44% his last 15 games before the injury.

      @Zu Qu it’s a shame MJ retired those 2 times in his prime...his numbers would’ve been untouchable in a 15 year career...if he played 20 straight years the numbers would be untouchable from points to steals all defensive and all nba teams. If he didn’t have to get his body ready to play for almost half the season from a 3 year retirement he would’ve been on pace to win the mvp at 39.

    I think this was actually the 95-96 season. That was the old Jazz court. They changed it in 97.

    • @1regularperson
      @1regularperson 3 года назад

      This was actually the 96-97 season, because MJ had on the white and red 12’s, the court had the “NBA at 50” logo on it (like every other court in the league during that season), and the Jazz were wearing their then-new uniforms with the mountaintop on the front of the jerseys. They just hadn’t quite yet brought out the new design on their court in Utah.

    I can't believe you didn't select 8:16 - it's like those 91 & 92 clean-leaner dunks where he just flushes it quick and it pops off the shoulder.
    Honestly this may be a top 5 dunk for me second three peat.
    it's one of those simple style Jordan dunks that no one else can truly imitate.

    Nice vid, someone recently made a vid of every dunk of VC with the Raptors, that got me wondering if you can do every dunk of Jordan in the 80's (whatever is available), that would be so epic 😲

    This may not be relevant to what you want to know for feedback,but I love those sneakers he was playing in.It makes him look so classy when he's out there on the court.All he needed was a tuxedo to complete the outfit.
    I recon he could of played in one because no one could barely touch him anyway...but he definetely earn't that privilege to be honest!
