I remember when my kids picked this to watch on Netflix. I was expecting a regular, cutsey, kids movie. Half way through, I was fully engrossed into it myself! I love this movie!
This movie just gave a depth of true emotion and storytelling a lot of movies do not give anymore these days. What really gets me is how much Mune loved and knew glimmer, that when resculping her he remembered every little detail of her. A true love he could never forget. ❤ (The payoff with the last kiss and their teary eyes, ugh so good. 👌)
I remember watching this in highschool, watched it about 4 times and I got into the small fandom it had for roughly 2 months before I drifted away from it. I still won't forget the movie, it feels like a Disney/Pixar movie except it isn't.
I love this movie, this amount of world-building they do, showing how it all works using a unique idea opens doors for good story telling and the characters are great, the main trio having good chemistry that makes each scene with Mune, Glim and Sohone enjoyable. And this ending is the perfect way to end this movie, the soundtrack and the visuals makes it wrap everything up nicely. I saw this movie when I was in college, studying film, and I knew just after I finished watching, that this movie is my favourite animated film that wasn't made by Pixar or Dreamworks. 🌙 ☀

I watched this beautiful master piece like 5 times and that i became a fanboy in a snap of a finger, i even started doing fanarts of him, the thing that came to my mind is that, to make this movie not only amazing and beautiful and interesting, it would be cool to add 2 angels who have a crush on each other, one angel is male and is from night, and the other is female and is from day, the moon angel is Mune's brother while the sun angel is Sohone's sister😁. It is just my idea
Mune and Glim are so adorable together. 😍😁 This movie and their relationship is beautiful. 🥰 I believe that while the piece of moon played a part in bringing Glim back to life, I reckon that Mune gave her a piece to symbolise that a part of him would always be with her. He probably didn't realise that it would be the thing that saved her.
Actually, when Phospho unfroze her from the pond to the underworld he also used his powers to make her wax stronger. Only if in direct contact with the sun would she melt like before, and only in VERY extreme cold temperatures would she freeze (the second part is just me guessing, but the first part is true for certain).
@@avyrose7796 you are right, at night the temperatures are unspeakably cold, same for day time, but with the moon and sun's light combined, it gave glim the resistance towards extreme heat and cold, also, she did mention that she was mixed, she is from dawn and dusk

This movie is such a masterpiece! I watched it in elementary school and loved it so much! I actually have a fantasy story based on Glimm now, and my art style has taken some very clear inspirations from it!
What was missing for the moment, is that right at the moment of the kiss, a meteorite fell in the distance without them noticing. only for that in the post credits scene, a dark and evil force came out of there.

Lack of advertisement caused it to be a box office flop, barely getting back the budget used to make it. I don’t think a sequel will come because of this :(
It's a pity they didn't make one because the story has great sequel potential. I could see Mune, Glim and Sahone going on other adventures together. 😁 I'd personally love to see more of Mune and Glim's relationship and see them grow as both as a couple and possibly as a team in guarding the moon together. 🥰 Who knows...maybe they could set the story many years later and see Mune and Glim married and raising a family together. Maybe Sahone has a child of his own with his own special lady (or perhaps he's a single parent). Maybe it could focus on Mune and Glim's eldest child (I'm thinking a daughter) and Sahone's child (perhaps a son) trying to prove they have what it takes to be their parent's successor as guardians. Or possibly them going on a quest of their own, e.g saving a younger sibling and/or saving the world from evil. Maybe they could be rivals who eventually become friends. Maybe the Mune/Glim child and a Sahone child if they're teenagers could even become a romantic couple for if it's established right.

Other people say that Glim wont freeze or melt . But for me she'll still melt when she's exposed too much in the sun or too much close to the heat she'll still freeze unless she's angry, sad, and scared . Same when she's in under water she'll still freeze unless she's angry, sad, and scared also she'll freeze when she will say I want to sleep. Thats my opinion.
@@reynsbasement2654, that would be a interesting race to play in a PPRPG. They would have to carry around a heat source to move at night or cold, plus something cold to be in full sunlight. Oh, and they could be immune to petrifaction/Polymorph but they could change shape like changelings at every short rest. So Sweet!
