Two very sorted disco as always on this channel. I just love the how well the tdi with vnt and auto works. No doubt loads of r&d went into getting it dailed in. And the suspension is on another level. So far removed from a stocker yet still true to the original. Ratios on the D2 great for crawling and also the pilot understands the Td5 quirks-no stalling. As always making these tracks looks easy, as we all know the camera makes it look easy. Okay, that’s enough brown nosing for one day. Great content. Greeting from Shitsville 🇿🇦
Haha I still stall the d2 plenty but im definitely getting more in tune with the throttle and clutch. A little more seat time will help. You are spot on about the D1, its a weapon that's a pleasure to watch.
I had a giggle because I posted my comment early into the video and after posting you stalled it. 😁. Your D2 is a weapon too, looks twin locked ect. Did you do diff ratios on it or TC? It does very well for a 2.5t heffalump.
😁 yeah that little accessory belt chirp to let you know you’ve been defeated. I have a totally standard(only stage1 map) Td5 auto, it’s such a astronomical pain in the ass on the road with the high stall torque converter. Off road is the place where the high stall works though.
Love the bar work on the purple Disco. A little constructive critique. The driver could use a little more momentum at the right time. Trying to crawl too much. The LC is a beast. Give it some moxy.
Allisport VNT turbo, custom 4 link rear end with superior engineering super flex arms up front and 13 inch shocks. All a work in progress I'm still not completely happy with the engine performance and still smoothing out the suspension.
@@gabrielcooper7790 are you still using the standard manifolds aswell if so there's a guy here in the UK making some cracking hiflow inlet and exhaust manifolds have a look for Bezbomb fabrication he is on Facebook and instagram he's building a 200tdi with the view of many hundreds of bhp I think his target is 500 so he's built a fully lightened and balanced bottom end bigger cam fully ported and polished head full arp studs etc custom hiflow manifolds and a Holset turbo, the manifolds look the muts nuts
@@alex79buckland no I don't think the EDC was released in Australia, I've got a boost pin and ring for the pump, I increased the fuel and slightly advanced the timing, electric fuel pump, VNT turbo, twin inlet manifold and 3 inch exhaust. It's quite smokey at the moment I think I need new injectors. It's got 2.8 injectors but I'll be going back to standard
Every time, that purple beasty never fails to impress.
Great drives by both you blokes.
Cheers for sharing.
Great video as always. Love seeing the fellow landys out climbing everything
some BEAUTIFUL flex shots on this one!!!!!!! nice job!!!!!
I'm from brazil , your vehicles is amazing machines , thanks for everything
Brand of the bullbar on the d1 or is it custom
Greetings from a 3 x LR owner from Lithuania! Very professional driving and footage, always glad to see a notification from LROR :-)
Thanks for watching we had some good climbes. I hope all is well in Lithuania 👍
That d1 looks very capable! I’m going to have to get twin lockers on mine
You wont be disappointed with lockers, just be sure to upgrade your half shafts as a minimum.
That Land Rover Discovery can walk!!
Thanks for posting a great video.
You're welcome 👍
Some nice technical driving👌🙂

Just diff gears atm, tc reductions would be very welcomed considering the low down torque she has 😂

You're definitely right, I'm still learning to drive it and it was very wet when we were there
What springs and shocks are on the D1?
The D1 has the look with pretty hair and makeup but holy shit it looks like it's a beast offroad as well.
How did the d2 do better in some obstacles even though d1 has more flex and longer travel??
Mostly different lines.
What tyres are you running on the discos please ..great stuff as usual..keep well boys
D1 is running Procomp Extremes while the d2 is on Nitto Trail Grapplers, thanks 👍
Great video. What axles and gears is the Disco 1 running?
Currently running maxi-drive lockers with 4.11 diff gears but I'll be re-gearing the diffs and transfer case in the near future
Amazing!
Nice drive! Air leak on the D2? Sound of the air Compressor everytime.
Yeah, turned out to be loose air line connection.
cool appin tracks
Hiya bud that d1 is a weapon of truck what is the setup with the suspension and engine and turbo cos I can tell it's not a standard turbo setup

@@alex79buckland that's mad it definitely looks the goods I wonder how reliable it will be 160-170bhp from a 300tdi is alot 500 is insane
the suspension is to soft and flexi on that d1 it looks cool but actually losing off road performance
