as a North Carolinian I'm proud to share a home state with this band. a class act representing Raleigh very well. excited to see them in front of a home town crowd at Hopscotch Music Festival
The Veldt/AH still one of my favorite bands. After my first band dissolved long ago, we became fans during the “Soul in a jar” days, and after also. 🤟🏾
Wow! This has been one of my favorite tracks for years, but I didn’t know it had a video. This might be my favorite male vocal performance in the shoegaze cannon. A unique emotional space somewhere between Liz Fraser and Morrissey, in a strange way. I like the end of the video, like a hallucinogenic Jumping Someone Else’s Train. Legends.
So did the band just re-release this again? I was under the impression that the version recorded under Apollo Heights was "newer" and the one they are releasing now is from the 80's. I guess they just put the original 80's version on the Apollo Heights CD and now are re-releasing it again for their archival album.
Such a great band! I love how they bust out cool vintage guitars too. Their new album Illuminated 1989 is FIYAH!
Amazing
I attended a concert last night at Brooklyn's WARSAW. The VELDT put on an amazing performance! I met the band after the show!
Jammi York - super talent.
Mmm. Love this...deeply heartfelt...love to blast this in my car!

I wouldn’t know this song ever existed if Marquise Henry didn’t use it in his Alien part. I revisit every few years. So good.

I could have swore this was Apollo Heights
It is as well.
Help The Veldt get to Europe! www.gofundme.com/the-veldt-europe :)
they'll be playing in Portugal, september the 9th if I'm not mistaken, at Reverence Valada Festival
This is Apollo Heights.
They go by The Veldt now.
Ohhh, that makes sense. Apollo Heights was a much better name though, lol. Captures the mood of songs like this.
